Into the Zombie World

Chapter 195 - Sudden Turn Of Events

Anger was apparent on the man's face as he talked about the two factions. Of course, who wouldn't?

Because of them, their miserable lives had become even more miserable.

"Continue." Nile said.

"After deciding not to join, we formed a group of our own. We choose this school as our base as it was devoid of any souls in here. Well, there were some zombies here and there but they are weak, so it's easy to clean them up…"

At this point, the man already realized that Nile had already seen through his lies earlier, so he didn't bother hiding it anymore.

According to the man, there are seven of them who were tasked to search for targets. Their primary target is of course the mutated animals. They wanted to satiate their hunger.

The man knew that he could not afford to offend Nile any longer. He did his best to make a clean image.

"The seven of us are the weakest of the group so we don't have a say about the group's movement. We are merely following their orders…"

The man continued to talk while Nile listened intently.

After a while the man stopped talking and stared at Nile nervously."Please, master, spare my… Our lives." His forehead touched the ground as he kneeled again.

Nile nodded his head. After hearing the man, he more or less understands the whole situation.

Seeing Nile nod his head, the man heaves a sigh of relief. 'Fortunately, I'm smart!'

What he said was true about them being the weakest of the group. It's also the reason why he didn't even think of retaliating even though their numbers are more than double compared to the enemy.

Heck, even that crocodile alone killed their strongest members, how much more if they themselves fought?

He glanced at the six men kneeling on the ground and nodded his head towards them. 'You owe me this one!'

The other six heard what the man was talking from before, they felt glad after hearing him cover for them.

Shing!

Suddenly, a resounding noise akin to a string breaking apart reached the group's eardrums. They nervously looked around trying to decipher where the sound came from.

"L...look!" One of them suddenly said as he pointed his mouth towards the area in front of them.

There, they saw a headless body kneeling to the ground. Besides the headless body was a blade so broad that it could cover the headless corpse body in whole.

Seeing that, they shivered in fright, and instantly, they ran towards their weapon and picked them up instantly.

"Kill them!"

After the group heard that one sentence, their bodies trembled even more vigorously. For them, it feels as if that one sentence was their sentence to death. It sends shivers down their spine causing a delay in their movements.

Boom!

A resounding boom reverberated the air as they got awakened from their gaze. As they looked behind them, they saw one of their companion's body getting squashed to the ground like a frog getting run over by a truck.

The enormous carabao had made its move. One attack and they already lost one life.

They didn't dare to watch any longer as they picked up their respective weapons in a hurry.

Escape!

That's the only word present inside their head as of the moment.

They didn't dare to fight, they knew they stood no chance. If they really fought, it would only mean one thing, suicide.

Boom!

Another tremor was heard as the carabao leaped towards one of their unlucky companions. The unlucky fellow was lucky for a moment as the carabao's foot missed his body by a slight margin, only hitting the ground.

However, his unluckiness struck again as when the carabao landed on the ground, it caused the ground to tremble, causing the unlucky fellow to stumble forwards.

He fell to the ground face first and what happened next could only be described as disgusting. The carabao used its hammer-like tail to smash the unlucky fellow's head. It burst like a watermelon as blood and brain matters dyed the area around it.

'Two down, four to go!' Maximo the carabao thought as he took a huge leap forwards, arriving near the next target.

His descent causes the ground to tremble and break apart.

He landed heavily on the ground. The man was prepared and managed to balance his footing, hence the reason he didn't stumble unlike the unlucky fellow earlier.

However, his ecstasy was short-lived as Maximo the carabao suddenly nudged his head forcefully upwards.

The man widened his eyes in surprise as he felt a huge thing penetrating his back.

He looked back and realized that it was the carabao's perfectly curved horns. The area around his kidneys was pierced.

Seeing that, the man struggled for a bit. However, the moment he saw the carabao's fierce one eye, his body instantly tensed. For him, that kind of look only reminds him of one thing,

Terrifying!

Blood burst out from the wounds on his kidney, dying the carabao's horns with scarlet blood.

His body was then lifted to the ground before Maximo the carabao smashed it again to the ground.

The man's consciousness darkened, he fainted from the impact.

In a hurry, Maximo uses his hoof to get rid of the man's body. Before he leaped towards another area, he made sure that his front hoof was placed on the man's body parts, especially the head.

Putsik!

Maximo jumped forwards again arriving near the next target he set his eyes on. Behind him, the man's head that he used as hoof footing got mashed like a potato.

Only three enemies remained.

Maximo was confident that he could finish them even if they ganged upon him. However, the only problem he was facing was that currently, the enemies escaped fervently, not daring to look back.

Using his enormous body, Maximo bumped his shoulder to the man in front of him.

The man's body flew like a broken kite before hitting the school's waiting shed.

The waiting shed shattered into pieces, however, the man who flew like a broken kite was still alive.
