Lena didn't know what to think when she found herself sharing the bed with Samuel again. She didn't complain against it, she just found it odd how he suddenly became so comfortable invading her space when he had last told that that he wasn't sure when he would be comfortable coming into her room on his own.
Tonight unlike previously, it didn't seem like it was because he had anything in particular that he wanted to talk about. He was just laying there next to her. One thing that she was at least thankful for was that fact that he hadn't brought any food with him. Tonight she would've staunchly refused to eat. She already felt like she had eaten too much early and it had given her a headache.
"If you're going to keep coming in here like this so often why don't you just plan on moving in once the engagement is official?" She suddenly suggested causing him to turn and face. She was fairly certain that he hadn't been sleeping yet based upon his breathing.
"I didn't think that was something that was going to happen that soon?" He asked in reply.
"Technically, yes. Considering though how you have been inviting yourself in here recently it doesn't seem to me that you would have a problem with it any longer." The princess replied. That had been the only reason she wasn't going to shift things around so quickly- she didn't think that he was going to be comfortable with it.
"Perhaps not like this. You can use your own bed at the first as this isn't my ideal situation from the start since it's not something I'm used to. However, I don't think that it necessarily needs to wait unless you have an objection."
"Only objection is to sharing the same bed together? Why are you worried that I might do something to you?" Samuel asked a ghost of a smirk on his face as he aske this question.
"I don't really think that is something that I need to worry about much." Lena replied with a slight roll of her eyes. Samuel certainly was more confident than he had been in the past with everything that had been going on, but the difference in their strengths was still something that she wasn't worried about that much.
"I might beg to differ." He replied. It was a gently action, but due to how dark it was, she couldn't quite see his movement and before she knew it, she found herself suddenly being pinned to the bed. Samuel made sure however that he wasn't at any risk of hurting the injury on her stomach as he loomed over her. It didn't make her feel any less instinctively defensive about it considering the current position.
"What do you think you're doing exactly?" She asked, looking up at him, now he was close enough that she could tell that there faces weren't that far apart.
"This is the second time that you've mentioned that you don't think that there's anything to worry about with us being in the same space like this. I'm just wondering how many times of this it'll take before you change your opinion?" She knew by his tone and the slight glow she could see in his eyes that he was teasing here. She didn't exactly appreciate it though.
However, this was one moment where she would have to admit that there wasn't much she could do about the current situation that she found herself in. With her injury she couldn't exactly use her legs to push him off like she normally would. Nor could she risk pulling too hard against his hands either even though his grip wasn't much tighter than it was the last time she found herself in this situation.
"Probably too many times because I know you too well to know exactly how much you'd risk pushing your luck in this kind of position." the princess replied back. Shifting slightly when he leaned in closer to her.
"I'm not so sure about that. Even you know how stubborn I can be when I want to be. I could probably hold out long enough to make that happen if I really wanted to." What happened next she wasn't expecting when he leaned his face down even further so that there noses were touching. It caused an odd sparking sensation in her stomach that she wasn't quite sure how to process.
She had been certain that Samuel was going to kiss her considering he had the advantage to do that in their current position without her being able to protest too much. Not that she would though. It wasn't beyond her to bite his lip if he pushed it too much in the current position, but with him she didn't think that would happen since he was still being careful with her even now.
He instead moved to rub their noses together in a motion that was traditional for an Eskimo kiss. It was a small harmless, gesture that he did but she found herself once again in a situation where she wouldn't quite understand why she found herself reacting in such a strong and strange way to these little things that probably didn't mean much to others.
"Stop doing that." her voice and breath came out shorter than she had meant for it to when she told Samuel this. Now it was starting to become an unfair situation that she found herself in.
"Why? I don't think that I'm doing anything particular harmful." Samuel asked as he looked into her eyes.
"Because I don't know what to do about the way I'm feeling." Lena replied honestly, turning her head to the side in hopes of hiding the fact that she was blushing again. This really was starting to become too much for her and she didn't know how to handle it all.
To make matters worse, it didn't seem that Samuel was all that displeased by the way she was reacting to him.. Even if anything, it seemed to make him happy.
