Recruiting DarkSorrow was the first step in Max's series of talent poaching.

After convincing him to join forces, Max nudged Sebastian to try and convince some of his mercenary followers to join too but despite the salary rewards and high joining rank promised, only 7 chose to follow their leader and join the army under Max, but with 3 of them being tier4 it was not a bad recruitment session overall.

The group then returned to Dombivli City after a long flight where Max explained the in-depth situation of the Bloodfall clan Military, their exact numbers and the status of their recruitment and training programme.

As expected, DarkSorrow was quick to point out the obvious flaws in the training system and began suggesting better training methods that were being employed by the church of light.

Upon reaching Dombivli city, just like how the clone dominated during his debut at the army, DarkSorrow wasted no time in establishing his dominance as he settled into his role as commander pretty easily.

Reforming the training system and tactical deployment, DarkSorrow submitted a list of materials and labour that he needed to quickly build a new training facility and launch a recruitment drive, which after a review by Asiva was passed, despite the massive cost associated with it of 14 billion gold coins.

If everything went as DarkSorrow hoped it would, the Bloodfall clan would add at least half a million well trained troops to their ranks in the coming 6 months and about 1.5 million active personnel by the time of the upcoming evaluation.

The increase in troop numbers would help alleviate the severe manpower shortage that the army currently faced and improve the volatile security situation considerably.

Currently the army was too thinly spread across many planets, with no planet having sufficient security and that needed to change fast before someone exploited the weakness.

DarkSorrow was happy by the way things operated within the Bloodfall clan, the power structure was clear, the restrictions were minimal and the only person he reported to was the lord himself.

Overall, he was happy with his new job.

ραпdα nᴏνɐ| сom Max on the other hand was gone on another trip to recruit another talent that could potentially bring with himself an entire established Information network which the state was desperately in need of.

Max hoped to build his intelligence beauro with this man at its core and his contacts being the initial set-up for the department.

This time he had brought with him Anna for the recruitment mission and their destination was the Goblin stronghold city of ' Shisk '

*********

( At Shisk, the Goblin stronghold )

Shisk was one of the very few goblin planets in the universe, which was operated, controlled and used predominantly by goblins but was still open to the common public.

It was a trading hub that was used by goblins to offload their loot, and the most interesting feature of any town on the planet was the ' Bazaar ' , the unregulated market where anything could sell for any price without oversight.

The planet was a nightmare for casual travellers, but a paradise for merchants, antique enthusiasts and slave trader's as anyone could strike it rich within Shisk.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom

Antiques, swords, stolen loot, pirate goods, humans, animals, monsters everything sold inside the bazaars of Shisk which made it a popular destination for alchemists looking for rare ingredients.

If one wanted to experience what living in the dark faction was like, Shisk was the closest place to that.

" I don't usually doubt your judgement, but don't you think anyone living in this vile place is not worth associating with? " Anna said as she winced looking at the poor elves on display in the bazaar, selling for only 500 gold each.

If they were not on a mission which required Anna to keep their identity hidden, she would have bought them and set them free this instant.

Max : I know you are pissed seeing your brethren being bought and sold, but this is Shisk - here elf, orc, human, vampire, goblin, beastmen, everything sells, regardless of the gender. You can buy 2 from this bazaar but 200 others would be selling elsewhere. It's better to be patient in these situations.

Anna : I know… it's just annoying ….

Anna : Who are we looking for here anyway? You said you would explain once we landed here

Max : We are looking for a hobgoblin, one belonging to the thief class, probably the greatest thief to have ever lived. I'm sure you would have heard his nickname ' The timeless thief ' growing up.

Anna : I've heard rumours about the timeless thief ' Jathi ' , the only individual to ever sneak into the room of a monarch and steal a ring from his finger and sneak back out alive to tell the tale.

Max : Well it's an impressive feat, but the monarch in question is Thor so… yeah, his senses when he's drunk and snoring are questionable.

Anna : Hahaha, that's true, Thor was a muscle headed brute, like how can someone sneak into your room and steal a ring from your finger! Haha

Max : Yep, the reason why we are looking for this man is because contrary to popular belief he's not a god and after his legendary rise to fame, he has established a very strong underground information network….. Bank heists, assassination's, ruins exploration, he has mastery in these affairs and has his men on the inside of many prestigious banking institutions….. On the surface he behaves like a thief consultant, but I know for sure that he has his hands buried deeply in politics.

Anna : So you have confirmed news that he's living on this planet? Can we even find and extradite such a man from his home ground? Or are you confident in convincing him to join us?

Max's lips curved in an upward smile at this question, as he winked at Anna and said " Just wait and watch "
