After following Jiang Ming for another 10 minutes or so, the group started doubting his ability until he found the path at long last.

"Phew, this damn exit path is really exhausting. Whoever created this place must have a lot of free time in his hand." Jiang Ming cussed.

Although none of them actually voiced their doubts, he could still feel the doubtful stare that they gave him. Luckily, he was able to find the exit in time, otherwise, he would have been making a fool out of himself after acting cool.

"Finally, we can leave this forsaken place." Chen Yanmu said. Her face revealed a flash of a smile as she could not wait to see the outside world again.

"This is all thanks to Jiang Ming's effort. Our sect will definitely remember this gratitude." Unlike Chen Yanmu, Elder Feiling thanked Jiang Ming instead for his effort.

Staying beside him for these few hours had already shown how capable he was, so Elder Feiling would naturally not dare to underestimate Jiang Ming.

Earning his favor and building a good reputation now was the main focus.

As for the previous grievances, that was merely a misunderstanding and should be forgotten.

'I must thank Yuan Chunhua afterward,' Elder Feiling thought, showing a grateful smile at Yuan Chunhua. If it weren't for her, then she might have done something irresistible.

A talent like Jiang Ming could only be seen once in a hundred years, and offending such talent was equivalent to asking for their clan or sect annihilation.

While all these thoughts are going around the head of Elder Feiling, Jiang Ming had already activated the mechanism.

Soon, a gush of powerful wind appeared and their bodies started dissipating into the thin air. The next second though, they found themselves landing in the original spot that they were in at the Haze Forest.

"Ahh, a breath of fresh air finally." Jiang Ming exclaimed loudly as he stared at the clear blue skies. Birds were flying in the sky and vast trees surrounded them.

It was an environment filled with life compared to the previous area they were stuck in.

After stretching for a while, Jiang Ming turned his attention to Yuan Chunhua. "Welp, I'm exhausted now, so I'll leave ahead. As for those two, you can chat with them alone since it's you who want to forge a close relationship."

Before Yuan Chunhua could even respond, Jiang Ming activated his movement technique and started leaving.

"Jiang Ming wait!" Yuan Chunhua called out. Except that it was futile since she soon saw his silhouette disappearing. Shaking her head, she was helpless at the behavior of Jiang Ming.

'Why does he have to change so much in such a short amount of time? I can never get enough of his disappearing and nonchalant attitude.' Yuan Chunhua cursed inwardly.

"I'm sorry about his attitude, Elder Feiling." She turned around and apologized on his behalf.

"How about we continue our discussion in the academy?"

"Sure"

Sometime later, Yuan Chunhua guided Elder Feiling and Chen Yanmu to her office in the academy. At the same time, she had notified the principal, who in turn notified Zhao Tong.

After all, it was an elder coming from a powerful sect. And even if it's not enough to threaten the safety of his citizens, Zhao Tong still needed to show proper etiquette to such an influential person.

As the saying goes, one less enemy means one more ally. Who wouldn't be able to weigh the pros and cons in this type of situation?

Thus the office that usually seemed quite big was now cramped to the max. There were Yuan Chunhua and four more people in the office that was meant for two or three occupants.

Sitting on one couch was principal Lin Jingyun alongside Zhao Tong whereas on the opposite sat Elder Feiling and Chen Yanmu.

"It's my negligence for forgetting to greet the emperor. I hope you can forgive me for this late greeting," Elder Feiling cupped her fist and apologized kindly.

"Haha, you're being too polite, Elder Feiling. The Tian Shuai Sect is a powerful force in the Northern Continent and it's only right that you might be occupied by some important task." Zhao Tong shook his head and replied cleverly.

Although there was a possibility that the two were going to go to war at each other's throats previously, now they could be considered on the same boat.

And it was all thanks to a variable factor, Jiang Ming.

With Jiang Ming's capability as an alchemist that could produce flawless pills, the Tian Shuai Sect no longer dared to act arrogantly and needed to thread their steps carefully.

After all, there are still other powerful sects within the Northern Continent, and it would only be their loss if they were to offend Jiang Ming for a mere profit.

"Anyway… about the deal…" Elder Feiling paused and turned her head toward Yuan Chunhua, her meaning being extremely clear.

Yuan Chunhua smiled and nodded her head. "Rest assured, Elder Feiling, we are not going to renege on our deal."

She then retrieved a pill container from her spatial ring and placed it on the table. "Here's a sample of the flawless pill, Elder Feiling."

Elder Feiling didn't bother talking and directly grabbed the pill container. Opening the lid, a pill fragrance started leaking out and Elder Feiling almost became intoxicated from the smell alone.

"Such purity and fragrance." Her eyes seemed to be sparkling as she took the flawless pill out and began admiring it.

"Yes, this is a flawless pill. Not even our sect alchemists are capable of refining a flawless pill. The best they could do is perhaps 91% or even 93% if they gave it their all."

At first, she was still a bit doubtful of the possibility of them having flawless pills, but now the fact had been proven. She was holding one physically and nothing is more evident than seeing it themselves.

With a solemn expression, Elder Feiling quickly turned her attention to Zhao Tong.

"Emperor Zhao Tong, how would you like it if we form an alliance? Our Tian Shuai Sect promised to assist you if there are any troubles."
