Chapter 913 - Two Elders

Alex and Aria then entered the city.

The city wasn't really that big, even though it was a city that was on the bottom of the Unsurpassed Blade Sect.

Behind the giant gate they discussed earlier, they saw two elders confirming every single disciple that enrolled this year. However, there was a line where only those who got recommendation letters could come. And it was occupied only by a single person.

Considering the timing of the enrollment, it showed why only a few people got this technique.

Still, the man who was currently discussing his entry with the elders in charge was a young man with long blue hair. He had this gentle expression that one would feel he was a gentle person when they met him. However, there was this expression that the elders could see behind her smile.

Even so, they finished his process as if they didn't notice it and asked him to come inside the sect and waited there.

The young man politely clasped his hands and bowed.

Alex furrowed his eyebrows immediately as he sensed killing intent leaked out of Aria's eyes.

"Is that guy the second young master? What is his name again?"

"Gasha, Gasha Grayfig."

"As expected, he is hiding his cultivation this whole time." Alex nodded. "He is a 2-Star Martial Saint."

"2-Star…" She gritted her teeth. "When I am strong enough, I will kill him."

"Your choice." He shrugged.

"Thank you. At least, this confirms that I need to be extra careful in dealing with him."

"Yeah. Just make sure you do it fast." Alex nodded.

She nodded. "Anyway, we will need to pass that gate first and ask the female beside the gate to issue the card to show our age. After that, I will give them a recommendation letter to the elders. Hopefully, the elders are nice, not the ones who are full of themselves because they have authority."

"I agree. It's easier to see an elder that is easy going. They are easier to approach after all." Alex nodded.

"With your strength, you must have a disciple, right? And from the way you taught me, I felt that you have grown accustomed to teaching someone. I am envious of your disciple. After all, I might be able to improve further if I have more time." She smiled.

"Overpraised." Alex shook his head and replied humbly. "I only have one disciple. Well, I am also a kind of mentor to another one, but yeah, I think that's all."

"Still, it's fun to practice sword with you. I mean, you are easy going and easy to approach, so I have never felt like holding anything back when asking a question to you. Of course, the training part was certainly hellish." She smiled.

"Now, now. You want nostalgia here?" Alex glanced at her with a smile.

"Ahaha, I apologize." She smiled and stretched her hand to the front. "Let's go."

"Yeah."

Alex and Aria then walked toward the gate while looking at many disciples coming to this sect. Considering it had been opened for many people, there should be at least a few thousand that wanted to join this sect. And only one to two hundred would be accepted. It was a cruel competition.

A few minutes later, they arrived in front of the giant gate.

Aria approached a young lady beside the gate while clasping her hands politely.

"Excuse me."

"Yes. Do you need anything? If you are going to participate in the disciple selection, you can start lining up. But if you have a recommendation letter from an elder, you can pass it to me, and I will help you process it." She smiled.

Alex narrowed his eyes when he saw this blonde hair girl talking like this. Her strength was equal to him, Rank 9 God, but he didn't know there was a type of God like this.

Not only was she a beauty, but she also seemed to wear an illusion type array that covered her face.

'Undercover?' Alex thought. 'Still, I have never expected that there will be a Rank 9 God to help new disciples… I wonder if she is a special case or something?'

"I am Aria Cypress, and I have a letter of recommendation here." She smiled. "Well, I would like to ask for help a little bit. Because of certain circumstances, I would like to bring someone with me. And I can assure you that he is even more talented than me."

"Oh?! The elder recommendation is something only one person can use, but if he is like what you are saying, I think I can inform the elder whether to give special permission or not." She read the letter before nodding her head.

"I understand." She nodded. "What should we do?"

The female then glanced at Alex before she opened her mouth in surprise. His 1-Star Martial Saint strength indeed shocked her, but there was this strange feeling in her heart, telling her that the man in front of her was dangerous. At the same time, she felt the observing gaze of this man that seemed to have seen through her disguise.

This was the first time she saw someone like him, so she thought for a moment and nodded.

"First of all, I would like you to touch the pillar." She smiled.

Aria nodded and placed her hand on the pillar as around the touched area shone as soon as the lady placed the paper on the pillar before reading it.

"Hmm… Aria Cypress, 61 years old, 9-Star Martial Monarch. From the aura alone, you must have broken through not long ago. You might even reach Martial Saint before seventy years old. I am looking forward to your growth." She nodded before glancing at Alex. "Can you place your hand too?"

"Before that, I would like to request you to keep this a secret. At least, can you not make a ruckus here?"

"Oh?! You are a 1-Star Martial Saint, but I indeed feel that you are not your average man…" She thought for a moment. "Alright. I promise you."

Alex then placed his hand on the pillar.

She then placed another paper on the ground and read it. She drew a gasp and wanted to shout, but her hand immediately covered her mouth like how she promised.

She glanced back and forth as her hands were shaking. "Now, I understand why you asked me such a thing earlier. Alright. Since that is the case, I will give you permission to enter through the special way. Let me inform the elders first, alright?"

Aria and Alex nodded at the same time.

'By the way, what is your true age?'

Alex read the paper earlier and sighed. 'It's 47 years old.'

'You are a freak. 47 years old God Rank Expert, I don't think I have heard anyone come close to your achievement.' She glared at him.

Alex shrugged. The same with the fact that the earlier female didn't know Alex's true strength, Aria also didn't know that Alex spent the last decade training all of his ability, showing little progress in his cultivation. If she knew that Alex could reach Rank 8 God, if not Rank 7, what would she do?

Not long after that, the female returned and guided them to the elders.

"This is Elder Gian and Elder Illevis. They are the ones in charge here." She smiled, introducing two elders, one male and one female.

"Greetings, Elders." They both clasped their hands politely.

"It's fine, it's fine. I was surprised earlier to hear something crazy, but I see…" The female elder nodded. "Welcome to the sect. Elder Gian…"

"Sure." He nodded. "This is your token."

There was only one token that was handed to Aria. However, this meant Alex was left with empty hands. Considering the fact that the female earlier only told the woman before him, only the woman knew about his true worth.

"Elder Gian. We, Elders, have the special privilege to make one disciple enter with a special rule in exchange they will enter our peak, right?" She smirked.

"Yes… Wait. Do you mean?" He widened his eyes and glanced at Alex. Although he knew that Alex was a Martial Saint, he didn't know his exact age. It was true that a Martial Saint under a hundred years was something, but it certainly wouldn't be too surprising.

And he also kept track with the one she fancied on, Aria Cypress. Her talent was indeed one of a kind, so she must be doing this to satisfy the girl and thought nothing of Alex.

He ultimately shrugged. "I don't care anymore. Your choice."

"Hehe…" The female elder grinned as she handed the token to Alex. "Welcome to the sect. After this, you can go in by following the route on our right."

Alex and Aria nodded as they clasped their hands, ready to walk away.

"Wait! Although I have confirmed your identity, I still need to see your real appearance, so I can recognize you. At the very least, I will recognize one of you, the rumored Lightning Sword Princess, Aria Cypress." He stopped them from going any further. There was still this one procedure where he needed to check their identity.

"Actually, the recommendation letter is from me." The female elder beside him smiled while raising her hand. "So, I think he wants to confirm whether you are her, right? At the very least, with you covering the back of your head, only Elder Gian and I can see your face."

"Not I want, but we NEED!" He corrected her while she stuck out her tongue.

"Oh, you have such a title?" Alex glanced at her curiously.

"Ahaha, I can't be proud of my title." She smiled weirdly before nodding to the elders. "I apologize for my rudeness. There were several reasons why I needed to do this."

She put down the mask, revealing her face and her greyish blind eyes. She smiled while trying to look by following the direction of the sound coming from the elders to face them. "Is this fine, right?"

"…" Elder Gian sucked a cold breath. Although he had prepared for it, it was truly breathtaking when he saw her. He never expected a blind girl to have such prowess that could be said higher than her peers. No wonder she could succeed twice in the Sword Pavilion.

"I am sorry for asking you, but yeah, I have confirmed that you are the one that caught my attention in the past. Congratulations on coming here. When you have become an Inner Disciple, please come to my peak, alright?" She smiled.

"…"

"Is it hard to accept even though I was the one giving you the recommendation letter?" Elder Illevis asked.

"I am grateful for Elder's gracefulness, but I need to apologize. I would like to ask a question first before deciding."

"Sure."

She put on the mask again before asking. "May I know what Elder's peak is? And I would like to know whether…"

"I can accept male disciples in my peak, right? My Peak is Sword Blossom Peak. Although it emphasizes the beauty of the sword, I still have many male disciples, so you don't need to worry." She waved her hand as if she already knew what Aria wanted to know.

In fact, he really wanted to see whether the man beside her was capable or not. Still, considering he was younger than her and had higher cultivation, it would be her benefit to receive the two in her peak. However, the same as Aria, she asked Alex, "I am sorry, but I would like to know the face of this gentleman here? I am wondering why both of you wear a mask together… Are you a couple?"

"Nope." The two answered at the same time with a flat tone. Although Aria often joked about it, she was never serious, especially after knowing Alex's wives.

Alex thought for a moment and nodded. "It's nothing big, but I would like to keep this a secret."

"It depends."

Alex nodded and finally put down his mask, showing a huge burn mark that covered his right face, around the right eye. It made him look horrific.

*Gasp!*

They instantly realized why he wore that kind of mask, and the female elder immediately let out a long sigh. "I apologize. Although this is a rule, seeing you two, I should give you something. Well, I will give you something as soon as you arrive at my peak since I don't really bring anything with me right now."
