Now, Tu Gang and the gang members of the Green Dragon Gang were only 20 meters away from Ling Yun and his friends.
Tu Gang was aware that Ling Yun had no way to escape, thus, he intentionally slowed down, lifted his chin and flashed an evil grin. His eyes gleamed with cruelty and complacency as his face spelled out, “You’re dead meat”.
Tang Meng’s panic was written all over his face. He lowered his voice and asked Ling Yun, “Boss, what are we going to do?” The reason for his panic was fear for the Green Dragon Gang, but instead due to his worry for Li Qingchuan, who was still unconscious on the ground.
“Don’t worry, get up right now and bring Little Ning to safety. Also, I think Lingyu and Cao Shanshan are heading here right now. Hold them off, don’t let them get involved!”
Ling Yun’s expression was as calm as a placid lake. Right now, three fingers on his right hand were resting on Li Qingchuan’s wrist in order for Ling Yun to read his pulse, whereas his left hand was busy taking the nine gold needles out of the needle pouch.
“Then, what about Big Brother Chuan? Boss, I spent my entire childhood growing up with him. You have to save him!”
Tang Meng pleaded wholeheartedly.
Ling Yun found him extremely long-winded and glared at him. “Am I not saving him right now? Leave quickly, this is the perfect opportunity for us to prove that we’re not working with each other!”
Ling Yun’s words sent a chill down Tang Meng’s spine. He thought to himself, Boss truly is amazing. In the face of a great enemy and a patient suffering from a heart attack at the brink of death, he’s still thinking about scamming people!
However, Tang Meng chose to believe in Ling Yun. He got up swiftly and said to Xue Meining, “Little Ning, let’s not bother Boss anymore. Let’s head to the side and watch how Boss is going to hand them their a*ses!”
Xue Meining had witnessed Ling Yun fighting before and knew that her presence would only be a hindrance to him. Thus, she nodded her head quickly and left with Tang Meng, not before asking Ling Yun to be careful.
Right before she left, the Little Demon Girl turned around and grunted loudly at Tu Gang and the members of Green Dragon Gang as she thought to herself, I didn’t even get a chance to savor my first kiss before you guys came along and ruined everything!
“What the hell? What’s going on? How inhumane can Tang Meng get? To abandon Ling Yun and Li Qingchuan right now?”
“D*mn, I’m guessing Tang Meng is scared this time. The Green Dragon Gang has eyes and ears everywhere in Qingshui City, I’m assuming he doesn’t want to get himself in trouble!”
“Disloyal brat. I thought Tang Meng would fight alongside Ling Yun against the Green Dragon Gang…”
“How is this disloyal? Tang Meng and Ling Yun aren’t even from the same class. I’ve never seen them interact before in the past. I’m sure there’s no reason for Tang Meng to suffer just because of Ling Yun…”
Sure enough, discussions and remarks begin to bubble up the moment the thousand over students saw Tang Meng abandoning Ling Yun!
Right outside the classroom of Grade 12 Class 1, Xie Junyan witnessed this scene unfold from the corridor and he began to squint his eyes in confusion.
“Are they really not as close as I thought they were? Otherwise, with Tang Meng’s personality, it’s impossible for him to abandon Ling Yun right now…”
“I guess the gambling event hosted by Tang Meng on the day of Ling Yun’s run was really unintentional. It’s just that this fellow went out for wool and came home shorn…”
As his thoughts trailed on, a sinister smile appeared on Xie Junyan’s face. If this was all true, he would be a lot more confident in handling Ling Yun.
As Cao Shanshan and Ning Lingyu ran towards them, Tang Meng and Xue Meining blocked them from entering. They told the two campus belles to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. They also told Cao Shanshan and Ning Lingyu to stop Zhang Dong, Chai Hanlin, and the rest of Ling Yun’s classmates who were all dashing down towards them.
Everyone in Qingshui City knew that the Green Dragon Gang always fought as if their lives were on the line and were all viciously cruel. Even though Zhang Dong and his friends were coming forward, all they could do was to suffer a few blows for Ling Yun. As for beating the Green Dragon Gang into submission and making them retreat, that would be completely impossible.
After getting blocked by Tang Meng and Xue Meining, all of them were discouraged and lost their fighting spirit. All they could do was stand by Tang Meng and look at Ling Yun worryingly.
However, this was already considered an impressive feat! Their opponents were not just any random high school students from another class, they were the biggest gang in Qingshui City, the Green Dragon Gang!
Ning Lingyu knew she would be causing more trouble for her brother if she headed over. Now, she had more than a million reasons to believe that her brother was capable of handling the situation easily, thus, she no longer insisted on heading over.
However, Cao Shanshan thought otherwise. She glared at Tang Meng with her bloodshot eyes and yelled at him with her mellifluous voice, “Tang Meng, how could you abandon Ling Yun and Li Qingchuan? Can’t you see that there are more than 30 Green Dragon Gang members? Don’t stop me, let me go!”
Cao Shanshan knew that she would be able to help Ling Yun fend off at least 7 or 8 people, so why should Tang Meng be stopping her from helping out?
Ning Lingyu gently tugged on Cao Shanshan’s sleeve and gave her a smile. With a reassuring look on her face, Ning Lingyu conveyed her gratitude and appreciation to Cao Shanshan.
Cao Shanshan stopped and pondered to herself. Even Ning Lingyu, the person who worried for Ling Yun the most, was acting out of the ordinary and stopping her from helping out. Her stare at Ning Lingyu was filled with confusion, seemingly looking for an answer.
About 7 meters away, Ling Yun was still crouching down and calmly examining Li Qingchuan’s pulse. Tang Meng observed the scene unfolding before him and nodded silently.
Right now, Li Qingchuan’s pulse was extremely weak. The very same Li Qingchuan who had been arrogant and cocky about a minute ago was now unconscious on the ground. His fate was still unknown.
Ling Yun released his grip on Li Qingchuan’s wrist and held onto the nine gold needles in his left hand in one swift motion. With a twitch of his pinky, the long needle leaped from his palm into the space between his thumb and index finger.
His eyes swept across Li Qingchuan’s body and he pricked the needle into a major acupuncture point on his chest at lightning speed!
The Nine Needles of The Spiritual Pivot!
“I didn’t expect you to have such a bad temper. Don’t you know you have a congenital cardiovascular disease? You’re in luck today since I’m here. If it was someone else, do you think you’d still be able to survive?”
Ling Yun did not forget to insult Li Qingchuan even while he inserted the needles into him and performed the acupuncture procedure. He flashed a smile and said, “Alright, for the sake of Little Ning and Tang Meng, I’ll cure you and rid you of your disease completely!”
“Oh God! What is Ling Yun doing? He inserted such a long needle into Li Qingchuan’s chest!”
“Isn’t that just too shameless of him? Li Qingchuan is already in such a bad state, by pricking him with needles, isn’t he just taking advantage of Li Qingchuan’s suffering?”
“You’re just being an idiot, he’s obviously treating him! If I’m not wrong, that’s acupuncture from traditional Chinese medicine!”
“What? Treating? Ling Yun knows how to treat patients?!”
Nearly a thousand people were left in a daze by Ling Yun’s actions. No one would have expected Ling Yun to pull off such a stunt in a blaze of publicity!
Nowadays, traditional Chinese medicine might seem very distant. Most people would think of traditional Chinese medicine as something mysterious, let alone these high school students who only cared about academics and video games.
This time, not only were Cao Shanshan and Zhang Ling amazed, even Ning Lingyu was amazed!
When Brother suddenly had so much money yesterday and I asked him how, he said it was because he saved someone. Could it be possible that brother was telling the truth?
Ning Lingyu’s eyes brightened up!
No wonder mom was so calm about brother’s sudden extravagant behavior. I’m guessing she found out about his ability to treat people with traditional Chinese medicine long ago!
“Turns out, brother really didn’t lie to me!” Unbeknownst to everyone at that moment, what Ning Lingyu cared about most was the fact that Ling Yun had not lied to her!
Meanwhile, Cao Shanshan is completely shaken! While others were unfamiliar with traditional Chinese medicine, as Xue Meining’s closest friend and a practitioner of martial arts, it was only natural for her to have a much better understanding of traditional Chinese medicine than most of her peers!
No wonder Little Ning knows who Ling Yun is and claims that he is her boyfriend. Could it be possible that Miracle Doctor Xue has already taken in Ling Yun as his disciple?
Initially, she had intended to ask Xue Meining about it, but her thoughts were immediately interrupted by the memory of Xue Meining making out with Ling Yun right in her face. She couldn’t help but feel disheartened as her words got stuck in her throat.
Ling Yun had already reached the peak of Physique Tempering Stage Level 3 and the spiritual energy coursing through his veins could only be described as ‘surging waves’. Of course, he would not be stingy with that bit of spiritual energy. With every needle that was pricked into Li Qingchuan’s acupuncture points, Ling Yun would direct a huge amount of his spiritual energy into Li Qingchuan’s body through the gold needles.
With the Nine Needles of The Spiritual Pivot, every stream of spiritual energy that entered Li Qingchuan’s body resembled a lively dragon, which began to protect and repair Li Qingchuan’s heart and blood vessels.
Even though Ling Yun was extremely quick with his movements as he inserted the needles, he intentionally slowed down his pace the moment the gold needles were placed into the acupuncture points. He wanted to guarantee that he could cure Li Qingchuan completely in one go.
Right now, the thirty over people led by Tu Gang had Ling Yun completely surrounded.
Tu Gang had obviously seen Tang Meng leaving. He also noticed Ning Lingyu, Cao Shanshan, Zhang Dong and a lot more who were all present at the fight that day. However, he did not give much thought because he knew that these people posed no threat to them. The reason he had brought more than 30 people to handle Ling Yun alone!
Tu Gang was clearly aware that Ling Yun was not just an ordinary person since he had been able to fracture his skull and break his wrist all in one go!
As long as they are able to take down Ling Yun, Tu Gang could single-handedly take down everyone else!
Meeting an enemy is like ripping open an old wound!
Tu Gang noticed that Ling Yun ignored them as he continued carrying out the acupuncture procedure for the pretty boy who was unconscious on the ground, not sparing them a single glance. Thus, he said to the Green Dragon Gang Members, “There’s something up with this kid. Let’s take him down together on the spot!”
“Wait!” Ling Yun said to them with his head looking down, as his hands continued working on the patient.
“What is there to wait for? Are you just playing dumb right now, kid? Now you’re scared? Too late!”
Tu Gang flashed a sinister smile as he reached his left hand out to grab the baseball bat that was sandwiched between his right arm and torso before raising it up high.
Ling Yun furrowed his eyebrows slightly, “I’m not talking about that!”
Tu Gang is taken aback as his baseball bat that was crashing towards Ling Yun came to a stop in midair. He asked, “Then what on earth are you talking about? Any last words?”
After a momentary pause, he began to chuckle again. “Kid, don’t worry, we won’t kill you. We’ll just break your arms and legs! We’ll break your limbs with our baseball bats! Hehehe…”
Faraway, the thousand spectators who were witnessing the scene held their breaths and were unable to conceal the horror in their eyes. Some even shut their eyes out of fear, as if they did not want to witness the tragic scene of Ling Yun getting beaten to a pulp!
