Zhou Chao had just settled into his Lamborghini Veneno when his phone began to ring.

Glancing at the name displayed on his phone, his brows furrowed involuntarily, but he quickly answered the call.

“Hello, Guangyao, what’s up?” It was Zhang Guangyao, whom he had recently parted ways with, on the other end of the line.

“Boss, the leaders from the film and television city arrived earlier. They want to meet you.”

Upon hearing this, a cold smile tugged at the corner of Zhou Chao’s lips. He then replied, “They want to meet me? There’s nothing worth meeting about. Handle it yourself. Why should 1 be bothered with such trivial matters?”

Upon hearing Zhou Chao’s words, Zhang Guangyao broke out in a cold sweat. After all, the boss had entrusted him with full responsibility for the film and television city’s affairs. Calling the boss for such matters was practically asking for trouble.

“Boss, I understand how to handle it now!”

“Good!” Zhou Chao hung up the phone, checked the time, and saw that it was already 12 o’clock.

“Most of the things here are already taken care of. Unfortunately, 1 didn’t get a chance to experience being an extra. Well, let’s head back to the hotel for now.” After some thought, Zhou Chao decided to return to the hotel before making any further plans.

He got into his car and drove towards Xiangshan County.

By the time Zhou Chao returned to the hotel, it was exactly 1 PM. On his way back, he passed by a noodle shop where many people were queuing up. He decided to try the local seafood noodles, which turned out to be quite delicious.

Lying on the bed, he idly played with his phone, scrolling through short videos. Mou Yin’s app automatically recommended several videos about seafood probably because he was in Ning City. Zhou Chao realized that Xiangshan had a large fishing port scenic area.

“If I have the chance, I should bring my yacht to this area in Zhejiang. Occasionally going out to sea and fishing would be much better than staying in Modu. There are also many more varieties of fish here.”

Time passed slowly as Zhou Chao watched videos. Three hours flew by in the blink of an eye. Zhou Chao rubbed his slightly sore eyes and set his phone aside to charge.

“Buzz, buzz!” Just as he plugged in his phone, a call came in, and Zhou Chao was somewhat surprised when he saw the caller ID.

“Hello, Young Master Li, what made you think of calling me? You’re not planning to treat me to a fancy meal, are you?” The caller was Li Hao. It had been a long time since they had met, and they hadn’t been in touch much, just occasional chats.

“Young Master Zhou, do you have any time to visit Hong Kong Island recently? My family has recently partnered with Poly Auction to hold an auction and some stone gambling. I wonder if Young Master Zhou would be interested in attending?”

“Hmm, an auction and stone gambling? What’s the scale of it?”

“It’s quite renowned domestically, and we’ve invited all the top names. As for how many will actually attend, 1 can’t guarantee.”

Zhou Chao thought for a moment and realized that he didn’t have much to do recently. It might be a good idea to pay a visit, especially since Li Hao had personally called him.

“When does the auction start? If it’s tight on time, I may not be able to make it to Hong Kong Island.”

“It starts in three days. When you fly over, just let me know, and 1’11 come pick you up.”

“Sounds good. We’ll get in touch then.”

After a brief exchange of pleasantries and catching up on recent developments, Zhou Chao hung up the phone.

Checking the time, it was almost four o’clock when Zhou Chao decided to call Guo Qilin.

It took quite a while before the call was answered, and Zhou Chao guessed that Guo Qilin might be on a film shoot.

“Young Master Zhou, what’s up?” Guo Qilin’s voice came through the phone.

“I’ll treat you guys to dinner at Xiangshan Wangshanju tonight. 1’11 head back to Modu later!”

Guo Qilin paused for a moment upon hearing this and then replied, “Sure, Young Master Zhou. We’ll finish shooting first, and I’ll come over later.” “Alright, that’s settled. You go ahead, and I’ll hang up!” Without giving Guo Qilin much time to react, Zhou Chao ended the call.

On the other end of the phone, Guo Qilin was taken aback by Zhou Chao’s abrupt action. It took him several seconds to regain his composure.

“Why did Young Master Zhou suddenly call you?” Zhang Ruoyun appeared behind Guo Qilin silently.

Guo Qilin couldn’t help but shudder and quickly turned to look at her. “Gosh, Ruoyun, you scared me. You know, people can get really scared like this!”

“I saw you daydreaming, and I just wanted to check if everything was okay. I heard you were on the phone with Young Master Zhou. Did something happen?”

“Nothing at all. Young Master Zhou is returning to Modu today, and he invited us to dinner tonight. I was just surprised that he called us personally. If it were you, wouldn’t you be surprised too?”

“Well, you have a point there. Anyway, I’m pretty slow at understanding matters. The director called me here to check if you were slacking off. If everything’s fine, 1’11 get back to shooting and try to finish early.”

“Sure, go ahead!” Guo Qilin handed his phone to his assistant and then followed Zhang Ruoyun back to the film set.

Meanwhile, Zhou Chao had already fallen asleep on the bed. After finishing the call, he set an alarm and decided to take a nap.

When Zhou Chao was roused by the alarm, it was already 530 PM. He also noticed a message from Guo Qilin, which had been sent roughly ten minutes earlier.

Zhou Chao quickly freshened up and headed out. He drove his Lamborghini and arrived at Xiangshan Wangshanju in less than ten minutes, just like the last time. They were given the same private room as before.

“Bring us all your specialty dishes, and some seafood as well. That should do for now. If we need more, we’ll call for it!” Zhou Chao ordered when the waiter handed them the menu.

“Yes, sir!” The waiter nodded and left.

After waiting for less than ten minutes, Guo Qilin arrived with Zhang Ruoyun and two others.

“Young Master Zhou!” As they entered the room, they greeted Zhou Chao warmly.

“Hmm, let’s all take a seat!”

Guo Qilin and the others quickly took their seats, and the waiter filled their teacups with hot water.

“I won’t be drinking alcohol today. 1 have to drive back to Modu later tonight. We’ll have a drink next time we meet in Jingdu.”

Everyone nodded in agreement.

“Ruoyun, don’t forget what 1 told you last time. You have to make it happen when the time comes.”

“Don’t worry, it’s a small matter!” Zhang Ruoyun replied confidently.

Zhou Chao nodded in response. Soon, the waiter brought the dishes that Zhou Chao ordered earlier, and the table was filled with delicious food.

“Qilin has gout, so I ordered fewer seafood dishes. If you want more seafood, just ask the waiter to bring it. Don’t be shy!” Zhou Chao mentioned.

A glimmer appeared in Guo Qilin’s eyes as he couldn’t help but think, “We’ve only met a few times, and he remembered my little health issue. It seems like Zhou Chao is someone who pays attention to people he cares about.”

“Let’s eat!” Zhou Chao began to eat, and the others followed suit, picking up their chopsticks.

They continued to enjoy their meal, and the atmosphere was lively and pleasant. Zhou Chao even created a group chat for everyone during the dinner.

In the parking lot of Xiangshan Wangshanju, Zhou Chao stood in front of his car.

“I’ll head off now. We’ll get together again sometime!” Zhou Chao said as he opened the car door and got inside.

“Safe travels, Young Master Zhou!”

Zhou Chao waved his hand at them before driving away..
