Li Qiye stood before a dark expanse surrounding a giant holding something.
“It’s time to show yourself.” Li Qiye raised his voice.
“Bam!” A powerful blast separated the darkness, revealing a giant covered in fur; his original form was obscured. They stood on end, making him look like a porcupine.
The hair was a form of dark energy manifested into long strands and densely packed around him.
They flickered with lightning bolts and held no evil intent. This seemed to be a curse of the ultimate yin affinity, never to be lifted. It didn’t try to tempt or drag him into the darkness but rather, bind him for eternity.
The source of this curse was the object in his grasp - an old coffin. Images leaked out of it, revealing a world of nothing but eternal curses.
The giant held onto this coffin for dear life despite being cursed - forever subjected to pain and agony.
“Raa!” He roared and channeled a majestic power. Powerful rays emanated outward, turning him into a mighty monarch. It resisted the curse's power and attempted to suppress the source within the coffin.
“Bam!” The eruption alone was enough to destroy Sin and made his eyes regain their lucidity and profundity.
“Sir, save me.” He whispered.“Boom!” The source within the coffin released a heavenly might different from the one commonly seen by cultivators.
Normally, the high heaven suppressed and murdered directly instead of using curses. A tribulation was frightening enough but one imbued with a curse?
“Ahh!” The man had grown immensely strong through time but couldn’t withstand the curse. More “hair” grew around him and longer than before, turning him into a thorny balloon.
His eyes became black again, unable to see the light. Any light capable of illuminating his eyes would immediately turn to darkness.
Nevertheless, his dao source continued to struggle within, attempting to stop the curse from taking over entirely. Unfortunately, as long as he was alive, so would the curse.
Worst of all, it didn’t let him die either and continued to grow within him. It gave him eternal life to subject him to endless torment.
“Sir… Ahh!” He lost his sanity again and the coffin’s waves of curse overwhelmed him, reaching the next level.
He was no longer the sole focus. The curse from the coffin felt Li Qiye’s existence and intensified to deal with him.
It had never felt threatened despite the man’s tenacity and cultivation. The situation changed the moment it noticed Li Qiye - someone capable of destroying a heavenly curse.
The man had lasted for eras now and maintained a sliver of sanity. Now, he had forgotten himself and his reason for being.
“Raa!” He became a vessel for the tribulation and made it stronger than ever before.
The destructive heavenly waves bypassed the dimensions and seeped into Sin, striking everyone near the immortal palace with horror.
