A few months later, there were two people in the garden. They were Alex and Rilt.

Alex punched Rilt on the face but was blocked by Rilt's palm.

However, the energy his fist carried burst out as if it continued the flow of the momentum. It blasted a huge area behind Rilt, obviously devastating any living beings behind. Luckily, there were only grasses and trees, or it would have become a bit more serious.

"How was that one?" Alex asked.

"That is not enough. The flow is smooth, but there is still a restriction in the direction. The way you use it is also a bit rough. You need to let it flow like water." Rilt explained.

They had been training to use this technique, but as expected, it was tough. Even Alex, who usually finished his training within a few months, couldn't complete this training.

There was one big thing Alex understood during this training. He noticed why the Spirit God could become one of the God King. It was due to this Spirit Crown.

The past him must have done something to allow him, an element user, to wield this technique. After all, the requirement of this technique was to have no element.

And Rilt told him not to teach this technique to anyone else because there was a possibility of them using it. The universe was vast and not everyone actually had an element in their body. They were born according to their world's power system.

Rilt knew that there were many planets where they didn't have an element and had fulfilled the requirement of this technique. If there were two people using this technique, Alex's position would shake. Even the Spirits didn't know who to trust anymore.

Alex promised him that he would be the only one to know this technique. As for his daughters and sons in the future, he would think it at that time.

After getting satisfied with Alex's response, he continued teaching him all he knew about the Spirit Crown.

The training was harsh, but Alex's training was worse, so Alex completed the daily training every single day.

Their relationship kept growing like that of a father and a son. Alex told him the story about his journey until he reached this place. And Rilt explained how he met the previous him and watched how he grew up.

Although Alex didn't have the intention to become his previous self, he needed to know what he had done and his past tale.

He learned his past self had fought far harder than he had. Unlike him, the past him didn't have the system to support him and got mocked because he had no element.

Yet, he could keep growing and become kinder than anyone else.

He even made Rilt believe that when you were at the lowest point, you would know how it felt to be hurt. The way the people looked at you would be different, and you would know who were your enemies and friends.

When you knew all of that, you would become stronger and kinder than anyone else.

After the training, Rilt thought and asked, "How about we rest now? We will continue tomorrow."

"Sure." Alex nodded and laid down on the floor without minding his manner.

"Oi, you shouldn't sleep on the floor."

"But cultivator won't get a normal cold…" Alex nonchalantly said.

"It's your manner!" Rilt smacked his forehead.

"I know, I know." Alex waved his hand and kept lying down.

Rilt shook his head helplessly as if watching his son.

"Are you going to become those arrogant people? I think it's possible if you keep behaving like this."

Alex froze before falling into deep thought. He remembered what happened in the past and couldn't help but ask. "I wonder why they are arrogant… No, I think I understand it, but I just can't explain it."

Rilt glanced at his serene expression and decided to take a breather as well while lying down like him, watching the blue sky.

"Let me give you a bit of my wisdom, Young Man. I will tell you a story about a kid. This kid was born into a wealthy and powerful family. However, it also came with a price. As long as he remembered, his father never paid attention to him because he needed to manage the entire family while his mother had gone forever after giving birth to him.

"The kid only had one caretaker while the other servants were settling his room and other things. In other words, this kid only had himself as the support.

"Although he learned common sense and some knowledge from his tutors, none of them could understand him and kept acting all humble in front of him. They didn't dare to rebuke him or anything, making the kid think he had so much power.

"It affected his state of mind, and he grew according to what he thought for himself. He learned about his successor from his tutor, or you can say his kid. Since no one dared to oppose him, he went to a brothel and did it with the women there.

"Drunk in pleasure, the kid kept coming and eventually fell into the temptation of lust. When he saw a beautiful woman in the street, he grabbed her and did all the deeds. However, this kid didn't get any retribution, and no one dared to oppose him because of his family background. He slowly became cold and uncaring because he could do anything, especially with his father didn't meet him and only took care of his problems.

"When it continued for years, decades, or even centuries, they slowly became beyond redemption. Their ego had grown so much until he couldn't be saved anymore.

"Suddenly, someone came to his life and beat him to the ground. What do you think the kid will do?" Rilt asked.

Alex thought for a moment and said, "Revenge. I mean, he already has everything. No one SHOULD dare to oppose him. No matter what race you are, I believe that we consciously or subconsciously feared the unknown. Even I fear it. That's why the kid will surely remove this unknown variable."

"Correct. He wanted to maintain the status quo and attacked the one who destroyed that status quo. Unfortunately, he failed and kept failing every time he did it."

"He would continue until he died." Alex closed his eyes with a complicated expression. "I see. That's how an arrogant young master was born. There might be some variables in the story, but if the main variables are there…"

"I am not talking that the arrogant young master is bad. What I want to say is that his father is the real culprit."

Alex suddenly stretched his hand as if trying to reach the sky. Suddenly, he thought something and let out a long sigh. "I see. So that's why…"

"Hmm?"

"The reason why the past me didn't take up the ruler position and let Korzan deal with the rest." Alex made a sad smile. "It's not that he had no capability as a ruler. It was to his kids. He didn't want to be someone who always thought about Eulja and such.

"No, it was because he thought his family first that he decided to arrange it this way. The most fragile family is the one at the top. He wanted to have a family that can be decisive but also kinder than anyone. Unfortunately, before that happened, the predicament came."

Rilt clenched his teeth. "Yes. I am not saying that this thinking is true either. Let me tell you the second story. This kid was born with the same condition as the kid. However, before his experience accumulated, he experienced a setback, turning the respect he always received into hate.

"That kid knew whether they were genuine or not. He then looked at the world from a different point of view, understanding what an effort was.

"In this situation, the kid had two possible options. The first was he hated the world, the people, and even his family to the bone for not showing respect to him or whatsoever. He loathed them with every single cell in his body.

"When he became someone in power, he massacred all of them. All emotions felt cold and he closed his heart because he believed that the people around him only wanted his power. He thought only for himself, and nothing else mattered.

"However, the second possibility…The kid understood what it meant to have someone dear to him. He met someone that would stand behind him and kept supporting him no matter what happened. During that time, he learned what it meant to trust the people you loved.

"Thus, the kid became stronger and kinder than anyone else. He knew what it felt to be in the bottom and at the top. And I am glad that you are the latter."

Alex couldn't help but smile. "That's something I owed to my Teacher. He might be someone so passive that he even let others bully me, but he knew that every setback I experienced would change me in one way or another.

"He kept watching me all this time and only moved when life mattered. He believed in me and saw something in me that I didn't know before. When I realized all of that, I wished I could say thank you to him for being my teacher as well as my parent."

Alex's eyes were watery, recalling the memory of his teacher. He remembered that every time he had trouble. There was always one question he asked.

"Are you alright?"

That was the best question in his mind until today.

Rilt smiled and closed his eyes. "He must be a great figure. Not everyone strong is great, and not everyone weak is powerless. The strongest person can even create waste, while the weakest person might be able to create the strongest figure.

"Your capability and goal are not set in stone. That's why if you think what you are doing is right, never give up."

Alex smiled. "Yes. Thank you, Father."

"There is also another meaning behind my story—"

"I know. It's the way how to manage your family. Although I can't create the concept, I think I have grasped something with your story. My way of managing my family might not be the same as my past self, but I believe that what I will create is the best for my family and me. Of course, we can't leave the wives out of the picture."

Rilt smiled and said, "After all, Family is…"

"…A meeting between a man and a woman. Two becomes one and acts like one." Alex smiled while continuing his sentence.

"That's good then. I will be watching you. If you have a problem, just come to me. I will do my best to help." Rilt smiled.

"Thanks, Father." Alex nodded.

Suddenly, Anna and Vina came into their vision, looking down on them from above. However, the two blurted something out of reflex.

"White."

"Black."

Anna and Vina stepped on their face as Vina complained. "What the heck are you teaching to my son-in-law? As expected, you are the virus of the family. And why are you two lying on the floor? Where is your manner?"

"My wife, I am teaching my son-in-law to be a cultured man," Rilt answered with a smile. "Besides, look at Anna, why is she stepping on my son-in-law's face like you?"

But it only invited Vina's rage as she poured more strength until Rilt's head buried in the ground. "I am teaching her to make sure that he won't take advantage of my cute daughter. Seriously…We can't have a second Anya…"

Anna glanced at her, sighed, and decided to retract her foot. She slowly bent down and put Alex's head on her lap. She said with a smile. "This is better."

Alex couldn't help but smile back.

"Wife…How about you act like Anna for once?" Rilt was jealous of that different treatment and asked.

However, Vina only poured more strength while saying, "That is when you have become a proper spirit."
