Chapter 233: Massacre

The same scene transpired in dozens of luxury vehicles headed for Novartis headquarters.

The vehicle was parked in a parking spot off the path where there was nobody to be seen. The driver in front wielded a blank expression while in the back of the car, a vulgar experiment was ongoing.

A Black Knight injected a tranquilizer into a vein in Federer’s neck. Within three minutes, Federer dozed off into a deep sleep.

After that, the Black Knight took out an operation knife and cut into Federer’s neck without applying any form of disinfectant at the ready.

A pool of blood formed almost instantly.

The Black Knight appeared to be well prepared ahead of time. He quickly lay down a waterproof tarp on the seat cushion to prevent any bloodstains from getting in the expensive carpet in the car.

After that, he used a bone marrow puncturing needle to implant the God chip.

At last, another God chip controlled puppet was born.

Unlike regular God chips implanted into members of God’s Forbidden Zone, this chip completely took over its host. As long as the host was left unconscious, the chip could control the host’s expressions down to the finest detail.

After the chip had been implanted, the car started again and continued heading to Novartis headquarters.

Nobody was aware of what had happened earlier inside the car.

When the driver had arrived outside the Novartis building, the driver got down from the car as usual and opened the door for Federer. The two of them began walking toward the elevator, one trailing after the other.

“Federer, how are you just arriving? Don’t forget that you’re our host today, you should’ve come earlier.”

The moment they stepped out of the elevator, a man holding close resemblance to Federer approached them with boiling rage. “Hold on, where’s your script?”

Federer shot him an absent look before he continued walking into the venue.

“Fe...”

The man was just about to speak when the bodyguard stepped in front of him.

“B*stard, what do you think you’re doing Gilson, you dare stop me?”

The man was furious but with the giant blocking his path, he could only throw several more insults before walking away.

As more people began arriving, the bodyguards began positioning themselves outside the entrance. Each one of them carried a blank expression and looked almost lifeless.

This unsettled the arriving shareholders participating in the meeting.

“Please have the bodyguards stay outside.” When Gilson saw a shareholder approaching, he stepped forward, expressionless.

“Isaac, you stay outside.”

An elderly man with pale white hair issued an order to the bodyguard beside him. He then silently glanced at Gilson before pushing open the door to the conference room.

There were already approximately forty people seated inside the conference room.

...

“Something’s off.”

After seeing his boss off, the bodyguard named Isaac motioned at his partner beside him. “Vikander, did you notice something going on with the group of bodyguards opposite us?”

“I noticed it too.”

The man dressed similarly in bodyguard attire put his hand in his pocket, appearing slightly nervous. “Even though they are employed by different bosses, they look like they are all trained under the same instructor...”

“There’s more, did you notice the back of that guy and that guy’s neck...”

Isaac sneakily pointed at two other bodyguards in front of them. “There’s something off with the back of their necks. Are those white things gauzes?”

“It’s the same over there, that guy has a gauze on his neck as well.”

The bodyguard named Vikander remarked, “Their collars are also raised very high, is this a sign that they all have a wound on their necks?”

“What’s going on, is today April Fool’s...”

The two men discussed discretely and as time went on, more people began to arrive. What brought them some comfort was that among the bodyguards waiting outside the venue, only nearly a dozen of them filed themselves into the other group. Meanwhile, there were slightly over thirty bodyguards on their side.

There was an invisible border drawn between the two groups.

These bodyguards appeared somewhat absent-minded. Some other bodyguards attempted to make conversation with the strange bodyguards, but still got no response whatsoever.

The bodyguard named Isaac checked the time and noticed it was already two o’clock in the afternoon, which was the time for the meeting to start.

Isaac glanced at the elevator and saw the floor number shown on the display beside the elevator had stayed the same for some time.

This meant that all the participating members had arrived at the venue.

Muffled voices from the loudspeaker could be heard coming from the thick soundproof door behind them. Isaac suddenly became agitated as his heart began to swell with faint restlessness.

The root of this uneasiness stemmed from the cast of bodyguard colleagues in front of him.

Just as Isaac was planning to further inspect the situation with these colleagues, he suddenly heard rounds of rapid clicking!

It was the sound of handguns being loaded!

Isaac abruptly raised his head and was greeted by the sight of these strange colleagues drawing their guns almost all at the same time, their barrels were aimed at him!

“Careful!”

Somebody in his group uttered a short yelp. Just as Isaac tried to reach for his gun, he felt a terrible quake in his body!

Without him noticing, a bullet had found its way into his skull...

Isaac’s vision doubled over for a moment. In this very moment, a large chunk of his brain was blown off before it could get a sense of what was happening.

The bullet shattered part of his cerebral cortex but miraculously did minimal damage to his brain nerves, thus preserving several seconds of his conscience.

In the final moment of his life, he could hear the faint tremor of gunshots resounding in the conference room.

This was a trap...

This was the only thing coursing through Isaac’s mind in this very moment. It was followed by a wave of regret until his brain could not sustain itself anymore and stopped entirely...

Isaac’s body only collapsed after he had passed. Behind his lifeless body, dozens of bodyguards who had failed to draw their guns in time were mercilessly punctured with bullet holes.

With the help of the surprise factor, it took less than ten seconds to execute all the bodyguards by the entrance. It was only until then when horrific cries and wails could be heard coming from inside the conference room. Packs of wealthy businessmen and family members of plutocrats scrambled out of the meeting room, screaming and crying to the cold, hard gun barrels meeting them on the other end...

At last, all of the meeting’s participants collapsed onto the ground. The only ones remaining were the emotionless zombies like Federer.

Throughout the entire ordeal, they barely exchanged a single word. After massacring everyone, they split up and went into the stairways and elevators, promptly exiting the Novartis headquarters. They each scrambled into different directions and fled the scene.

After approximately ten minutes, dozens of police cars arrived at the scene and locked down Novartis headquarters but it was too late.

From here on, the group who had received the God chip implant would be directed to the hiding spots prepared ahead of time by Little X. These hideouts were carefully selected and the Black Knights had prepared everything several days ago. It was very unlikely that the police would find them.

After they had shaken off the police’s pursuit, the Black Knights would proceed to remove the chip from them and dispose of their bodies by way of cementing the bodies, dismemberment, casting them into oceans, and various other methods.

Chen Chen would never allow anyone to obtain proof of the existence of the God chips, even if they knew about the “neck injuries” clue.
