Arlan was already in the villa and he immediately told Winter to delete all traces of their activities in Malabon. This was to prevent Zenny from gathering evidence about them. He didn't know if that woman would be willing to become his friend or if she would be stubborn enough to make an enemy of him.
"How is the Virtual World system?" Arlan asked as he sat beside Winter.
"I've already made the system. I'm only improving it now. I should be done with this tomorrow. I've also asked seven manufacturing companies to build the parts of the capsule for me. I did this to save myself some time in making the capsule. All I have to do is assemble the parts and install the system." Winter said without looking at him.
Hearing this, Arlan was pleased. "Good job."
"You can leave." Winter muttered in a cold voice.
Arlan's face twitched upon hearing her words. 'Am I the owner of the house or are you?' He thought in exasperation.
"How about you take a break first? It just so happens that I have a battleship that I haven't checked yet. You should come with me. Staying in this room all day won't do you any good." Arlan claimed an Extinction-Class battleship during their three-day vacation. He didn't have any use for it at the moment, but it was a good opportunity to familiarize himself with this battleship.
Winter stopped what she was doing and stared at him indifferently. "Is that an order?" She asked.
Arlan shrugged his shoulders and replied. "You could say so."
Winter stood up and muttered. "Alright. Give me some time to prepare." She then walked away and stepped out of the room.
Arlan chuckled while looking at her figure. 'This is good too. At least her personality is stopping me from having any indecent thoughts towards her.'
While waiting for Winter, Arlan headed to the living room and scrolled through his social media. His latest post on Instagram was about his recent trip to Paris. There were solo pictures of himself and there were also group photos with Thelma and the others. Though, most of the pictures only had Thelma and him.
His childhood friends and high school classmates were even asking him about his relationship with Thelma.
Arlan didn't respond to their questions. He just scrolled through their comments. He then clicked on the messages and saw a message from one of his childhood friends.
The guy was asking him if he was still working as a construction worker for Bakal Brothers Co. Apparently, he was searching for a job in a city and he wanted Arlan to do the introductions for him.
This person was one of his best buddies and it has been a long time since he last seen him. Arlan responded to his message like this...
-I will pass by our village. I will talk with you in person. Wait for me.
After sending his reply, Arlan turned off his phone.
Soon, Winter was finally done with her preparations. She had a cold shower and she also changed into a set of comfortable clothes. Her choice of clothes was very tomboyish, but this didn't decrease her overall charm. There was also a holster strapped on her right leg, holding a desert eagle pistol.
"Let's go." She muttered in a cold voice.
"You do know that walking around with a gun is illegal, right?" Arlan muttered while looking at her sheepishly.
"I have documents for this gun. You don't have to worry about that." Winter flicked her hair as she passed by him. She then walked towards the door without even waiting for his reply.
"Aiya... this girl is so hard to get along with..." Arlan shook his head in regret.
The Extinction-Class battleship was anchored near a small island in the Pacific. It was quite far from the mainland so they had to go there via helicopter. Winter knew how to drive one so they no longer have to ask for the Elliot siblings to come and drive for them.
"Let's stop by Victoria Laguna. I have some matters to deal with there." Arlan said.
"Alright." Winter nodded her head. She then turned on the controls of the helicopter.
Arlan didn't bring Khalon this time. Winter was an Advanced Artificial Life Form like Khalon and she was also a very skilled soldier. Arlan was also not a simple person himself so he wasn't worried about their safety.
The view from inside the helicopter was a first for Arlan. He was fascinated by the aerial view of Metropolitan Manila.
It didn't take them long to arrive in Victoria Laguna. They landed on a vast field that was part of his family's inherited land. His father planned to build a pigsty here, but they didn't have the opportunity to build it because of their tough circumstances back then.
The appearance of the helicopter stunned the residents of the village and they all made their way to the landing area to see it up close.
Arlan's Uncle who was tending to the nearby plot of land was shocked. "Which bastard dares to land here?" He grabbed his machete and ran towards the landing location of the helicopter. His cousin's family asked him to tend to this land so it was his responsibility to protect it. Although he was a bit scared to offend whoever was the owner of the helicopter, he still made his way to the landing spot.
"Jomar, do you know what's going on? Why did a helicopter land here?"
Jomar, Arlan's Uncle shook his head with his eyebrows furrowed. "I have no idea, but since they dare to trespass on our land, they should be prepared for the consequence!" He snorted as he walked towards the helicopter with a machete in his hand.
Jomar squinted his eyes as he moved closer to the helicopter. Dust and leaves were blown to his face so he had to shield his eyes with his left arm.
As soon as he got a closer look at the people inside the helicopter, he was left speechless when he saw Arlan inside. "Arlan!"
