Chapter 9: CYRUS'S CAFé
The moment Alicia and Liam took their seat in one of the tables, Alicia tried by all means to keep her eyes glued to Cyrus's eyes, she was somehow feeling a little apologetic about the way Liam had acted towards him a while back.
But what she did not know was the glare which Liam kept giving Cyrus the second she laid her slightly saddened eyes on him. He was a second away from turning Alicia's head in order for her to face him, yet he tried his utmost best not to do so in order not to scare the lady.
Cyrus's constant eye-contact with Alicia did not make the situation any better either.
........
Five minutes before, …
Right after Liam placed his order authoritatively, Alicia quietly looked at his face with emotionless eyes, she was both angry and annoyed by his behaviour, in all honesty if she had known that he was going to ruin her Saturday morning by behaving like a crazy person she would not have entertained her mother's infatuation with him in the slightest.
She slowly moved her eyes away from his face and looked straight towards Cyrus's blank face as she spoke ever so softly and said, "I'll take the chocolate milkshake Cyrus, you know I always start my Saturday mornings with something sweet in my system."
And with those words she smiles shyly as she bent her face in pure embarrassment, Cyrus chuckled slightly as he signalled her to take a seat in her usual table with a little wink.
At this point, both Cyrus and Alicia could not care any less about how Liam reacted to their interaction towards each other. While the other party simply took notice of the way Alicia's temperament changes constantly according to the person she is addressing at that specific moment. The woman intrigued him more and more every time he took notice of her.
........
The moment Cyrus brought their order to their table, he placed a small note in front of Alicia as he flashed her a small smile which she gladly opened and smiled after reading the note. She mouthed a 'THANK YOU' to him and he left their table as he laughed loudly, much like he was doing so only to piss Liam out, which only earned him a cold stare from him.
When Alicia started to nimble on the muffin in front of her, her phone rang suddenly which she quickly excused herself from the table and left the café in order to be able to answer it privately.
The moment she left the café Cyrus made his way towards Liam, and with that Liam quickly took his eyes off Alicia's back and looked at the man in front of him with nothing but a smirk on his face.
