Chapter 327 – Cat Dad's Dungeon is Homey
While Mary was guiding the new immigrants to their new residents, she explained the nature of the Slave Dungeon and its floors.
Everybody was in the dungeon's B9 floor, which was nicknamed the resident area. Even though it was considered a floor, it was practically a small world or a small continent.
The urban area was at the center of the B9 floor. All buildings looked deserted at a glance, but many people lived in there. Several intelligent monsters, such as Pretty Skin, also stayed in this place and worked as floor guardians.
The eastern district was the beach and the tourist area. However, residents could use the local warp portals to relax there if they wanted to. The north was the farm district, where the local population could work there to earn some credits and food. The south was a cottage zone that Xiaomao had built when he first created this place for Mary. As for the west, they were reserved to be the all-in-one entertainment district in the future, and they were under construction at the moment.
Learning of their new city layout, Jin Ijin and his friends were puzzled.
"What about electricity, gas, and water? Is there any power plant in this world?"
Mary shook her head, "We don't need those."
"And how are the traffic lights working here without electricity?!"
"Mana. This is a dungeon world, so…"
"…"
Once again, the normal logic didn't work here. Jin Ijin and the others would need some time to adapt to the new world.
For the sake of convenience and the rewards for the first pioneer group, Mary guided them to the southern district – the Cottage Zone.
Unlike the urban area, the cottage zone was more homey and lively. Threes, flowerbeds, plants, and grasses on the roadside soothed the new residents.
Jin Ijin's wife was in a good mood, "I love this place! This is a lot better than that concrete jungle!"
"Yeah, but isn't it too quiet?"
Because no bird or creature was around, everyone couldn't hear anything other than their vehicles' sounds.
"Don't worry. Master Xiaomao and Senior Meowmeow will do something about it soon. I already told them to bring in some birds and squirrels here."
"Lord Meowmeow?"
"Oh, that's the god of this place that you should know. I'll tell you about the guardians, immortals, and monsters that have been protecting this place. Also, you should be paying extra attention to the person that brought you here. He is actually the true master of this world."
Jin Ijin raised his brows and thought of Xiaomao, "Isn't he just a mental…"
Mary narrowed her eyes, "Who is mental?"
"N-Never mind."
Jin Ijin sensed a chill running down his spine. For a moment there, he thought that the girl wanted to kill him.
Everybody stopped talking bad about Xiaomao. They continued to listen to Mary's guidance and waited for her to arrange a place for them to live.
While Mary started gathering and assigning the new residents to their new homes, Jin Ijin and everybody heard a game system noise.
DING
<Welcome to Pangu Online 2!>
<As you are entering this world through a different method, the game will adjust your physique and convert you into a local NPC according to the game rules. However, you can register a game account or log in with your game account to avoid this process.>
Ijin and everybody furrowed their brows and looked at the blue screens in front of them, unable to comprehend the messages.
Fortunately, a few gamers were among their family members. They had played the game, and they were quick to adapt. One of them was a middle-school student, who had a free-ID game account. He started interacting with the system.
"I have an account, and I have a free UR character! Can I use the game character here?"
<Affirmative!>
The young boy's appearance instantly changed from a middle-schooler to a handsome elf warrior.
"EH?!"
His mother was shocked, "Youngki? What did you do?"
The son laughed and flexed his game character, "I sometimes rented a capsule from an internet café and played this game with my friends. I got this new game character from the recent update for free, mom. Actually, everybody can claim a free UR NFT ticket if they register an account. You should register a game account first and claim the free character. After you create the character, you use the game character here instead!"
"What?!"
Jin Ijin, the cops, and the journalist immigrants heard everything. They paused to think for a moment before they tried what the kid had said.
Everybody postponed the game adjustment and chose to register an account. Then, everybody got busy learning a new game environment, rules, and the nature of this game.
Mary noticed their pauses, and she stopped speaking. She waited for them to finish what they were doing.
"This might take a long time. Oh well," Mary sat on the side road, taking a short break.
.
Two hours later, all new permanent residents finished claiming their free UR tickets from the game company and used them. They got different characters, jobs, and races.
Fortunately, the game forced them to use the same name as their real names, so everybody had at least one proof of their identity.
WHOOSH
Jin Ijin's body brightened, and he transformed into a pale, toned high-human. Instead of looking like a middle-aged man, he now looked like a high-schooler as he wore a high-school uniform.
Ijin wryly smiled as he saw his new status attributes and class. It was the same class that Wei Zhi used to have – Warlord.
"Oh, boy. I haven't played a game since PS3 was released. I'm out of touch."
The others were not half-bad either. Everybody looked different, but they were more beautiful and graceful than before. Even an elderly grandma of a cop turned into a pretty high-elf saintess under a blindfold.
"Hohoho! It's good to be young again! Hey, little Bobo. Do you mind if I get a new grandpa for you?"
"Grandma, what?!"
The crowd started getting noisy as they admired each other's new looks.
Mary shook her head and waited for them to settle down. She also had a headache.
"Damn noobs. Oh, well. There's a first time in everything."
.
.
While the crowd got rowdy, the temporary visitors, aka the journalist group, took a short tour around the urban area before they left the world. They returned to Earth so that they could report everything to their headquarters and tell their families.
Although Xiaomao was busy dealing with the two frustrated mermaids, he was mindful enough to escort the journalists back to their world.
Mir took over the escort task as she didn't plan to stay in Xiaomao's dungeon. While she was at it, she kicked Seo Jungwoo into the portal.
"Join Xiaomao's guild! That's an order, mew! I'll be handling the humans for now. Come back to Earth when you're at least a half-step immortal, mew!"
Just like that, Mir closed the portal, isolating Jungwoo in the game world.
Being abandoned, Jungwoo dryly laughed and looked at his new boss, "I guess this is where I have to rely on you. Please take care of me from now on, guild leader."
Xiaomao deeply sighed, "Likewise, comrade."
Jungwoo used his add-on skill and transformed it into his game character – Ran Tae. Then, he applied to join MUNYA Guild, which Xiaomao accepted right away.
DING
<Ran Tae has joined MUNYA Guild.>

RUMBLE
Xiaomao and Jungwoo were not the only ones that had been working tirelessly to improve their foundation and increase their strength via cultivation. In the mansion behind the Blood Tree, Shepherd had also been training under the guidance of his wives.
Titania, the fairy queen, was the ring leader of this project. She taught him a dual-cultivation method and allowed Shepherd to absorb her Qi to make him stronger.
Unfortunately, Shepherd lacked a hyperbolic time pocket dantian like Jungwoo and Xiaomao. He had a pocket dantian, but the time flow was 1:1. Without the power of time, he didn't have their luxurious battle experience.
Still, Shepherd had multiple sponsors who had been watching over him. He became the first who reached the half-step immortal stage before all of Xiaomao's subordinates.
DING
<Congratulations, you have reached level 999!>
<To reach level 1,000, you need to complete the following requirements…>
Shepherd stopped meditating and opened his eyes to look at his game system.
.

.
Shepherd deeply sighed as he wasn't ready yet. He lacked the required stats, the elemental foundation, and the completed Mahayana Foundation.
To complete such requirements, Shepherd needed more time to train and adjust to his new powers.
He closed his eyes and thought to himself.
'Soon, master. Soon. I'll be useful to you soon. Once I become an immortal, I can start doing my work… For all the clones in this world!'
