My Evil System

Chapter 173 Oh No! Oh No!

[Lucille's POV]

I retrieved the [Magic Shot] in my inventory. It appeared like a gun with a sniper function. Since my aim was terrible, number seven did the wonderful thing of adding an auto-lock function on the gun.

Now . . . I just have to aim the sniper scope at the balloon, and the gun would do the rest.

When I fired, I took a hit from the recoil and rolled a few meters back before my spine smacked a tree.

"Agh . . ." That hurts! I groaned and rubbed my back and head.

But on a good note, the Air Balloon was gone, and all went back according to plan again.

But being me, my nervousness was still on the full drive.

I took a calming potion that number seven made specifically for me in times like this.

When I got too nervous, I passed out. It was like a disease that I couldn't control.

Better take my medicines if I didn't want to find myself in a dungeon the next morning, being interrogated and tortured and all.

I rubbed my shaking hands together and breathed hot breath towards it. The chilly night was intensified with this nervousness wreaking havoc in my veins.

The goblins were now on the chase though they managed to save what little was left of their numbers when they closed the bridge. A huge part of their armies on the backlines was pincered from all sides when they showed their back.

The armies in their left and right wings were also chipped, and not all made it to the drawbridge.

Hmm . . . they sacrifice so many to save a few.

Good choice. If they didn't want to get annihilated, they should close that gate before the goblins had the chance to storm inside the castle gates.

Wait . . . why was I praising them?!

I grumbled to myself and clutched my hair while vigorously shaking my head left and right.

My nervousness was attacking me in full force. This was bad! BAD! If I couldn't penetrate those walls until morning, then it's game over for me!

Wait!

I stared over at the walls when the Goblins climbed over the battlements using the dead bodies, boulders, and trees on the mote as a stepping stone.

NICE!

I gave a thumbs up to the Goblins for their wise thinking. Or was it their instinct kicking in, and they stormed the mote without regard for their safety or their fellow goblins, for that matter?

In the first place, do goblins even know the dangers of the mote?

That didn't bother me if the Goblins weren't bothered by it.

My nervous streak calmed down a little when the goblins finally broke into the other side of the walls, and there was no stopping them from pouring like ants to get those fresh meats.

It would only be a matter of time before the whole town would be swarming with goblins, and it would be my win for sure.

Still . . . this pesky feeling of negativity wouldn't go away. I was on my feet . . . edgy and on the verge of collapsing while battling my nervousness that would never go away.

Would they be fine in there?! Are there numbers enough to annihilate the town? Rather, this Grendelkin just wasted those boulders by throwing them here and there. He should have created a hole in the castle walls when he got the chance!

ArrRgGhH!!

I chugged another [Calming Potion] and took another two more bottles just in case.

Panting, I strained my eyes over, wanting to know what was going on inside the castle walls.

What's happening there?!

I was already biting the chapped skin of my fingers when there were no more nails to bite.please visit panda-:)ɴᴏᴠᴇ1.co)m

WHAT's GOING ON IN THERE?!

I then heard a blast. A loud roar was followed by a wild torrent of lights, and then a loud beast flew upwards from the smoke.

It landed on the ground, splattering the goblins' guts and blood on the ground with its two legs.

A-A . . . my breath hitched at the sight.

A DRAGON?!!

I bit a good chunk of flesh from my finger at the sight from how shock I was. But I didn't care about the pain as my eyes turned dim.

What's a dragon doing there?! How did a dragon appear there all of a sudden?! Why was it there?!

What's going on here?!

No one had seen a dragon for years! Many believed that they were already extinct or out from reach, but who would thought that I would saw one in this backwater town?!

Before I could recover, there was someone who leaped off from the Dragon's back.

A . . . player?

I couldn't be certain because he had a mask on. A maw mask that hid his face.

What?! Who?! Is he the one who owned the Dragon?

ραпdα Йᴏνê|(сòm)

Was that possible?

This is bad! BAD!

No one warned me about this!

I clutched my head in frustration and wanted to yell but couldn't. Least, I wanted to give my position away.

What to do?! What to do? I thought as I walked back and forth.

For another minute, I clutched my head and yelled inwardly when there was no idea in my brain but only more unwanted worries.

It was the end!

My Grendelkin couldn't contend with a dragon, and the goblin armies were quickly depleting thanks to that stranger.

Who is he?! Why didn't I notice him before?! There shouldn't be someone in there that could kill thousands of goblins in one blow.

He even summoned a wolf beast companion to aid him!

Was the Dragon his pet too?!

This was bad!

And my last composure finally broke when my Grendelkin was killed, and the goblins' armies retreated.

My eyes rolled on the back of my head, and I saw darkness and burned spots for a while. I slapped my face hard, and my brain rattled from the force.

This was no time to pass out. I had to get out of here. Rustin's army was already marching toward here. I could feel the hooves of horses shaking the ground with their galloping march.

Damn it!

I glared at the man and the Dragon one last time and hissed under my breath.

"C-curse you!"

Using my reserved mana for escape, I opened a portal to another dimension and exited the battlefield.

I-I'll remember you, the stranger with a maw.
