Chapter 46: Corpse

I rushed back to my dorm after making sure the events of the arc went accordingly.

I was now back sitting on my bed in my dorm, thinking about what I did.

I killed someone, and I didn't feel bad about it, I actually felt happy I did it.

I mean, I'm not a psychopath, I have emotions, but I don't feel anything towards Alicia's death, I just think it's necessary for the future of the world, it happened once, why not twice?

"Kaine, are you okay?" Mina asked me as she noticed my blank expression.

"Yeah, I'm fine" I replied.

"Are you sure? You've been smiling for no reason while staring at the ceiling."

But I had another problem in hand currently.

If I went outside with that thing activated, people would sense that something was wrong, plus Daemon would question me about my aura as he must have felt it in the hallway.

I needed something... and quick.

But that's when I heard a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Mina asked.

"It's Sarah, can I come in?"

"Sure" she answered.

And so, the blue haired girl entered the room and sat beside us.

"What's up?" I asked her.

"Huh... well..." her eyes were fidgeting and she had a hard time looking me in the eyes, "c-can we do it again, I mean... huh... sex?"

Hearing her words, something clicked inside of my head.

I seriously need to watch my expressions from now on, if people see someone smile after such news, they will obviously question me.

"Okay then..." she nodded and sat down in her seat.

I followed her and sat down on mine while Sarah followed us closely, I looked at Daemon and saw that he was still staring at the empty chair.

"I wonder how he feels right now..." I mumbled while internally smiling, "come on blondie, you're the main character, you'll get over a random girl dying."

"What did you say Kaine?" Mina asked me.

"Nothing" I shook my head.

"Okay then..." she nodded and turned back to look at the front.

Ms.Lana came inside of the classroom in a rush at that moment and spoke as she reached the desk.

"As you all know, we have found two corpses in the basement today, and we need to investigate, so no class today" she announced and instantly went out of the classroom.

But then she peeked her head from the door again, "Daemon, come with me, we need to talk", she gestured for him to come and he listened.

I mean he was the closest person to her in the school so he should obviously be the one who knows of her whereabouts right?

In the original novel he explained everything to the teachers, which led them to hide the truth from the students and ultimately decided to improve the security of the school ground.

He was questionned by his classmates about everything but he ignored them and didn't even look at them in the face.

After around two weeks he finally calmed down and was back to his original self along with his two harem members who he also distanced himself from.

What an incredibly convenient way to move on from an arc to another without having to dive in too much on the consequences of the previous one isn't it author?

Anyways, now Daemon only had a single thing on his mind, and it was to avenge his friend, which led him to enter one of the biggest arcs of the first school year.

"Lotus High"

He hated this name with a passion since he read it on the villain's card, now all he wanted to do was to crush them.

Oh man, I don't know what he would do if he realized it's not the organization that did all of this, but me, one of his classmates...

I chuckled at the thought of that.

Now everyone in class was starting to leave either alone or with their friends, a day without class was always a good one.

Me, Mina and Sarah also packed our things and headed towards the exit door.

But before leaving, I looked at the empty chair beside Daemon again and smiled.

"Goodbye Alicia, nobody will ever know the truth of your death."
