Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1252: Five Element Teleportation Formation

As Shang Xia refined more and more Three Lights Water, he would only be able to gain 1 less month worth of cultivation every time.

By the time he received the third and final batch of Three Lights Water from the institution, he only gained a month worth of cultivation after refining the final drop.

After refining 12 drops of Three Lights Water, Shang Xia’s cultivation actually increased by 6 years!

To a True Immortal at the level of Dao Union, especially to an expert with strong foundations like Shang Xia, 6 years of cultivation was far from being able to reach the level of Returning to the Origin to become a fifth tier True Immortal. However, it couldn’t be denied that it was a huge step forward!

It was the third time the experts of the Dachen Dynasty and Qingling Palace had arrived. After taking 5 talismans, they left behind another batch of resources for the next round of talisman commissions before taking their leave.

Shang Xia actually wanted to get his hands on some rank six talisman inheritances, but they skillfully dodged his requests every time. It was clear they weren’t willing to reveal their inheritances. The only reason the Wanyun Association was willing to hand over some rank six talisman inheritances was because they had been pushed to their limits back then.

In his free time, Shang Xia continued to look into the Variant Formation Talisman that he had crafted for Tong Yutang back then. His goal was to recreate the full set of talismans, and even though it was difficult to recreate it by just referencing the Star Origin Lord Robe, it was a matter of time…

The truly difficult part wasn’t deducing the different types of talismans required. It was combining all 7 of them Shang Xia had discovered to exist as part of the entire set. Even if he had the Star Origin Lord Robe, Shang Xia knew that he couldn’t do it in a short amount of time. Speaking of his research into the talisman… He had already run into an obstacle as the combination method was different from that of the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman.

No matter what, the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman was a rank six talisman at the end of the day. Once Shang Xia completed the deduction and fusion of the Variant Formation Talisman Tong Yutang commissioned, it would probably undergo some sort of transformation into a rank seven talisman!

Shang Xia didn’t stop progressing down the path despite running into an obstacle. Instead, the most direct method he could think of to improve was to continue dissecting the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman. Actually, he had long since thought of creating talismans containing the individual effects that made up the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman.

Of those, he was sure he would be able to derive at least 3 different rank six talismans from them.

The only thing Shang Xia felt that he needed to do was to actually use a Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman for himself so that he could witness its effects.

With a flick of his wrist, a Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman appeared in his hand. It was the only other Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman he crafted with ordinary talisman paper after completing the ones of Shen Chongyun.

However… Just by holding the talisman in his hand, he could tell that its effects would be way weaker than the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman Shen Chongshan used back then.

After half a year, Shang Xia finally emerged from the Star Beast Nest again. He entered the region of chaotic space and activated the talisman without hesitation.

As a dense cloud formed around him, it forced the chaotic streams around him away. 1000 feet around him was turned into a region of separate space and not the slightest fluctuation could be felt.

No matter how hard the chaotic streams tried to invade the region that was covered by the cloud, they were wiped clean.

It was then that Shang Xia took a step out from the cloud and he arrived in the region of chaotic space again.

He continued to test the limit of the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman once he was out. He blasted his Six Direction Qi against it, and he tried reaching his divine soul into the cloud.

That wasn’t all. He raised his Stone Rod to test out the physical strength of the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman’s defense. He also played around with its speed until the talisman was completely exhausted.

He returned to the Star Beast Nest soon after to continue pondering over the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman. While he was still stuck deep in thought, he noticed Hai Yuanyuan walking in his direction with a strange look on her face.

“Is something the matter?” Shang Xia could tell that there was something on her mind and he couldn’t help but ask.

Hai Yuanyuan seemed to think for a moment before she replied. “It’s the Five Element Teleportation Formation… The formation in the Tongyou Institution is complete but because it has to be deployed on both sides, Hall Master Chu needs to come over to personally lay it down. She sent a notification for you to bring her over from the institution…”

“Oh? That is an important matter. Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” Shang Xia muttered before rushing over to the Anchor in the Star Beast Nest which was also where the small scale Five Element Teleportation Formation was.

Hai Yuanyuan could only stomp her feet as she watched Shang Xia leave, but she quickly raced after him.

For her to complete the formation of her Five Element Fate Dippers, she would have to borrow the power of the five elements during the formation of the Five Element Teleportation Formation. That would mean that she had to ask Chu Jia for help.

Actually… The foundation of the Five Element Teleportation Formation had already been laid down in the Star Beast Nest. However, only Chu Jia was able to fully control it, and to prevent anything from going wrong from deploying the super long range Five Element Teleportation Formation, she had to head over personally.

That was also why the Formation Grandmasters who arrived could only lay down the foundation of the formation with explicit instruction from Chu Jia. She had to be the one to complete the final step.

After Shang Xia brought her over, she dropped a massive bomb on Shang Xia before they could do anything.

“The upper echelons of the Spirit Thistle World seemed to have reached an agreement with the True Immortals of our world during the negotiations with Patriarch Kou… We agreed on the expedition against an Azure World. The only thing is to select our target…” Chu Jia said while looking at Shang Xia. “Even though Patriarch Kou is missing, he should return to the institution soon and will probably look for you to get your opinion… After all, you’re the only high-level True Immortal in our world. You’re also the biggest trump card we have in the cooperation with the Spirit Thistle World…”

Shang Xia chuckled in response, “From what we know, there are only 6 Azure Worlds connected to the Star Origin Dao Field… I’m afraid we don’t know too much. What opinions can I have? Right… Did they decide on a time they would start the expedition?”

“I don’t know about that… From what I know, we should be launching the expedition after the Spirit Mammoth World, Spirit Abundance World, and Spirit Tinkle World start theirs…” Chu Jia replied while shaking her head.

Nodding, Shang Xia muttered, “Of course… Do we have news on the latest update on the alliance of the 3 Spirit Worlds?”

Chu Jia thought for a moment before she replied, “I heard the deputy patriarchs talking about it before… The other alliance seems interested in the Azure Abyss World… I don’t know where they got their intelligence from though.”

“Azure Abyss World?” Shang Xia thought for a moment before grunting under his breath. “Could it be because it’s the world closest to ascending?”

Chu Jia needed to tell Shang Xia more information, but she saw Hai Yuanyuan shuffling her feet in the distance while making her way over.

When Hai Yuanyuan saw Chu Jia, she quickly bowed. “Teacher Chu…”

Covering her mouth, Chu Jia looked at Shang Xia and tried to hold back her laughter. She eventually replied, “I heard that you are preparing to enter the Five Element Realm. You’re also planning to refine your fate dippers at once… Are you ready?”

Hai Yuanyuan heaved a sigh of relief after hearing how Chu Jia brought the topic up. “With the care of so many seniors and all the merits I saved up, I have completed my preparations and obtained the fate dipper essences required. All that is left is to obtain Teacher Chu’s assistance!”

“Right. However… You might need to wait around 2 months. Wait for me to modify the formation slightly before establishing a connection with the Tongyou Institution. Only then can I activate the formation and maintain the passage.” Chu Jia smiled.

Nodding slightly, Hai Yuanyuan glanced at Shang Xia before looking back at Chu Jia. After looking several more times, she whispered, “I.. I… I guess I’ll head back and cultivate now.”

Before hearing either of their replies, Hai Yuanyuan turned and sped away countless times faster than when she shuffled over.

Chu Jia couldn’t help but burst out laughing at her antics.

Shang Xia’s reaction was the complete opposite. He shook his head and mumbled, “Alright, I’ll hand this over to you now. After you’re done with the modification, you might need to handle the grand formation too.”

Chu Jia understood what Shang Xia was thinking and she snorted in amusement, “What’s the matter? Are you really in such a rush to leave this place?”

“At the very least, I have to wait till the Five Element Teleportation Formation is established.” Shang Xia sighed.

Chu Jia started to nod, but she thought of something else and she asked, “Right. Do you have any more Three Lights Water here?”

Slightly taken aback, Shang Xia gasped, “Do you need it?”

“Don’t you know? After Yuan Qiuyuan made a batch of them, the patriarch would use it to temper the artifact spirit of his Hidden Frost Sword. It’s said that it’s extremely effective..” Chu Jia explained.

Shang Xia’s eyebrows twitched uncontrollably and he growled, “How many times did he use it to temper his artifact spirit?!”

“He completed 3 cycles… Yuan Qiuyuan made 3 batches, and he took a drop every time…” Chu Jia thought for a moment before stating it casually.

“HEH?! That sneaky old…” Shang Xia cursed.
