Chapter 2147: Untitled

Master Chu’s pupils contracted a little. The “crown prince” was saying that…

“I’ll examine it again.”

He flipped Lord Wu’s dead body over and looked closely at the spot that Feng Wu had mentioned. Seeing this, Jun Linshen’s hands started to shake.

“There’s a tiny needle mark.” Master Chu reached the conclusion after examining the dead body more closely.

“So what? What does that prove?” Jun Linshen tried to remain calm.

Feng Wu smirked. “We’ll see what it can prove once the dead body is dissected.”

Master Chu asked for Emperor Wu’s permission.

Normally, people wouldn’t agree to have the body of their family member cut up, but Mrs. Wu had been taken away already…

Feng Wu said, “All men of the Dongsang Kingdom are marked on the bone. If I’m guessing correctly, so is Lord Wu.”

Marked on the bone? Where did that come from? No one had heard of it before.

Emperor Wu looked at Feng Wu.

Feng Wu nodded and said, “They write ‘Soul of Dongsang’ on their bones along with a number.”

Emperor Wu asked, “Why do you know that?”

Feng Wu said, “I extracted that information from the interrogation earlier, but I hadn’t verified it yet.”

Emperor Wu glanced at Feng Wu and wondered how much information “his son” had kept from him.

He then turned to Master Chu and said, “Dissect him.”

Knowing how serious this was, Master Chu started immediately.

Seeing that Master Chu was aiming at Lord Wu’s rib, Feng Wu added, “The mark can be anywhere. It doesn’t necessarily have to be on the rib.”

Master Chu stared at Feng Wu.

Feng Wu smiled and said, “That way, it won’t be exposed so easily.”

Feng Wu was telling him that he should uncover Lord Wu’s cause of death first. The mark could wait.

Master Chu took the hint, so he cut up Lord Wu’s leg first.

Soon, blood was extracted, and it had a trace of green.

“What’s that?”

Emperor Wu didn’t know what that meant.

By then, Master Chu was covered with sweat.

He had been so sure a moment ago that Lord Wu had been frightened to death. But now, the evidence suggested otherwise.

“It’s Thousand Silk!” Master Chu’s face darkened.

Emperor Wu was perplexed. “What’s that?”

Master Chu heaved a sigh. “It’s a potent liquid poison that can excite a person exceedingly in a short period of time. It can easily kill someone with a weak heart.”

Hearing that, everyone looked at Lord Wu.

Wasn’t that what had killed Lord Wu, a weak heart?

That was exactly as Master Chu had described.

Master Chu smiled bitterly and said, “The poison dissolves in the blood. I wouldn’t have noticed without dissecting the body. The murderer is really good. The poison was injected with a tiny needle and the needle was removed afterward.

“Normally, I wouldn’t check the groin for a needle mark. Moreover, just like what His Royal Highness said, the skin there is darker, which makes it harder to spot any mark. I would have missed it, had it not been for His Royal Highness’s reminder.”

Everyone looked at Jun Linshen now.

Jun Linshen was frustrated. “Why are you looking at me? Even if you can prove that Lord Wu was killed with Thousand Silk, how does that have anything to do with me?!”
