Tian ai roamed the streets. Blackie was not able to get a sniff of Yue. The black cat regretfully came back to her with a sad look on its face.

"It's okay. We will find I'm,"

She took up the part and started to search for small clues the kidnappers might have left. The first thing was that there were no traces left on the ground. Not even footprints in the small street Fan had been mentioned.

The street that had residual Yue's scent led to a dead end. The wall was about five seven-foot tall.

Tian silently climbed the wall and examined that spot. It led directly to another street.

If a person was carrying another fifty kg weight on their shoulders it will take a bit of energy and time to climb over this straight wall.

That kid mentioned that Yue's disappeared from this spot.

'Someone with great agility and strength must have taken Yue captive..'

On the other side of the wall, she noticed small clues.

It was footprints. The culprit had tried to merge his footprints and made it seem like many people walked around here but only one footprint was seen throughout the place.

She followed after it.

But soon it started to drizzle.

Cussing out loud Tian ran. She did not have any time to waste or else all clues will be erased.

A slight smell permeated the air. Peng Peng sniffed loudly. It was an earthy scent.

It was a very pleasant smell.

But the only problem was it was too overwhelming.

Somehow his body had developed a very strong sense of smell and hearing. To the point it really disturbed his sleep.

His windows banged as the wind picked up.

He ran to shut them. Outside he noticed a black-cloaked figure panting.

Peng Peng sniffed. This person smelled just like Yue and garlic. Thinking that it was his best friend he waved. "Yue~ Yue baby~ come in. It's raining~ don't get wet...."

The black-cloaked figure dashed away.

"Huh? What was that...." he simply watched as this figure ran into the creepy neighbor's house.

"That was not Yue….Why does that guy smell like him?"

The neighbor's dog started to cry and howl loudly.

Again!

It was infuriating!

"Okay fuck this. I'm going to have the talk!"

Till now he was hesitant to say anything but that dog's cries were getting too annoying. His poor eardrums were trembling.

Just this once he was ready to be the 'Karen' and confront this guy.

Swiftly throwing on a coat, and taking an umbrella he ran to the neighbor's place and knocked. "Hello! You inside!"

There was a sound of things tumbling down.

The dog whimpered and whined loudly. It was accompanied by the loud sound of thrashing.

"Hey! Is everything okay?" he shouted.

The dog instantly went silent.

Peng just stood out there waiting for the dog to shout again. He was ready to burst the door and take a look at what was going inside if that dog cried one more time. But to his surprise, it did not.

"Yeah... feed him well! and take care of him darn it! Why is the dog crying so much! I'm having trouble sleeping," he whispered and left.

Just by his door, he saw another figure running in the rain. This person looked exactly like Yue.

"Yue~" he called out again.

That person paused, glanced at him, and ran away. "I'm not Yue,"

"Huh? What the heck..."

Curious by this behavior Peng Peng ran after this fire. "Who are you then? Why do you smell like him….stop running. Why the heck are you even running in the rain.."

As he followed after this figure he felt a difference in this person's scent. it was not Yue's subtle food scent. This person smelled like nothing.

Yue his dined had a very special rose and soup smell that never left his body. that guy literally smelled like food all the time.

"this... hey, are you Yue's sister,"

The person glanced back, panting. "Why are you following me?"

"I.. I thought you were Yue. I wanted to give you an umbrella" he held it out to her.

"No need. Go back home."

"Wait why are you running around. Is there any problem," he rushed after her. The girl was very fast and hard to keep up.

But his body now was nimble as a cat. he could easily keep up with her.

"Yue's missing," she said, glancing at him coldly.

"m-missing?! Why.. I mean how... did you get any clues? Was he kidnapped?"

Yue's sister continued running in the direction with determination. "he was.... I don't know where he is..." she stammered.

Standing out in the middle of the road Peng Peng caught Yue's scent again. "wait he is close," he continued, sniffing the air.

She looked at him in surprise. "You can smell him?"

Even blackie could not sniff out Yue.

The black cat approached Peng Peng and sniffed his feet.

Peng Peng just stepped back and stayed away from the feline.

"Yeah totally.. The smell is coming from this direction.." he followed the scent all the way over to what looked like an old department store.

The shutter was broken, and the inside looked like it was barely cleaned.

"It's here. I smell him here."

There was a small sound of footsteps walking out of the store.

"Someone's coming," he whispered

Tian grabbed him by the back of his collar and dragged him to the nearby abandoned building. They both hid behind a wall.

"Why are we hiding? I thought we were going to rescue Yue.."

"There are too many people inside. I can sense at least ten.... there is a chance that all of them might have powers. If we make the wrong move they can easily kill Yue." Tian cursed under her breath. Swiftly she took out her sniper gun from the duffle bag and assembled it.

Peng Peng looked at her, complexly astonished. "Wow.. You're like cool..."

"shh." She closed his mouth. "Don't talk.. and stay here. Don't go out. It's dangerous," she whispered and climbed up to get a good vantage point.

"Wait for me," Peng Peng ran after her. Yue's sister was too cool. he could not help but Fan girl over her.

She laid on the ground and adjusted her gun.

Peng Peng laid belly down next to her as well.

She just gave him a weird stare. "Don't get in the way,"

"I won't~" he sniffed the air slightly. "There are ten men who smell like shit. Four young women who smell like sweat and tears... oh I smell Yue in the right most corner. There was a weird chemically smell that is attached to his scent..."

"Meow," the black cat rubbed against his body.

Peng Peng pushed her from him.

"Are you certain?"

"Definitely,"

Tian took a look through her scope. It was just as this man said. She could only get a vague shot at three of them close to the window. The rest of them were hidden behind walls.

"Fuck I don't have a clear shot!"

"Hey you! You're Yue's friend right. I need you to run back to the farm and inform Fan Xui this location."

Peng Peng pointed to himself. He consciously hid his ears under his hood.

pAn,Da-n0v e1,c,m Tian noticed his action.

"It's not the time to get shy. Yue's life's in danger. That chemical smell.. was it garlic smell or did it smell like a sewer?"

"yeah it smelled like garlic….why do you ask..."

"There is a high chance he must have been poisoned. Most likely rat poison. It's been too long since he had been exposed to it. Quickly bring Fan Xui here. Only Trexa can help him,"

Peng Peng understood the seriousness of the situation. He ran out of the building and towards the barrack.

His heart was pounding with anxiety. But his fear that Yue might get hurt overcame it all.
