For Adam, the only way to gain even more time was to enter the library and last even longer than he did during his previous visit.
The last time he entered the Library, he was only able to last approximately 3 weeks before he reached his limits and had to leave the Nexus.
But this was when he had basically no power, no Prana whatsoever, and had merely one major chakra opened.
Be it in terms of skills or experience or even mindset, the current him was completely different from the past him that had entered the Library.
He had survived the assimilation of the great Celestial— Buddha and died more than a hundred times during his gruesome training to open all of his minor veins.
He had already greatly expanded the power of his mind through the opening of his Crown Chakra and even unlocked his unique ability— The World.
He didn't know how long he could last during his ensuing visit but surely at least two months should be manageable for him, right?
'Genesis.'
pαпdα-ňᴏνê|·сóМ [I cannot analyze how much time you will be able to survive. Too many variables are present for me to give a correct analysis. But as an estimation, if you do the same thing you did last time, you should be able to stay for 3 to 4 months.]
Adam whistled at the news and was immediately shushed by the Librarian— a relatively tall man with a harsh face.
Adam immediately mouthed his apologies and the librarian nodded and went back to do his work.
Adam had been a regular visitor recently and either way, just one mistake wouldn't be enough to ask him to leave.
Once Adam was sure that everything was alright once more.
He focused once again on the matter at hand.
The last time, he had just read a few books with nothing of note among them. The fact that it took three weeks for him to do that was quite surprising but now his goal wasn't to just read.
'The current part I can access is only the lowest floor of the library. The knowledge that place holds is tied to the present technology.'
Of course, this would be quite useful for him but not so much that he should waste his time there.
'Genesis. What about if I just revise the information I have in my memory currently.'
Thanks to his recently acquired ability the Eidetic Memory, it was like he had an entire library in his mind that could be accessed at any moment.
Of course, like any memory, there would be some inconsistency with the literal text. But what he was trying to recall were just the books he would be reading inside the Library.
[If you do not read any book but only focus on reviewing the information you have in mind….]
Genesis stayed silent for a while.
[I do not know.]
For the first time, Adam could feel something akin to embarrassment emanating from Genesis' voice.
[No one has tried something like this. Ever. After all, no one could hope to have near unlimited access to the Nexus like you.]
Who would give up on the chance to obtain unlimited knowledge just to review old knowledge?
Adam mused. It was true that he could obtain skills by reading books in the library.
Even though they were just D-rank skills like Appraisal, the fact of the matter was that he could obtain many skills without actually having to pay any Karma.
But Adam had realized this in his fight with the Mercenaries.
The World alone was without a shadow of a doubt the greatest and most versatile skill he wielded in his arsenal.
Not just because it was an S-Rank skill in the making, but also because of the potential it had to surpass its ranking and soar higher into the EX category.
Right now, any skills he obtained should be used with the intention of strengthening his unique ability— The World.
This was his true goal of entering the library this time.
Adam thought so as he focused on the book about gravity and its mechanisms.
'Now then, Newton my old friend, I hope you will enlighten me.'
Next to the book in his hands were books about atomic fission, the relativity of time, thermodynamics, string theory, and understanding of different dimensions.
He didn't know how helpful those theories would be for him in the future.
After all, the understanding humans had of those laws was in constant evolution even as he read about them.
Once Adam had access to higher-level books in the library he would definitely try to read the higher-level theories those books contained if his current experiment succeeded.
For now, though, he had no results. But since he was able to affect the law of inertia in his domain and based on the description, this means that logically speaking… This could work.
'Man, I am taking so much copium with this.'
Adam chuckled bitterly. He would be quite disappointed if it failed.
But it was worth taking the risk. The results would be astounding if he were to succeed.
For the few students in the library who knew Adam, they could only look on with bewilderment at those books filling his table.
After all, wasn't Adam supposed to be a law student?
They were destined to go home and be still completely confused about what they saw today.
———
As usual, with his busy schedule, time went past extremely fast.
Before he knew it, the afternoon was already upon him and the librarian gently asked him to leave so that he could lock the library.
Adam nodded and brought the books back to the shelves he got them from before leaving the library premise. He had already memorized most of the content and he could easily study it at ease at home.
Once outside, Adam stretched a little before starting his walk back home.
In the past, he would walk until the bus stop, but ever since he awakened his power, he took the habit of simply walking back to his house without the use of any transportation.
This gave him a good workout that was not too straining on his body. Walking a few kilometers was nothing since his endurance surpassed that of a Marathon champion by far.
As such, when he reached home, he was barely sweating and his breath was still completely stable.
"I am back!"
He opened the door and shouted, only to crouch down immediately as a knife passed by where his head previously was.
Adam showed no expression of surprise but simply waved his hand and brought back the blade to his hand using his telekinesis.
"Seriously? What if I had someone behind me?"
"Heh, I may not have your Domain, but don't underestimate my senses."
Cecilia showed a smug expression as she walked up to him and took the knife that was embedded in the corner of the door.
"You should have caught it with your power. How can you easily block bullets otherwise?"
Cecilia grinned as she spoke those horrifying words. Since Adam was already a human sniper rifle, Cecilia wished to train his ability to defend himself.
The day he could use a telekinetic wall to stop all offensive attacks would be the day Adam becomes a true monster in her opinion.
"You seem to be in a good mood. What gives?"
Adam shrugged as he walked into the living room and plopped on the Sofa.
He was mentally tired and did not wish to speak much but Cecilia's joy was basically radiating on her face. He didn't even need to use his Eyes of Empathy to see that fact.
"Well. An old friend of mine decided to come to visit me. He should be here by tomorrow?"
Adam was about to make a joke about how he thought she had no friends outside of Shuri, but then he remembered that he was the reason for her not having more friends. As she had to leave her old life behind to raise him up.
He wisely stopped himself from using that retort and said instead, "Could I know who he is?"
Cecilia looked up, a smile hanging on her face, "The best blacksmith in the human world."
She chuckled, "Also a stubborn and stupid old man with a tough exterior but a tender heart."
In the past, Makarov and his family had been kidnapped by an Evil cult that considered his weapons to be blasphemy to the gods.
After all, Makarov had never hidden his ambition to create a true Legendary weapon.
No one had accepted the mission as it was suicidal and most of the Zodiacs were too busy to move.
Furthermore, the Zodiacs of a country weren't really allowed to enter another country without permission. It was considered an act of aggression as they were close to walking tactical weapons.
In the end, the only one who accepted the mission was her.
Her goal had never been to save Makarov. But simply to massacre all the cultists.
Which she did.
Even then, Makarov became a dear friend and he always considered that he owed her his life.
"When he comes, he will be able to give you your weapon."
Once Adam received a proper weapon, things would change completely for him.
Once he comes back from his visit to the Library, it will be time to receive an official license. Ideally a hunter's license as well.
"Oh… Interesting."
Cecilia noticed that Adam seemed quite nervous.
"Something happened again?"
"Not yet."
He sighed, "I think I am ready. I will enter tonight."
Adam imagined what would happen if he woke up and suddenly felt the backslash of months without eating or sleeping.
"Please don't open the door of my room. No matter what…"
This was a sight he did not wish his mother to witness.

That night,
[Do you wish to enter the Library?]
[Y/N]
[Warning, this action will consume One free pass]
[Number of Passes Available: 1x Bronze Rank Pass.]
"Use one pass."
Adam's body slowly grew limps as the number of passes available went from 1 to 0 and his mind entered that legendary Nexus for the third time.

(AN: So, a reader gave me some information about Russian names in general and I realized I made a mistake with Aleksandra since her full name kinda implied she is Natasha's sister.
So from now Aleksandra is just Aleksandra Nikitina.
MP is set to be full of characters from different nationalities. So once again, if I make mistakes in names, customs, laws, salutations, or whatever else, don't hesitate to call me out and contact me in the comments or in my discord server.
I am more than happy to learn something new.)
