Chapter 1: CHAPTER 1 - FAIRYTALE

CHAPTER 1 - FAIRYTALE

There is a story my mother has always been infatuated with, ... there was a Prince who rescued a girl which he fell in love with at first sight. And like any fairy-tale, the girl married the prince, and they lived happily ever after. But unlike my mother, I never really believed much in fairy tales.

My family has never really been like any typical family, but then again, we weren't brought up by just any normal parents. Unlike most kids, my brother and I were brought up purely to excel in everything we set our minds too. And yes, failure has never been an option, I believe that was when we started the unhealthy habit of overpowering each other in everything we do, but then again, Chris had never given me a chance to back down, his only words of encouragement for me were, "You can't possibly loose to me just because I'm your older brother? Don't disappoint me, Ally." And that was all it too for me to get back on my feet every time.

Although we were hardly two-years apart from each other, he always made the point of his superiority very well known. And unlike my mother he was somewhat afraid of what would happen to me if I were ever to tie the knot with anyone.
