Chapter 293: Buried Together

The Azure Dragon Empire soon gave the announcement, and it was a very severe announcement. It was ordering Su Diwang to report to Stellarsky City and provide a very reasonable explanation. Otherwise, they would send their army and summon the other five kingdoms to attack and destroy the Great Xia Kingdom.

Soon enough, the five vassal kingdoms each gave their own announcement: asking for the royal clan of Great Xia Kingdom to provide a reasonable explanation. Else, they would march on with the Azure Dragon Empire’s army and attack the Great Xia Kingdom.

This time, all the influential forces were united; this matter was too significant that involved the survival of the human race. Without any reasonable explanation, they must join forces and teach the Great Xia Kingdom a lesson. If not, something similar might happen again in the future.

It was normal and frequent for humans to have war between one another, but this time, the demonic beasts were brought in for assistance in an internal fight between humans. This was violating the rules which gave rise to public anger, and this must be answered. If they didn’t destroy the Great Xia Kingdom, it wouldn’t appease the people’s anger; and it wouldn’t give a blood warning to future generations.

The Water Moon Observatory, Great Zen Monastery, and the three major colleges gave their announcements, too. They came written with forceful criticisms, requesting for the royal clan of the Great Xia Kingdom to offer an explanation. Otherwise, they would attack as well. In the face of righteousness for the human race, all the influential forces were surprisingly united. If the Great Xia Kingdom couldn’t give an explanation within a month, the armies would enter their territory.

Could the Great Xia Kingdom offer an explanation?

Obviously not!

That Green Clear Vase was indeed an artifact that belonged to the royal clan of the Great Xia Kingdom, but before the demonic beast insurrection, it was borrowed by Su Diguo. Su Diguo was the Great Xia Kingdom’s only Great General Lord, and Su Diwang trusted him a lot. Since Su Diguo wanted the Green Clear Vase, Su Diwang didn’t have so many considerations and just handed it over to him. How did it land in the hands of those mysterious black-robed men who used it to kidnap the little fox? This was something Su Diwang couldn’t understand either.

It didn’t matter if those eight mysterious black-robed men were Su Diguo’s subordinates, this matter couldn’t be explained. Su Diwang knew that he was being wrongly accused because he didn’t plot any of this. He had a soft character, and after his hundreds of thousands of soldiers had been slaughtered by Jiang Bieli, he had lost all his prowess and drive. He had been numbing himself with wine and women. Why would he find such guts to plot such a huge scheme?

After receiving the information, he fainted from anger; and when he awakened, he furiously smashed everything in the palace. He then truly gave the decree to execute Su Diguo’s bloodlines as the details didn’t matter, and Su Diguo was certainly involved.

Su Diguo did fight for the throne back then, but he won it upright and frankly. It wasn’t like how Su Ziheng narrated it where he amended the posthumous edict and stole the throne.

Even if Su Diguo was a competitor back then—once Su Diwang ascended the throne, he disregarded the former hatred. Su Diguo’s strength was exceptional so Su Diwang broke the exceptions and finally promoted him to the Great General Lord position who held one-fifth of the kingdom’s military forces and became the second most important man of the Great Xia Kingdom.

Why was Su Diguo involved in this matter? Why did he finally threw his life away? Who was the true mastermind behind the scenes?

Su Diwang didn’t know, and he didn’t send anyone to assassinate Su Diguo either. He could feel an invisible giant hand that was manipulating and dictating everything.

He was being accused wrongfully!

He was angered, but he couldn’t give any reasonable explanation. All the more he didn’t dare go to Stellarsky City. With Su Pingping dead—once he entered Stellarsky City, he was afraid he would never be able to return.

The only thing he did was to send out an announcement, stating that the Great Xia Kingdom had been wrongfully accused and had never plotted such a huge conspiracy. He, Su Diwang, wouldn’t be so demented either. He swore on the name of the ancestors of the Great Xia Kingdom, that this matter definitely wasn’t orchestrated by the royal clan of the Great Xia Kingdom.

With a voluminous speech of around a thousand words, expressing his emotions in speech, and even bringing out the ancestors of the Great Xia Kingdom as a vow—it was obvious how fearful and panic-stricken Su Diwang was.

This announcement didn’t have any decisive evidence; neither was it a flawless explanation. It didn’t even mention the Green Clear Vase; Su Diwang knew that no one would believe it even if he said it. Was he just going to say that he lent the Green Clear Vase to Su Diguo—everything was done by Su Diguo, and that the royal clan had nothing to do with it? Who would actually believe that?

Once the announcement was made, the continent was in an expected uproar again. There were initially many who were skeptical, but now, they were certain that this incident’s mastermind was the royal clan of the Great Xia Kingdom. There was a spur of agitation, causing the countless citizens of the Saint Spirit Kingdom to submit their names, requesting to join the army and fight to raze the Great Xia Kingdom to the ground.

The Azure Dragon Empire replied with another announcement: ordering for Su Diwang to report to Stellarsky City and offer a face-to-face explanation to them and the five other kings of the vassal kingdoms. Otherwise, once the one-month period was due, they would dispatch their army along with the five kingdoms to attack.

The rest of the vassal kingdoms didn’t release any more announcement as they were gradually shifting their army provisions and had signs of the assembly of the military forces. Especially the Saint Spirit Kingdom which already mustered their army on the borders.

The Saint Spirit Kingdom suffered a huge loss during this demonic beast insurrection, too. Now that they found the mastermind, they naturally wouldn’t leave the matter at that.

The Great Xia Kingdom was in a state of chaos as many of the smaller clans began to migrate and desert the kingdom. They knew that once the war began, they wouldn’t be able to escape anymore. The great aristocratic clans began to silently shift their descendants as well. There was no way out of this predicament, and once the one-month period was up, the armies would march into the kingdom’s borders. With the Great Xia Kingdom’s current military strength, they would be easily extinguished by one of the kingdoms—let alone the combined forces of six armies.

“Go, everyone, must go!”

The atmosphere within Summer Rain City’s royal palace was very oppressive. Su Diwang had gathered all the Su clansmen and elders and were preparing for their escape route. The elders didn’t want to leave as the Su Clan had governed the Great Xia Kingdom for ten thousand years, and this land had the glory of Su Clan; they would rather die in this place.

Finally, Su Diwang ordered for all the princes, princesses, and the elite descendants of the Su Clan to leave. He and a group of elders from the royal clan were prepared to perish along with the Great Xia Kingdom.

Su Diwang’s character was weak and soft, but when forced to the edge of the cliff, he revealed an unyielding character that was what a King should have. He knew that there was nothing to explain, and he was destined to become the sinner of Su Clan. He didn’t want to escape and wanted to use death to apologize for his sins.

On the eighth midnight, there were nearly a thousand individuals gathered in the royal palace. Among them were Great Xia Kingdom’s twelve princes, six princesses, and the elite descendants of the Su Clan. They would be led by ten peak-stage Soul Travel Realm experts and escape from here.

The Great Xia Kingdom could be extinguished, but the Su Clan could never be eradicated. After these elites hid themselves, recuperated, and slowly regained their strength, there was a possibility that they might make a return on the continent.

Why mention the return to the continent?

The continent didn’t have a place where the Su Clan could reside. They had to go towards the southeast, venture out of the sea, and find an island to hide in. If they were on the continent, the Su Clan’s descendants would be searched and killed, one by one.

“Everyone, listen up! Today is the day that our Su Clan has suffered the worst humiliation! I, Su Diwang, am the sinner of the Su Clan. I hope you will engrave this day into your memory and remember our humiliation. Be strongly determined to succeed, and if one day, you can expand and strengthen the Su Clan to return to the continent—I, Su Diwang, shall be able to rest in peace up in the heavens. Everyone, depart. Activate the teleportation array.”

Su Diwang shut his eyes painfully and waved his hand while the teleportation array quickly lit up.

This teleportation array was secretly built and could only be used for once. It could teleport all these people towards the sea on the southeastern side. There were a few large ships that could bring the Su Clan’s descendants to a secured giant island. The Su Clans descendants would be able to hide there and struggle whilst at death’s door.

“King Father!”

“My King!”

Many of the princes, princesses, and imperial concubines all screamed involuntarily while their eyes were filled with tears and despair. They knew that this departure was forever.

“Swish!”

Once the teleportation array activated—when everyone was being teleported, a white graceful figure flew out from the teleportation array. Just as Su Diwang and the others realized it, the teleportation array’s light surged towards the sky; and the altar below the teleportation array quickly broke apart and was completely destroyed.

Su Diwang was instantly furious as he reprimanded, “Ruoxue, what are you doing?! Do you want to be buried together with King Father?”

Su Ruoxue let out a faint smile which was sad and beautiful. She nodded her head and replied, “It is too lonely for King Father to leave by himself. Ruoxue shall accompany you so that someone can serve you in the Yellow Springs 1 ...”
