Chapter 633: Purest Change

A few days later.

Alliance, a random farm.

An old man was dressed in farmer clothing and was farming in the sun. He waved his hoe and each time it landed, it would accurately split the soil.

It was lunch time.

The farmers all packed up and when they passed the old man, they would greet him.

They didn’t know who this old man was. He just returned half a year ago and said that he grew up here. Then, he went to the city. Now that he was old, he returned to his old home and wanted to spend his last years.

Everyone understood it.

He came home.

The old man lifted his head and looked into the distance calmly. His expression was one of worry. His gaze looked like it could see through one’s heart and it didn’t look like a gaze that a normal old man could have.

Suddenly, there was a breeze.

A person appeared behind him and just stood there quietly.

The old man didn’t notice that person and still looked into the distance until that person opened his mouth.

“Wusheng...”

Silence.

There was total silence.

Wusheng’s pupils constricted. The glow in his eyes looked like it could pierce through the lands. His hands shivered and he turned around his body in disbelief.

He knew who it was.

But his heart was still filled with disbelief.

When he saw that face, his voice started to tremble, “Commander, where did you go?”

He didn’t expect that he could see the commander once more.

Even if half a year passed, those scenes were still fresh in his mind like it was yesterday.

“I went to a place that I should go.” Ji said slowly.

Instantly, it became quiet once more.

Wusheng wanted to say something but he didn’t know what to say. He had many things to say and questions to ask but after facing the commander, it felt as if something was stuck in his throat.

He couldn’t say a single word.

Suddenly, Wusheng felt really uneasy and noticed that the aura from commander’s body made him unbearable.

It was a little evil.

He lowered his head and noticed that the crops around started to wither.

“This...” Wusheng was shocked. He raised his head to look at Ji, “Commander, what happened to you?”

What he meant was how did he cause all the crops to wither just by being here.

That was not normal at all.

Commander said, “Wusheng, there are things you don’t know. You don’t understand what I went through these six months and also what happened. I came to ask you, are you willing to fight for Alliance again?”

Wusheng looked at the commander and then at the ground, “Commander, there is no eternal politics. Although Hell Mountain and Ocean Emperor Island has taken over Alliance, the people love their lives and have no worries.”

“If you want to snatch it back, life will be wasted and it would cause a huge commotion.”

“Please reconsider, commander.”

Ji frowned and his expression changed, “Is it because you feel like we have no chances of winning which is why you are afraid?”

“Commander, that is definitely not the reason. It is because of what I said, the people are being well managed by Ocean Emperor Island and Hell Mountain. To them, as long as one is from Alliance, it doesn’t matter who is in charge as long as they live well.” Wusheng said.

He felt a killing intent covering over his body.

His words probably made commander sad but that wasn’t important. He just said what he felt.

After Hell Mountain and Ocean Emperor Island took over, many of the original group were dispirited. They didn’t join in the new regime. Some went home and some remained in the cities.

Moreover, the new regime didn’t send anyone to spy on them and didn’t hunt them down. That was the best treatment for all of them.

“Okay, let’s not talk about this. I have no interest in who is in charge of Alliance. My only goal is to deal with Lin Fan. If he doesn’t die, I won’t be at ease even if I turn into a ghost.”

“I came to ask you, are you willing to take revenge?”

Ji’s hatred toward Lin Fan reached an extreme level.

Either he died or I did.

Even after turning into an evil god, he was still unable to forget what Zhu Daoshen looked like when he died.

Wusheng looked at the commander and didn’t reply right away. He didn’t have those thoughts that he once had anymore.

When Alliance was just destroyed, he wanted to find Lin Fan to take revenge.

He didn’t mind sacrificing his life.

But as time went on, those thoughts slowly disappeared.

“You are not willing?” Ji’s voice was cold and it sent a chill down one’s spine.

Maybe because he didn’t expect him to not be willing to help.

Wusheng said, “Commander, let the things pass. We are not his match anymore. The Alliance is not disturbed by the aliens now because of his help.”

Ji was furious. His gaze was so cold like he was about to freeze someone.

When the evil gods invaded, he was the one to stop it.

For some reason, Ji felt his heart that had already turned dark slowly turning cold.

This was not the Alliance that he knew. The person in front of him wasn’t the commander that he knew either.

“Great, fantastic.”

Ji pointed at Wusheng in anger, “I don’t blame you for others taking over but Lin Fan wiped out Alliance and numerous nine-star generals and civilians died at his hands. As a nine-star general don’t you want to take revenge?”

“Can you answer to your identity?”

Ji really let anger get to his head.

Everything he did was to take revenge.

But he didn’t think or expect that a former nine-star general would actually say that.

“Commander, I know that my actions disappoint you but I am really tired. I just want to defend this land and farm and live life in peace.” Wusheng lowered his head. He knew that his actions were a little too much.

As a former nine star general, he didn’t take revenge on the enemy and just wanted to hide himself. If others heard that, it just wouldn’t have sounded good.

Ji looked at Wusheng.

Wusheng lowered his head like he did something wrong. Even if this person wasn’t the commander, he still respected him.

He knew that the commander had given a lot for Alliance.

But the times were different from before.

This wasn’t the era that they were familiar with.

Pata!

Ji walked to Wusheng and placed his palm on his shoulder, “Okay, I understand. I respect your thoughts, maybe because I had too high hopes on you.”

“Commander.” Wusheng opened his mouth in guilt.

Puchi!

Wusheng opened his eyes wide and grabbed the commander’s shoulder. He lowered his head only to see a tentacle stabbing his heart from the commander’s stomach.

Gululu!

Fresh blood flowed out from his mouth.

“Go, I respect your thoughts but I won’t forgive you. If you want peace, then get peace from the ground.”

Retracted the tentacle slowly.

Relieve appeared on Wusheng’s face. His body fell backward and his voice was really weak, “Commander, forget it...”

Ji looked at Wusheng coldly and scoffed before disappearing.

When he appeared once more, he was in the city.

He had changed his looks and retracted the evil god aura. He walked in the busy district and his mood was one of tranquility.

If there was something he cared about, naturally, it would have been the Alliance.

This was the place that they created. They spent all their hard work and effort on this.

He didn’t allow others to destroy their efforts.

Looking at the smiles of the civilians around, Ji felt much happier.

Suddenly, Ji stopped. His gentle gaze became really sharp. The surrounding temperature dropped. The people around suddenly felt really cold like they were in an ice cave.

“How can this happen?”

In Ji’s field of sight, a statue stood in the center of the city.

If it was a normal statue then forget it.

But when he saw the face of the statue, his brain felt like it was about to explode. He was too familiar with it. He would never forget about it, even if he died he wouldn’t.

“Damn.”

He didn’t expect Lin Fan’s statue to appear here.

Did the people of the Alliance forget who brought the calamity to the Alliance?

If Lin Fan heard Ji’s words he would spit at his face.

Are you so shameless to actually malign someone like that? Your Alliance was the one who found trouble with me and then I attacked you to kill you.

You even used Star Level Energy to blow me up.

Especially Zhu Daoshen who brought the Star Level Energy into the skies above Alliance Headquarters to want to die together with him. He wasn’t the one that caused the explosion, so what did it have to do with him?

Of course, for Ji, he didn’t care about all this. He pushed all the blame to Lin Fan.

Maybe only that would make him feel slightly better.

Ji wasn’t in a good state.

Not only was he disappointed in the former nine-star generals but he was also disappointed in the people. They actually forgot about what happened before. Instead, they placed his statue in the city.

This was an insult to the Alliance.

It was also insulting to those nine star generals who risked their lives for the Alliance.

Ji raised his head and looked.

He noticed that the statue gave off a power that was not friendly towards evil gods. It could effectively prevent the invasion of evil gods.

But the power that the statue gave off didn’t affect Ji much.

Although he was embraced by the abyss and turned into an evil god, in the end, he had transformed from a human.

He was half human half evil god.

“Keke are you afraid of evil gods?”

“You should be. How can you forget about that animosity and place the enemy’s statue in the Alliance? I will make all of you pay the price.”

Ji’s attitude changed.

If he still had care and concern towards Alliance before, it was all gone now.

Hate wrapped about his heart.

“They deserve to die.”

Deep abyss.

Evil God Postline sensed the change right away and smiled.

This was the first time he transformed a human into an evil god.

Although Ji turned into an evil god, but he still kept his human nature, especially his emotions. His heart had a keeper, he still cared about the Alliance.

But now, he realized that Ji’s heart was changing.

This was a good thing.

Hatred and rage filled his heart and he was becoming the purest evil god.
