Before things go out of hand, Nile decides to exit the area. He no longer wanted to stay there anymore. Besides, apart from self-satisfaction, there is no other thing worth mentioning in there.
Before he departed the area though, Nile left them a warning as well as a threat.
"Be careful who you mess with next time! Tell Browny to be mindful too, or else..."
Nile stared at the group threateningly one last time before he instructed Maximo to depart.
Being a Level One° Human must have boosted their ego. A newly evolved Level One° Human already has the strength to flip over a car after all. How much more someone like them who already had 6.+ stats of Constitution.
Browny, being the strongest of them all, must also be thinking along these lines. Seeing someone stronger than him must have hit his ego really hard.
Nile doesn't know what the group's outcome will be. The zombie pets are approaching, if they don't leave the area immediately, then getting run over by them is the least that could happen to them.
He did not purposely leave them a warning about the incoming zombie pets. If they survive the oncoming onslaught, then good, if not, then even better.
Although he understands that doing bad things in the apocalypse is normal, he will tolerate it if it was done to him. You want to rob someone? Then go, just leave me alone.
Nile throws away the rusted club and the rusted machete. The Pointy Stick, Dagger and the Whip, Nile stored them inside his Storage Space.
Robbing their weapons is really not necessary, Nile just did it to let them feel the feeling of being robbed. It was Nile's first time being robbed, but he did not feel an ounce of fear and nervousness, maybe it was due to the fact that he is stronger than the group combined.
Nile had also discovered another function of the System. It was the function of selling mutated weapons in the System Store. Mutated Weapons that came from Level One° Mutated Animals could sell for 5-10 Apocalypse Points, depending on the animal's stage.
For example, the Dagger, Pointy Stick and the Whip are mutated weapons that came from an Early Stage Level One° animal, their prices are all the same with 5 Apocalypse Points each.
Nile thought the System was really greedy. The Level One° weapons he bought from the store all had the prices of above 50 Apocalypse Points, but the System is only willing to give him a meagre 5 Apocalypse Points for every mutated weapon that he sold. After thinking of that, the System offered yet another function.
It was the function of imbuing the mutated weapons with the 'function' of auto collecting Apocalypse Points. And the Costs? Well, pretty 'cheap'. Twenty Apocalypse Points and the mutated weapon will be good to go. Not to mention, that was only the price for the Early Stage Level One° Mutated Weapon.
Nile shook his head and jokingly said, 'Tsk... The System sure is greedy. Where is my 'daddy' System? Why is it replaced with this merchant System?'
Nile decided not to sell or imbue the mutated weapons with the System. Nile thought that they might be useful in the future. Just like how the mutated fangs of the striped snake are helpful for Croco's evolution. Imbuing the weapon with the function of auto collect is also a waste of Apocalypse Points. They are only Early Stage Level One° weapons, after all.
A few minutes later, Nile arrived at the Village Centre of Kahoy. The towering trees inside the Village Centre are apparent even in the distance. Houses had already succumbed and already gave in from the tree's relentless approach. Cracks could be seen in the cemented infrastructure as roots and branches grew in between them.
At the entrance of the Village Centre, Nile instructed Maximo to slow down a little. In the System Map, Nile saw a red dot just right beside them. Nile guessed that the zombie must be hiding in one of the houses.
Nile suspects that the zombie is lurking in the house that has a red roof. The red house is sandwiched in between the two enormous trees.
It causes the walls of the house to be laden with holes due to the forceful penetration of the roots and branches of the tree. Nile had the hunch that the zombie is peeking in one of those holes to observe him.
Maximo 'moo' while looking at the red houses. With that, Nile confirmed that the zombie is really there. Nile urged Maximo to approach the house. Croco was walking beside them, alert.
When they arrived at the shattered door frame, a figure suddenly leapt towards them.
Croco reacted fast and successfully blocked the zombie's surprise attack. Nile inspected the zombie using the 'stats' function and learned that it has the same strength as an Early Stage Level One° animal. Nile patted Maximo, and they retreated from the battle. As it was Croco who acted first, Nile decided to leave the zombie for him to slay.
Croco attacked using his tail, but it failed miserably. Croco forgot that he no longer had any tail. The zombie saw this as an opportunity and it pounced on Croco's head. Fortunately, Croco is prepared as the moment the zombie pounced on him, he bolstered out and then stopped abruptly.
The zombie's body was then pierced by Croco's spikey back. Croco's attack is successful, he then rotates his enormous body causing the lodged zombie to be lodged even deeper. After a while, the zombie could no longer move as its whole body was already laden with holes.
The zombie's body was stuck in Croco's back, but Croco knew that it was still alive. Its head luckily evaded the spikey back of Croco.
Nile nodded in satisfaction as Croco moved towards him and Maximo. Croco looks at Nile like a child asking for a favour. With the earrings of loyalty, Nile could tell what Croco wanted.
Croco stared at Nile with pitiful eyes. Nile chuckled and retrieved the Katana of Liberation. Nile pierced the zombie's head, killing it directly. Nile then uses the Katana to remove the zombie's body that is stuck in Croco's back.
Maximo was gloating from Croco's misfortune. Maximo even teased Croco by patting Croco's head with one of his hoofs.
Nile received an increment of 0.05 in his stats points and 5 Apocalypse Points after killing the Level One° zombie.
Nile's Constitution is now at 10.55, his Will is ahead of 0.5 stats and is now at 11.05.
Although Nile's Will is already pretty high, it did not increase his thinking capability. The 'Will' is the defence of the brain and is not the brain itself.
If the strongest human in the Pangea Continent before had the strength to lift 500lbs before the Apocalypse, then his/her Constitution is only equal to 4.9. When Nile broke through that threshold and became a Level One° Human with 5.0 Constitution, he could already lift up to 1500lbs of weight.
With that alone, it could already be inferred just how strong evolved humans were. And for Nile, who had a 10.55 Constitution, his strength is already unimaginable for the people before the Apocalypse's perspective.
Nile calculated and discovered that he still has to kill 89 Level One° zombies before he could cross the threshold to become a Level Two° Human. It may be a lot, but Nile already has a plan in his mind.
All he needed to do now was wait for the right opportunity.
After removing the stuck zombie body from Croco's back, Nile hopped on Maximo's back again so that they could continue in their journey.
Before it got dark, they managed to kill another Level One° zombie, and it was Maximo who killed it this time. In that battle, Maximo was utilizing the 500lbs sledgehammer creatively to slay the zombie. Maximo ends the battle with a beautiful sledgehammer uppercut that manages to hit the zombie's chin. The zombie's head cracked like a piece of glass along with the death of the Apocalypse Virus inside its head.
With that kill, Nile felt pleased after knowing that he now only needs to kill 88 more Level One° zombie's in total to become a Level Two° Human.
It was already getting dark, so they searched for a house to sleep in. After a while, Nile found a suitable house that was not wrecked by the trees. Well, only some parts of its walls had holes, and its roof is still intact, so Nile did not search any further and decided to settle with that one.
Nile jumps off from Maximo's back and approaches the door of the house. Maximo and Croco followed behind him like a bodyguard.
Nile opened the door slowly and just as he was about to enter, a soft and threatening voice echoed in his ears.
A cold weapon was placed in front of Nile's neck.
"Do not move or I'll slice your throat."
