It had been just two minutes since he picked her up and so far nothing had been said between the two in the car as he drove them home.
"So, how was the seminar?" Dave asked, breaking the spell of silence.
"It was nice."
"That's good," Dave said.
"For the first parts of it, after that, it got really boring and I would have fallen asleep if it weren't for my dignity." She said before letting out a deep sigh. "Attending a seminar for sports reporters would be really fun, I envy Emma."
"I see you're still complaining about not getting to be a sports reporter." He said.
"Still complaining?"
"Yeah, I overheard you talking to Emma about it the last time you visited."
"Oh."
"You know Emma said that she didn't really like sports reporting when she got her job, she said it wasn't that bad but she would pick other niches over it if she was given the chance to choose."
"I knew she wouldn't like it that much," Emilia said.
"Yeah, she didn't like it that much then but I'm certain that she enjoys doing it now." The goalkeeper said. "Listen, just try your best to enjoy what you're doing currently because a lack of passion brings a lack of motivation and that leads to less productivity which leads to failure."
<Speaking from experience>
"I understand what you're trying to say and I love my job even though I wasn't given my preferred niche but I still want to be a sports reporter, my passion for it surpasses every other niche."
"I see, then keep pushing for it, you'll definitely get it one day, it may not be in your current working place, it may be somewhere else." The goalkeeper said.
"Yeah, that's right." She said,
'Maybe it was my fault that I missed out on becoming a sports reporter at my current working place, after all, they give out niches according to your areas of specialization.'
After about thirty minutes on the road, the two had finally gotten home.
"Boy, I'm starving." The goalkeeper said before letting out a yawn as soon as he entered the house.
"So soon? Didn't you have lunch?" She asked as she walked toward the staircase.
"Um...not exactly but you can't really call those things food." He said.
"What things?" She asked.
"Never mind, it's nothing."
"Okay, let me go upstairs and get changed, and then I can see if I can make something real quick." She said before making her way upstairs.
Dave kept his gaze on her until she was out of sight before he slowly made his way to the kitchen.
'I didn't even get any training today because I was too busy running around.' He said subconsciously before opening the freezer.
He had two bottles of two liters of water left and since it wasn't necessary for him to drink on a go every morning again, he was going to limit his supply for them.
He picked up one of them and opened it and just like always, he raised it above his mouth and allowed the whole thing to pour in.
"Good days." He said as soon as the last one entered his mouth.
"Woah! I have never seen anyone drink that amount of water on a go."
The goalkeeper quickly turned to the entrance to see Emilia standing there with a shocked expression on her face.
"Well, I've been doing it for quite a while now so it's normal to me." He said. "I thought you were going to get changed." He said after noticing that she was still in her dress.
"Yeah, but I need a glass of water first."
"Oh, okay."
"You know drinking that much water on an empty stomach causes stomach cramps." She said, walking closer to him.
It didn't take long before he felt a stinging pain in his lower abdomen.
'It's the same as the one I get every morning after drinking that much water, only that this one seems to be a little worse.'
He had to grab his stomach with both hands allowing the container to drop on the floor.
"You'll have to clean that up." He said before quickly making his way out of the kitchen.
Emilia let out a little chuckle as she watched him leave the kitchen.
"Now what did I come here for?" She said before turning her gaze to the freezer.

Emilia made dinner snappy just like she did last night and after finishing his meal, Dave made his way to the living room to clear his head for some minutes in front of the television while Emilia went on to do the dishes.
It didn't take her long to finish, she was about to go to bed now but when she turned to Dave to say goodnight, she changed her mind and decided to head over to the area instead.
"Oh, so you want to watch something with me, I'm assuming you love telenovelas as much as Emma does," Dave said after she sat down beside him.
"Oh, no, don't even go there."
"Huh?"
"Never compare my love for telenovelas with that of Emma's, she's the reason why I even started watching it, her love for those shows is overboard, I like it but I don't really care that much if anything happens to the characters." She said before crossing her legs on the couch.
"Oh, I see, you don't go crazy for it."
"Exactly."
"Okay."
"So, this person you want me to meet next week, who is he?" She asked. That was the main reason why she was there as she had not even gazed toward the television for once.
"I see you're still curious to know," Dave said before turning his gaze to her. "But, I've already told you, I will tell you if you promise that you will be here next week on Wednesday."
"I've checked my schedule and I don't think I can make any promises here." She said, "Just tell, it's not that much of a big deal."
Dave stared at her for a while before saying, "No."
"I see you won't tell me no matter how much I ask." She said before getting up from the couch. "I'm going to bed then, good night."
Dave didn't reply as he watched her make her way upstairs until she was out of sight.
"Things would have been easier if she didn't look so much like Emma, how can two people not related in any way at all look so much like identical twins? This is a very big mystery."
'I told Emma I would give her a video call before going to bed.' He said subconsciously before picking up his phone from the couch.

Ten minutes into his sleep, the goalkeeper found himself in the endless white space with Catherine standing in front of him.
"Are you going to pound me with balls from every direction and make sure I feel the pain because I'm sure that training wasn't completed?"
"I would love to do that again but no, we'll be doing something different today," Catherine said.
"What?"
"Training your focus."
"I thought we'd already done that."
"Yeah, but this is going to be the intense version of it."
"Intense?"
"Yeah."
"That sounds like another punishment."
