Loki helped Tsukasa to level up.

Tsukasa didn’t feel much. He didn’t feel a power surge inside his body, or the beast that was sealed inside his body had broken.

Jokes aside, while he didn’t feel anything he mentioned above, he could feel something inside him expand.

However, Loki let out a helpless voice again. “I wonder how many times you’re going to surprise me…”

“What’s wrong again?” Tsukasa asked curiously.

“Do you remember the “Development Abilities” that I told you yesterday?” Loki asked.

“Yeah.”

“You have so many “Development Abilities” that you can choose, and I am not sure which one I should give you.” If it was only combat type and support type Development Abilities, like “Hunter” or “Swordman,” Loki would say it was better to pick up “Hunter” since it would make Tsukasa easier to gain Excelia.

However, there were three types of Development Abilities that could be chosen when he had leveled up.

“Hunter, Swordman, Mage, Blacksmith, Mystery, Mixing, Spearman, and lastly, Luck.” Loki’s lips twitched, and she asked, “There are so many of them!” It was her first time seeing something like this, which made her unsure how to choose which was the best Development Ability for Tsukasa.

‘Also, what the hell is “Luck”?’

Loki had never seen “Luck” Development Ability before, which confused her. “By the way, besides a doctor, you’re also a blacksmith before?”

“I learned many things that I could in the past. After all, I am just an orphan.”

“I-I see…” Somehow Loki wanted to hug Tsukasa right now since she could feel a trace of loneliness in his voice. Well, she had hugged him right now and put her face on his shoulder, rubbing her face on his neck.

“…What are you doing?” Tsukasa was speechless since he was being molested by Loki.

“I thought you were lonely,” Loki said as if it was a matter of course.

“…Can we focus on Development Ability first?” Tsukasa asked while pulling her claws away, so she wouldn’t touch something she shouldn’t.

“Okay, okay.” Loki thought for a moment and said, “I think you should either choose “Hunter” or “Luck” for your Development Ability.”

“Can you tell me the reason?” Tsukasa didn’t agree immediately and asked the reason why Loki decided on those two skills even though there were many of them. He didn’t know the uses of those abilities, and he wanted to listen to the function of those abilities.

Loki also didn’t mind and explained those abilities, especially the “Hunter” and “Luck,” considering those two were something that she recommended to him.

The “Hunter” was without a doubt the best ability one should choose when they became Level 2. Not only Loki, but all the gods and the goddess also agreed this was the ability that should be chosen for the adventurer, especially when it appeared when they had leveled up. After all, it only appeared when one became Level 2, and it wouldn’t appear when they were Level 3 or more.

As for its function, it improved abilities against monsters that the user had fought before and gained excelia from.

However, it was hard to level up this ability.

Ais also had chosen this ability, and it had been eight years since she had gained this ability, yet she only raised her “Hunter” ability to G rank.

However, it also showed how amazing this ability was since it was hard to level up the mastery of this ability.

Tsukasa must admit this ability was good, especially for the adventurer who had to fight monsters every day in the dungeon. However, he didn’t immediately agree and asked, “What about “Luck?” While the effect of the “Hunter” was interesting, he didn’t have much interest in it. Instead, he was more interested in “Mystery” since he had a feeling this ability would have an unexpected effect on his cube.

However, “Luck” also attracted his attention since Tsukasa had a feeling it wouldn’t appear again if he didn’t choose it. Still, he didn’t know its effect, and he waited for Loki’s explanation.

As for “Swordman,” “Mage,” and “Spearman,” Tsukasa didn’t have an interest in any of them since his ability to learn anything was just too powerful. Even without those abilities, he could master any type of weapon. Also, those abilities didn’t seem to help him other than helping his mastery over a weapon and magic. In other words, they were useless.

Instead of choosing those skills, it was better to choose something else.

“What about “Luck”? What’s the use of it?” Tsukasa asked.

“I don’t know,” Loki frankly said since it was her first time seeing this ability.

“….” Tsukasa.

“However, without a doubt, it is used to increase one’s luck, right?” Loki said.

Tsukasa nodded and agreed with Loki’s speculation since “Luck,” without a doubt, was used to increase one’s luck.

“Don’t underestimate “Luck.” After all, sometimes, you need the luck to stay alive,” Loki said with a serious expression.

Tsukasa agreed since even if “Luck” couldn’t be seen, without a doubt, it was one of the factors one could stay alive in the battle. He also thought it would help him get him a better Drop Item.

Whenever a monster died, it would drop a magic stone. The adventurers picked those magic stones and sold them to the guild, so they could get money. However, if they were lucky enough, they could get a Drop Item.

Drop items are items that can sometimes remain along with the magic stone after a monster dies. They are parts of the dead monster and are used to make weapons and items and therefore are traded at high prices.

If Tsukasa got “Luck,” his chance to get a Drop Item was even bigger.

Frankly, his luck was good since out of ten monsters, Tsukasa would usually get seven Drop Items. However, what attracted him the most wasn’t this type of thing. Instead, by increasing his luck, he knew his chance to stay alive, get stronger, and without getting stabbed was even better.

“Loki, I choose “Luck,” Tsukasa said without hesitation.

“Are you sure?” Loki asked.

“Yes.” Tsukasa nodded and said, “After all, this might be the last time I see this ability. If I don’t choose it now, it might not appear in the future. As for the “Hunter,” while it is powerful, there are many adventurers who don’t have this ability yet were still able to become strong, right?”

“That’s true.” Loki nodded and agreed with Tsukasa’s words. After all, even in her Familia, there were Level 6 adventurers who didn’t have “Hunter” as part of their abilities. Even without the “Hunter” ability, they could become stronger.

On the other hand, luck might be invisible and couldn’t be seen, but she must admit it was a powerful power, especially to stay alive.

Loki also thought his “Luck” might become a great help for everyone, the Familia too.

After confirming the last time, Loki put “Luck” as his development ability.

Tsukasa gained power and wondered what kind of ability he could gain from “Luck.” While he was in the middle of a thought, the door was knocked on.

“I wonder what kind of ability it will give you,” Loki said curiously, but then she heard someone knock on the door of her room.

“Loki, are you there?”

Loki felt weird when she heard this voice and asked, “What’s wrong, Riveria?”

“Finn wants to discuss the details of the expedition.”

“Come in.” Loki didn’t say much, but she forgot Tsukasa wasn’t wearing his shirt at that moment.

Riveria entered, but then she was stunned when she saw Tsukasa was there, without wearing his shirt. She panicked slightly, and her face turned bright red, but it might have been an accident. Suddenly, she stepped into the empty bottle and lost her balance.

Tsukasa saw Riveria would fall and thought to catch her, but who would have thought there was an empty bottle on his feet and he also fell down. “It hurts!” The back of his head hit the ground, and he thought to stand up. However, he halted his movement since he felt something soft touching his lips.

“…” Tsukasa, Loki, and Riveria.

The three of them were silent, and neither said anything.

The world was devoid of noise, and they were just too dumbfounded to say anything.
