Chapter 287 Lectures
After Smither Gary finished his words, Lei Zhen was silent for a few moments before nodding his head.
"If you can truly do it. Then I'll learn from your method so long as you properly teach me and not just tell me to do it without any instructions. It would be no different than some trash professors telling their students to self-study." Lei Zhen said sincerely.
"Fine by me," Smither Gary sneered and swiftly went to action. And the moment Smither Gary began his smelting process, it was as if the scenario was two completely different things.
Unlike Lei Zhen, who struggled to smelt the metal bit by bit, Smither Gary swiftly smelted 300 plus metals simultaneously, surpassing Lei Zhen's result in one go.
In fact, Smither Gary's smelting work seemed to be 10 times faster than what Lei Zhen did as well. It didn't even take 5 minutes for Smither Gary to finish smelting the batch.
Lei Zhen was completely aghast when he witnessed such an impossibility.
What Smither Gary did was the same as him, except the portion of the metals being smelted was different.
"H-How was that even possible?" Lei Zhen stutteringly said. He was watching Smither Gary's work with an eagle eye, yet he was still dumbfounded by the miraculous result presented in his eyes.
"How was it possible you asked? Little brat, this is what I have been doing for years." Smither Gary sneered coldly and smacked Lei Zhen in the head.
"Instead of looking like a country bumpkin, you should have learned the micro-actions I have done. Just because it might look similar in your trashy eyes, the processing is completely different." He added.
Although Smither Gary's tone was quite harsh, he was actually reminding Lei Zhen to recall his micro-actions during the smelting process.
And sure enough, once Lei Zhen concentrated on each and every precise detail of Smither Gary's works, he noticed there was indeed something different.
Smither Gary merely smirked when he saw the realization of Lei Zhen on his facial expression.
"I'm taking this batch with me, but you should hasten your work. Otherwise, it would take weeks, if not months before we can even start the process." Smither Gary laughed and returned to the backroom.
Lei Zhen smiled bitterly when he realized Smither Gary was truly lecturing him into becoming a proper blacksmith.
'At this rate, I might actually have my second job as a blacksmith. Though it might not be so bad since blacksmiths are difficult and the wage is quite profitable.' Lei Zhen thought to himself.
However, he quickly shook his head about such a fantasy when he still had a ton of metals left to be smelt.
"Just you wait, Smither Gary. I'm going to knock off that cocky smile of yours." Lei Zhen sneered coldly and quickly mimicked the method that Smither Gary had used in his smelting.
And sure enough, after being lectured by Smither Gary, the smelting process had increased by a large margin.
From his trivial 300 metals smelted previously, Lei Zhen was now able to smelt thrice as much- and in a short amount of time as well.
"Heh, it was actually this easy." Lei Zhen chuckled softly as his hands seemed to have turned into a machine, working extremely fast.
Meanwhile, Smither Gary smiled slightly in the backroom.
What Lei Zhen didn't know was that the backroom had a special mirror- one that allowed Smither Gary to spy outside and the people outside were not able to see him.
Therefore, the entire time, not only was Smither Gary working on other materials for the Bolten Artifact, but he was also inspecting Lei Zhen thoroughly, making sure he was not encountering problems.
"Although this little brat is a bit hateful with his methods, he sure has the intelligence to learn quickly. I only showed him once and he already caught up with the proper technique and mimicked at least 80 percent of my work." Smither Gary muttered, staring at Lei Zhen.
A few seconds later, Smither Gary shook his head and returned to working on the more tedious task- dismantling a monster's core and carving it.
Compared to the smelting work of Lei Zhen, what he was doing was something more advanced and technical stuff. One mishap and he would have to restart everything.
As the two of them focused on their respective works, outside in the wasteland field, Tang Qiaolian, Griselda, Liu Lingxin, and Candice were all interrogating the detained 4 players.
"Speak, what is your organization and why are you capturing other players?" Griselda asked coldly.
Alas, no matter how much they attempted to extract information from the detained enemies, it was all futile. Their mouths seemed to be superglue, with none of them even replying to their questions or threats.
"What should we do, Qiaolian? At this rate, they're all going to be forcefully logged out of Magnolia and we won't be able to extract any information by then." Liu Lingxin asked from the side.
Currently, they were able to detain these players consistently, prompting them unable to log out or escape.
However, once the automatic system forced players to log out when they reached a certain play hour, then they would lose them forever.
After all, the enemies could easily stop logging into Magnolia and no one would be energetic enough to keep camping at the same location.
And of course, the enemies knew this very well as well. Thus, they weren't a bit frightened and were completely calm on the surface.
Just when the women were completely helpless at the situation, Candice suddenly spoke up on a topic that caused them to be surprised.
"Why don't we just imprison these people in the prison cell? The prison cell has a special formation that prevents anyone from being able to use magic or items." Candice asked confusingly.
Since she was an NPC and not a player, she didn't have the mindset of Tang Qiaolian, Liu Lingxin, and Griselda.
"Holy smokes, you're a genius, Candice!" Griselda exclaimed in shock.
