"Leon Rainheart." She said while turning around to walk towards the windows. She gazed outside in the distance as if thinking of some memories from the past.

'Rainheart? Why does it sound familiar?'

His eyebrows scrunched hearing that name as if he had heard this surname before. He looked at her back and felt she was very distant from him.

"He was my older cousin. 11 years ago his mother got very sick from an incurable illness. All the priests in the empire failed to treat her. His little sister, who was only eight, asked Grandfather for a solution as we had lost all hope to save Leon's mother.

At first, he was reluctant to tell us anything. But her constant weeping and stubborn request caused him to break his silence. He told us that there is indeed a solution to cure the disease.

It was the moon berry fruit that grew in the Glassy River of the Bloodhill wilderness where a silver stage shelter of humans was present. If we wanted to save her, someone had to bring this moon berry fruit from the Glassy River.

We sent many warriors there but they never returned. The health of Leon's mother kept getting worse as days passed. The head priest told us she wouldn't last more than a month. His little sister kept crying seeing her mother in pain and dying slowly.

Leon doted on his sister a lot and didn't want to see her in tears. So one day Leon decided to go by himself without informing us at all." Lia narrated the story with a sorrowful voice.

Rio kept gazing at her back and listened carefully. He was afraid to say anything in the middle to interrupt her.

She continued, "When his sister found out about this she was happy that her mother would finally be saved. She waited for her big brother at the teleporter tower every day in the hope he would return. It caused my heart to ache to see my cousin-sister upset, so I accompanied her on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, Leon didn't return for 28 days. On the evening of the 29th, we saw a space rift opening in the teleporter tower and a figure bathed in red blood from head to toe came out of it.

He moved slowly towards his little sister with a gentle smile on his face which was not recognizable because of the injuries and blood. He left a trail of blood on the floor as he walked because blood kept dripping from his body.

He handed her a crescent-shaped fruit which was moon berry fruit and took her in his embrace while kneeling on the ground. His little sister recognized him even though he was barely discernible and cried miserably while she was hugging him.

The Head Priest had run to the tower to heal him. His little sister separated from him so the head priest could heal him.

Like a statue, Leon didn't move again. He was kneeling on the floor while looking at his little sister with a doting smile on his bloody face without any speck of life energy in him" Lia's voice wavered at the end as she spoke in a downhearted voice.

She looked downcast and lonely while she was gazing in the distance.

Rio walked towards her and deactivated his [Disguise] spell. He caressed her head which made him feel her silky white hair.

She moved her sleeves upwards to wipe her moist face before turning around to look at him.

"Tears don't suit you either even if you look cute." He said in her own words she told him a month ago.

"I'm not crying." She said in an annoyed tone and didn't want to accept it.

"I shouldn't have asked about him. It caused you to remember a sorrowful past." Rio said in a bitter voice.

"Don't worry about it," She spoke while she tried to act strong so he doesn't feel bad.

"We should have our breakfast before it turns cold," He said in a hurried tone while pointing to the portable table.

His intention was to change the mood as the tension grew and caused sadness to envelop the room.

"Okay let's have our meal." Lia moved towards the couch along with him.

They ate together and Rio talked about the school. Hearing his talk, Lia slowly regained a radiance on her face.

After some time passed, Yami came back to clean and left while pushing the cart with emptied bowls outside the room.

"Don't you want to know what happened after he died? Did we save his mother or find out who was behind it?" She probed him with curious eyes.

"I have those questions but I don't want them at the cost of making you upset." He mumbled.

"I'll not get upset but you need to know why we Asura hate humans. One of the reasons is the incident with Leon. His mother died on the same day as him as if waiting to go together to the afterlife. The head priest inspected his body and found a tiny piece of an AI watch stabbed into his flesh.

We wanted to find the reason behind his death but grandfather told us that heavenly stars are aligning against us.

Even if we went there we would have lost many lives since we don't have any shelter in that area. There are 6 red stage shelters and a silver-stage shelter in Bloodhill wilderness all claimed by humans.

It's very far away from the empire and an unknown location to us as we haven't explored it So we didn't go against his decision." She calmly spoke in a nonchalant voice.

"What happened to the little girl?" He asked as a questioning glint flickered in his eyes to know about Leon's sister whose life drowned in the tragedy.
