I Hate Systems

Chapter 1085 Universe Shift: Technocraft Raids The System World

"What…is he doing?" The Fate System stared in confusion, observing the fate of the multiverse converge into twisted strands, merge, and dissipate chaotically.

Thousands of universes were moving, causing absolute mayhem. The multiverse could be considered a cluster of bubbles, with each universe forming a bubble.

There were gaps between the bubbles, and depending on the size of the surrounding universes, the gap may vary. Sometimes, they were very large and sometimes, they were narrow to the extent even a human hair wouldn't be able to pass through.

At present, thousands of bubbles were pressuring the nearby bubbles, wedging themselves through the gaps in an effort to move forward. This resulted in unbridled chaos, as Fate turned disruptive.

The original calm flows were no more, fully disoriented as the fate of every universe became individual. It prevented the Fate System from sensing the changes in the fate of different universes from his spot.

He would have to visit each universe to learn about the happenings there through fate.

This was the true reason Compass Carburettor took such a risk and confronted Mystique. Yes, he didn't wish to destroy any of Mystique's worlds and incur his wrath or unleash some sort of uncontrollable chaos.

But his primary goal was to blind the Fate System's senses.

Moreover, it wasn't as if this change would be completed quickly. No, every single bubble had to slowly move between the gaps, pushing and bouncing off other universes.

It's a process that might take thousands of years to be completed. Moreover, to avoid triggering Mystique in such a sensitive period, the Systems dared not harm his worlds.

They had just begun preparations to face him. They weren't even close to a level enough to confront him yet. Only after gaining a monopoly over the concepts of Fate, Time, and Space did Zaira plan to confront Mystique.

Until then, she didn't wish to trigger him and instead focus on the remaining three Genre Representatives.

The chaos caused the location of many hidden worlds to be revealed, one of which was the System World.

Originally, its location was a secret. The only way to enter it was through the Astral Network. And Zaira kept changing its location after every set of years. This was why none of the Genre Representatives managed to find the System World in the past.

But now, as the framework of the multiverse was affected, the bubbles formed by universes bumped into each other, echoing off the impact.

One such bubble collided into a bubble so vast that its curvature almost seemed flat. It was like a mosquito hitting an elephant.

Of course, due to its size, plenty of mosquitoes collided with the elephant—the System World.

The moment its location was revealed, Technocraft was the first to arrive, carrying two turbines while dressed like a mechanic.

He stared at the universe boundary of the System World and muttered, "So, you were here."

The turbine in his hand whirred into life, turning blue as it generated a beam of plasma that slammed into the universe barrier and morphed the space holding it, soon revealing cracks.

Stop!

The space seemed to be strengthened as a blurry entity phased out of the System World.

Built like a machine, shaped like a dog, bipedal like a human. Six chains trailed off from his back, the locks of each as big as a world, stretching endlessly. The entity solidified and glared at Technocraft, activating a power as the turbines malfunctioned and exploded into smoke and flames.

Grade 3 Core Skill—Ruination (Level 200)!

"I heard about you," Technocraft snorted as he condensed a machine gun and blasted a storm of bullets, "You're the System World's guard dog, Rahakh."

Grade 3 System—Guardian (Level 208)!

"Retreat and I'll spare your life," Rahakh said as he drew in the ambient energy of the surrounding universes, condensed it into a shield, and defended against the storm of bullets.

"A baby Grade 3 System thinks it can best me?" Technocraft laughed as he took out a grenade from his pant and casually chucked it toward Rahakh.

The grenade seemed like a common grenade found in technological worlds, a primate form in fact. It calmly arched through the void, behaving as if gravity was affecting it.

Thump! Thump!

Even though he didn't have a heart, Rahakh felt an impending sense of doom as he hurriedly churned all his power to take a defensive form, activating another power.

Grade 3 Core Skill—Luck (Level 200)!

The grenade flashed right before his face as light leaked out of it, radiating the energy derived from a bunch of minor Concepts, 'What? How can a Genre Representative possess Concepts?'

Boom!

The grenade exploded, creating an energy storm that dented the System World's universe barrier to an alarming extent. The Astral Network fluctuated for an instant from the impact, alarming all the Systems, for they had never experienced something like this in the past.

"So, the guard dog can use a limited number of Core Skills at level 200, huh?" Technocraft muttered once the smoke cleared up, staring at the dissipating form of Rahakh, "You were lucky to survive that. But, that's all there is to you."

He condensed a pistol and shot bullets, poking holes in the remainder of Rahakh's surviving form, "Return to Zaira's embrace."

In a matter of seconds, a Grade 3 System had been killed, showing that this time, Technocraft was serious.

"Do you think anyone can knock on the doors of the System World as they please?" Space rumbled as the flow of time in the void halted. The strongest System descended as the Astral Network behaved like a backdrop.

More and more of its body condensed, solidifying a terrifying amount of power as it glared at Technocraft, "Do you take pride in killing a hatchling Grade 3 System?"

"Why don't we fight once again?"

"Ahh, Reincarnation…" Technocraft closed his eyes and opened them slowly, the nerves on his neck stirring up as his human form was shed off, causing his figure to morph into a world-devouring beast, one embedded with a billion eyes and trillion mouths.

Technocraft's greedy voice echoed calmly, terrifying all Systems below Grade 3. Even the weaker ones among Grade 3 weren't free of the suppression as everyone heard him speak, "It seems you brats have forgotten how scary a Genre Representative, especially I, could be."

"Let me do the honours of reminding you."
