Global Game: AFK In The Zombie Apocalypse Game
Chapter 2477: Brave and Vicious
The Overseer’s responsibility was merely to maintain the operation of the White Abyss Arena; they didn’t interfere beyond that.
Yet, Fang Heng’s demeanor was so amiable that it left the Overseer with no grounds to act.
To be honest, the Overseer also felt a bit uneasy. Blocking that strike had required all his effort, and even then, it had been extremely difficult.
“Since it’s a spar, try not to cause fatal injuries. Otherwise, it will be difficult for me to handle,” the Overseer said.
“I’m very sorry,” Fang Heng replied, showing respect to the Overseer.
Games are just games, and many things in the Tower of the White Abyss were limited by the rules. With rules, there were always loopholes to exploit.
Seeing that the Overseer was no longer speaking, Fang Heng turned his attention back to Diorio.
Under Fang Heng’s gaze, Diorio felt a shiver run down his spine and quickly declared, “I concede! I concede right now!”
It was no joke!Given the recent attack, could anyone in Floor 61 confidently claim they would have dodged it?
Not conceding now would be equivalent to seeking death.
“Good choice,” Fang Heng said, nodding lightly. He then turned to Zheng Zheyu, who was still standing in shock, and frowned slightly with mild displeasure. “Zheng Zheyu, what are you still doing? Hurry up and take care of it!”
Huh?
Go?
Go where?
Zheng Zheyu was truly bewildered, looking at Fang Heng with a great deal of confusion in his eyes.
What was he supposed to do?
Fang Heng, feeling exasperated by his lack of intelligence, shook his head and clarified, “What’s the matter? Is the protection fee not enough? Haven’t you learned your lesson?”
Zheng Zheyu’s heart skipped a beat as he realized what Fang Heng was implying.
Good heavens!
Not only had they collected protection fees on Floor 62, but now Fang Heng had come to Floor 61 to collect as well?
Mr. Fang was truly pioneering a new approach to the White Abyss Arena, extending the protection fee collection across floors.
Zheng Zheyu couldn’t help but marvel internally.
Mr. Fang was truly formidable.
Instead of learning the good, he had picked up the bad and mastered it to perfection. He was truly a shining example of “the student surpassing the master”!
Fang Heng thought Zheng Zheyu was dragging his feet over collecting the protection fee, growing increasingly displeased. He coldly said, “What’s the hold-up? Are you planning to cover this for him?”
“Yes, yes, I’m on it…”
Zheng Zheyu hurried over to Diorio.
Diorio accepted his fate, cursing his bad luck. He was resigned to paying for his mistake. If he had only seen how strong this guy was, he might have acted differently. Now, he was just buying his life.
Diorio grit his teeth, handing over his Tower of the White Abyss invitation card to Zheng Zheyu, while silently vowing that if he ever gained power, he would seek a thousandfold revenge.
Zheng Zheyu swiped the card and sent a confirmation message to Diorio. When Diorio saw the amount deducted, his face turned dark.
He had saved up nearly 200,000 points for a powerful item. Now, it was all gone. That was his savings from more than half a year!
Diorio gritted his teeth, “All of it? Not a single point left? Isn’t that a bit excessive?”
Fang Heng looked at Diorio and replied coldly, “Excessive?”
Diorio fell silent, his face turning a deep shade of crimson. He had no choice but to admit defeat.
Zheng Zheyu, having completed the transaction, returned to Fang Heng’s side and whispered, “Mr. Fang, it’s all sorted.”
Sorted my foot!
Fang Heng felt an urge to roll his eyes. How could this little brother’s vision be so narrow?
Patiently, Fang Heng said, “What about the others? Are you going to cover their fees too?”
The atmosphere shifted dramatically, with everyone’s expressions turning to anger.
Seriously?
Not just him, but everyone was being charged!?
What had started as a spectator sport for many quickly became a personal crisis. Everyone’s frustration reached its peak as they scowled menacingly.
Only Diorio felt somewhat relieved.
Better they all suffer together than just him.
“Here’s what you get! I’m your grandpa! Let’s all team up and take him down!”
As he spoke, one of the bystanders leapt forward, charging straight at Fang Heng.
Fang Heng had been waiting for someone to make a move.
Most people didn’t even catch Fang Heng’s movements.
“Bang!!!”
Fang Heng instantly disappeared from where he was.
There was a resounding “bang” as the attacker was hurled backward at an even greater speed, crashing into the rear wall and creating a visible dent.
The sheer swiftness and ferocity of the move caused a ripple of alarm among the others preparing to act. They had expected that Balke could at least delay Fang Heng for a few seconds. To their shock, he had been eliminated in an instant?
“Hmph!”
Fang Heng reappeared with a cold snort. He clasped his hands in front of him, and a dark, ethereal Book of Imprisonment materialized.
With a flick of his wrist, dozens of ethereal soul chains burst forth from the book, lashing out in all directions. The chains swept through the hall, flinging several of the restless Floor 61 combatants away with tremendous force.
Within moments, the hall was filled with an ominous aura of death. Five individuals had been struck and were now heavily injured, marked with dark, deathly imprints.
After witnessing Fang Heng’s overwhelming power in two successive displays, everyone quickly realized his strength was beyond anything they could handle. The remaining people were silently grateful they hadn’t acted rashly.
It was clear now: fighting him was not an option.
“Fang Bai!”
The Overseer directed a warning gaze at Fang Heng.
“Sorry, sorry. As you can see, they were the ones who attacked first,” Fang Heng said, raising his hand in feigned innocence. He then turned to Zheng Zheyu and urged, “Hurry up and continue collecting the protection fees.”
“Right, right.” Zheng Zheyu, although taken aback by Fang Heng’s audacity, nervously gulped and began collecting the fees from each person.
“Make sure to keep a record. If someone’s missing, you’ll be responsible for covering it,” Fang Heng added with a smirk.
The crowd regarded Fang Heng with a mix of fear and resentment, as though he were a greedy demon.
Zheng Zheyu, after collecting all the protection fees from the crowd and returning the invitation cards to Fang Heng, confirmed the total balance.
177,000 points.
It seemed that Floor 61 was indeed more affluent than their Floor 62.
Satisfied with the amount, Fang Heng glanced at the invitation card and nodded to himself, “Remember what I said: if you encounter me in the arena, surrender early.”
He waved dismissively and turned to leave.
“He’s gone.”
The Overseer of Floor 61 watched Fang Heng’s departing figure and shook his head silently.
Fang Heng’s strength was indeed impressive, but his reckless behavior and the number of enemies he made suggested he wouldn’t last long. It was only a matter of time before someone from higher up would come down to deal with him.
However…
The Overseer suddenly realized the situation might not be so simple. With Fang Heng’s strength, could the upper management even handle him?
He shrugged off the concern. As long as this troublemaker was gone, his mission was considered complete.
