Demon Lord Management Sim Game

Chapter 45 45 – The Demon Chariot

"Let's go!" Emily jumped next to me with a grin. "We will smash that thing!"

"You look really excited, Emily." I chuckled.

The undead supreme lowered the giant sword from her back. "After five hundred years of almost no fighting, I've realized that I love battle."

"So, you're just like Ritor. You know that he also loves battle, right?"

The corners of Emily's lips dropped. "Please, don't compare me to that idiot. I'm different from him to the bone."

I chuckled again, then looked at the demon chariot running in the distance. Over time, I realized something. Yes, I did hear a clatter from that thing. However, the dark gray horse was hovering in the air, about a foot off the ground, its feet emitting black smoke in every movement.

It's the same with the box-shaped chariot drawn by the creature. The two wheels of that thing did not touch the ground either and continued to emit black smoke.

No wonder those two objects didn't cause an earthquake on the ground, even though they were the size of a big truck. Not only that, the corpses here are mostly still intact because they were not passed directly by the demon chariot.

"Shit." I narrowed my eyes, looking at the faceless head of the horse, also emitting black smoke. "Looks like the plan I made can't be used."

Initially, I would use the undead army to block the demon chariot to at least slow it down. With that, I thought it would be easier to stop it.

Unfortunately, it couldn't be done anymore if the demon chariot didn't even touch the ground.

"Yeah, shit." Emily looked at her army of undead. "Some undead magic users can use ground magic, my lord. Maybe they can raise the ground to trip up the demon chariot."

"Well, that's good?"

"However, I'm not sure that the earth wall created will be tall and strong enough. Maybe it will fall, but that doesn't mean it will stop. Perhaps it can get up and running again after that. That thing is massive."

"Do you have any other ideas using magic?"

"Sorry, I've no more." Emily shook her head. "The only magic I know is necromancy, after all."

If only I had magic users on my team, I could ask them for advice on what kind of magic to use against the demon chariot. Unfortunately, I was too focused on the management aspect of this game, so I forgot to build a team with balanced roles.

Right now, my party members only consist of melee fighters.

Ayre went up to the ruin that I stepped on. "It seems that the creature is getting closer, Your Majesty. You must make a decision as quickly as possible."

I narrowed my eyes, observing the demon chariot still speeding in the ruins' streets.

If the undead jump on the demon chariot, I'm not sure that thing will stop. At most, it will just sway.

"Ah…" An idea finally crossed my head. "We have to get ready."

***

I, my subordinates, and the undead army stood on one side of the ruins, lined up, waiting for the demon chariot to arrive.

"Honestly, I'm very excited, my lord." Emily smiled so broadly that her teeth showed. "I've never fought anything like this."

"I am also like that." Ayre chimed in. "My chest is pounding wildly over what's going to happen next."

"But, why is your expression so flat, Ayre?" Emily raised her new black eyebrows.

Ayre looked at Emily and changed her face like the supreme undead, complete with that big smile.

Now it was Emily's turn to have a flat expression.

Szur laughed for the third time because of that.

"We have to focus, guys." Despite saying that, I was actually holding back a laugh. I didn't expect Ayre to have such a sense of humor.

Since the demon chariot was detouring, some time passed before it finally drew near us. To be honest, I was nervous when I saw that thing's insane speed, probably close to 200 miles per hour.

"Ready!" I gave the order. And when that thing got so close to us, I screamed. "Go!!!"

The undead magic users on the streets raised their magic wands, making walls out of the ground. The faceless horse that was pulling the chariot stumbled and rolled forward but was able to run again.

However, its speed was drastically reduced.

"Jump!!!" I shouted again.

We jumped almost simultaneously, clinging to the chariot and its horse, making them tilt to the right.

The faceless horse raised both legs, then ran aimlessly, constantly swaying and crashing into ruins. I had to desperately hold on to the gaps of the plates that make up the horse so I wouldn't fall. I could fly but would be left behind because my speed was insufficient.

"Looks like our plan to make it go awry doesn't work, my lord!" While holding onto the chariot, Emily shouted as the demon chariot's run stabilized.

"Attack the body!" I, along with my subordinates and the undeads, did that, but we didn't get the expected reaction. This creature keeps running. "Shit!"

I've beaten this horse with all my might, but I only feel the hardness of the body. It's like not a living being made of flesh.

"What should we do, my lord!?" Emily asked. "This isn't working either!"

"Remove the part that connects to the horse!!!" I responded with all my might, fighting the howling wind that kept hitting my body.

Emily, Ayre, and several undeads moved onto the chariot's two rods attached to the horse. Those rods are about the size of an adult hug.

"This thing is connected directly to the horse's body, my lord!" Ayre shouted when she got to one of the Rods. "No ties, hinges, or anything like that!"

"Then we smash it!" Emily raised her giant sword, then slammed it against one of the rods.

There was only a loud clank, but not a single crack appeared.

"Come on!" Emily was about to hit the thing again, but the horse made a sharp turn. The body of the supreme undead was blown away.

"Emily!!!" I didn't even see her body land on the ground because this demon chariot was too fast.

Shit. Should I jump down to check on her?

"My lord! Szur has an idea!" Szur crept up to me. "But maybe this will sound weird!"

"Just say it, Szur!" I snapped at him in frustration. "Any ideas will be welcome!"

The little creature gulped. "Every creature has a butthole, right?"
