" Say what buddy, which orb should we try and protect? " Max asked Sebastian as the two of them started to study the map that Regus had unflurred and tried to make a choice.

Sebastian had an innate talent when it came to this sort of stuff.

His cowardly senses were way better than Max's and hence he could decide better as to which orb they could choose to protect.

" Well the one which is inside the valley makes no sense whatsoever to defend.

To defend it we will need to protect both the valley's and it will still be open to offensive from the middle.

So definitely not this one " Sebastian said as he pointed on the orb that he felt was the most stupid to defend.

Coincidentally some other lord's advisor saw an opportunity in saving that exact orb as they believed that if they could hold both ends of the valley then any attacking force down the middle could be pelted by arrows and stones, making it impossible to assault down the middle.

They chose that orb right from underneath Sebastian's finger which made both Max and Sebastian question their general knowledge.

Looking towards each other, both men shrugged as they decided that fools would keep behaving like fools, nothing they could do about it.

" We cannot defend this one either, it's in the middle of a river and we don't have a potent navy " Sebastian said as he pointed towards an orb that was in the middle of a small stream as he decided that since the Bloodfall clan did not have navy capabilities at the moment it was best to avoid this one.

Max agreed with this assessment, the orb was difficult to build defensive constructs around because it was in the middle of a stream, but with his way of the water mastery he could always alter the path of the stream by a few hundred metres, bringing the orb out of the river and adding a layer of protection by having one side covered by a flowing river.

Max looked at that orb and felt like it was not a very bad option either.

The river's origins were from the nearby mountain which was already being protected by another clan, meaning that if the enemy wanted to get to them from the river they would need to fight with or at least try to bypass the mountains first.

The possibility of mounting an ambush was impossible, while well dug-up positions could be created all along the bank sides to defend.

Max looked across the table and realised that none of the lords wanted to take that orb for that very reason.

In this modern day and age where destroyer spaceships were the norm, nobody had spent heavily on their naval infrastructure since that technology had become obsolete.

" We will take this one " Max eventually said after a lot of consideration as his choice surprised many sitting at the table.

Soon, a small Bloodfall clan flag was placed over the orb that Max had chosen as his choice was made official.

( Meanwhile Lucifer )

Lucifer and the rest of his gang were on the hunt.

Drunk by their success of taking down the almighty dragon king and injuring Hades, the group believed that they were strong enough to take on anyone.

Recently, Lucifer had got his hands on an ancient book written by none other than his master the unnamed god where he tried to discover the whereabouts of the tier10 treasures scattered across the universe.

After many dead ends and failed exploration attempts, Lucifer had managed to find the seed of darkness which had became the main source of his newfound power.

Being the greedy bastard that he was, he knew that while the search and exploration of the other seeds could take centuries, there was a short-cut to getting more before the war started, if only he could locate his master.

The elusive bastard had been looking for the seeds for centuries now and Lucifer was sure that he was in possession of at least one or two.

If Lucifer could rob those treasures off-him, then the momentum on the dark factions side would become unstoppable.

*********

( On a desolate planet )

A soft breeze blew across the desolate landscape, disturbing the dust that covered the arid surface of the alien world.

Amidst this desolation sat the Unnamed God, serenely lost in meditation. Despite the harshness of the environment, an aura of tranquillity surrounded him.

Suddenly, a thunderous boom echoed throughout the barren expanse. A vortex of darkness opened, and from it stepped out Lucifer, followed by his formidable gang. Each had a menacing aura about them, their very presences causing the atmosphere to ripple with foreboding energy.

"Old man," Lucifer addressed, his voice carrying across the silent plains. He casually ran a finger along his sword, the Seed of Darkness pulsating ominously.

"You knew we were coming, didn't you? I tripped past your space web, there's no way you had no idea that we are coming, yet you don't run away but meditate in peace? You are even cockier than I remember you to be, hahaha " Lucifer said as he could not believe his eyes that the old man was still here even though he had the opportunity to escape.

The Unnamed God slowly opened his eyes, a smile spreading across his face. "Naive boy," he replied, his tone calm yet filled with an undercurrent of undisguised amusement. "I stayed back to show you who the master is in our relationship and who is the disciple"

Lucifer sneered, his fingers gripping his sword tighter. Without a word, he lunged at his former master. Simultaneously, the human sovereign Kane, the shaman god Memphidos, the horned Satan, and the dark elf sovereign charged as well, their combined power forming a terrifying onslaught.

A fierce clash ensued, as destructive energy waves erupted from the two factions. The once desolate planet trembled and crumbled, mountains vaporised, and deep chasms formed under the sheer force of their powers. Within seconds, the entire planet was in ruins, a mere shadow of its former desolation.

Despite the overwhelming force directed at him, the Unnamed God remained eerily serene. He expertly deflected the blows, his powerful aura barely wavering. Amid the chaos, he gracefully drew a line in the air. A shimmering portal rippled into existence, its light in stark contrast with the darkness enveloping the planet.

" DON'T YOU RUN AWAY NOW " Lucifer shouted in anger, not understanding why he could no longer move freely through space as while he could not see anything holding him back, he suddenly felt like he was moving through lead rather than air.

" Well stop me instead of shouting then" the unnamed god said as he winked at Lucifer and stepped through the portal.

As the portal closed behind him, the swirling energy of the portal whiplashed outwards, catching Lucifer off-guard, leaving a slight cut on his cheek.

Blood trickled down the devil's face, a stark reminder of the power difference between him and his former master.

Despite all the seeds he possessed and his assembled powerful allies, Lucifer was reminded of his inferiority. The Old Man had escaped, unscathed, leaving behind a chaotic, destroyed planet and a humbled Lucifer.

As the portal vanished and the dust of the ruined planet settled, Lucifer touched his bleeding cheek, his expression hardened. "This is not the end, old man," he muttered under his breath, staring at the spot where the portal had disappeared. "Next time, you won't be leaving so easily."

His voice echoed in the empty space, the only testament to the great battle that had just occurred.

He was too cocky to believe he could corner the unnamed god like he did to the dragon king.

Today was a reminder that there were always bigger fish in the sea.
