Everyone tried asking her questions.
"Yes! Helix made the spell on his own. It's valued at 1000~gold coins." Charlotte declared with a grin.
More excitement and chaos followed.
Suddenly a weeb turned back to him.
"So wait, did you kill it?" The weeb asked.
Helix gave them a slight smile.
"Of course."
Madness and chaos exploded in the cafeteria again.
—
"Then…. The super-otakus and power-weebs will have something else to talk about that isn't the Myriad Library." Helix chuckled.
"It might be an hour or even a day before people bring it up again.
That way, jealousy never takes root.
It'll cook reality into their brain like a jealous lobster."
Marie, Charlotte, and Riley burst into giggles.
"That's not a bad strategy." Marie commented with an amazed tone.
"Yeah. It only works because He~llie is amazing.
He can pull discussion-worthy topics out of thin air now." Charlotte commented.
"You act like he couldn't from day one."
More giggles followed.
"Speaking about things to make the super-otakus and power-weebs jeal~ous." Charlotte sang.
"Let's give them a reason."
She stripped off her t-shirt, and Marie and Riley giggled before following her example.
Helix gave his partners a hopeless smile.
A second later, he joined them.
—
"After it died, we killed the remaining beasts, and I carved a [fuck you] sized piece of that beast off its body." Helix chuckled.
The Cheat hopefuls burst into excited laughter and cheers.
"I checked the area and found the berries in the distance.
Then we had a decision to make.
Do we enter the Warpshire den in pitch-black darkness to grab them?
Or should we flee?
The battle secured our route back to the magic circles leading us out of the forest."
"Haaaaaah. So you chose to get them." Maze commented.
"Hell yeah, I did! Hundreds of beasts had just attacked us on a peaceful flower-picking trip for my girlfriend.
You best believe I was going to pick some damn flowers!"
Laughter erupted in the room and echoed throughout the halls.
"Did more Warpshires show up?" Charlotte asked excitedly.
"Hell if I know." Helix shrugged.
"I knew where they were.
I was holding a Circle of Silence and scent masking circle.
I couldn't see, hear, or smell anything but that berry.
After she confirmed I could get it, I sprinted out of there with my new stats.
I ran up, grabbed a single Liskaberry, and threw it into my item storage.
Then I booked it like a harem protagonist being chased by twenty women!"
Laughter erupted in the cafeteria again.
"The… hahahaha…." Helix burst into laughter again.
Everyone turned to him excitedly.
"The only thing… hahaha… that I know… haha…."
Helix fell to the table, gasping for breath.
The otakus and weebs listened to him with frustration and anxiety.
They wanted to know!
"Is… haha… that when I grabbed Tyrene's wrist at full speed… hahaha… and ran…."
Charlotte's eyes lit up with an evil grin.
"She thought there was! Her… her face… hahahaha!"
Laughter carpet-bombed the entire area.
"I… haha… was the worst… hahaha… apprentice ever." Helix laughed while wiping light tears from his eyes.
"To think… hahaha… she came to Kozen… haha… as an excuse for a vacation!"
Gasps spread through the hall.
"Master Tilo… haha… and master Linus… haha… were permitted to train me… hahaha… she just hopped on the bandwagon for fun… hahaha." Helix cried.
"Then she spent two months running from nuclear… haha… wyverns, and… third-evolution Hellhounds… and Colossus'."
The otakus and weebs roared.
Light tears welled in Helix's eyes.
When he lifted his face from the table, he wore the most dazzling smile they or his partners had ever seen.
Moreover, there was a strange aura that people couldn't put into words.
Everyone that saw it felt incredibly happy.
"The final month I spent with her and my partners… was a blast!" Helix declared.
"During that time, Myriad was the magical world I always dreamed of!"
—
Marie clapped her hands together.
"Now that you're done with your breakfast, we will announce training for today!"
The silence that followed and the reaction was so anime-esque that Helix couldn't help but chuckle.
Only otakus and weebs would positively react to an otherwise rude method of shifting a topic.
Nervous chuckles and light groans ripped through the cafeteria.
Marie smiled at the servants and nodded.
They graciously bowed and moved in to collect the dishes.
"Today, we'll do the most brutal training otakus and weebs will ever know." Helix interjected.
Everyone looked at him with fearful eyes.
"We're going out in public to have fun!"
Laughter flooded the cafeteria again.
Helix gave Marie a hopeless smile that said, [Sorry, I had to].
Marie gave him an equally pathetic smile.
Then she turned back to the Cheat hopefuls.
"That's right." Marie chuckled.
"We'll be busy training and preparing for an impending attack in the weeks ahead."
The Knights quieted down nervously.
"Until then, we want you to enjoy yourself and meet new friends." She said with a bright smile.
"Make memories, drink Alka, chuck out awesome shops on Burllow street, and everything else that makes Myriad magical.
We've arranged a restaurant to house us for dinner, and there will be a music festival in Burlow Street park if you want to go.
There are a lot of shops that sell extraordinary things.
Today we want to show you that Myriad is the magical world we dreamed of.
We're going to be humans, so tomorrow, we're ready to work hard."
Many smiled, but no one was cheering.
"Hmmm. Up to you. Say nay, if you'd rather swing a sword one thousand times before anal attentive magic control training?" Helix grinned.
Silence and wide eyes met his words.
"Say aye, if you want to spend a day enjoying life with three beautiful War Goddesses and all of your friends."
"Ayyyyyeeeeeee!"
"That settles it. We'll leave for the town immediately." Marie giggled.
Many wore nervous expressions.
"We're giving everyone ten gold, so no one needs to worry about money.
While that seems like nothing to us, you can buy a shop for ten gold where we're going.
Not because the area is poor.
Rather… it's because ten gold is a lot of money."
Marie flashed the group a charming smile.
Everyone turned to Helix for confirmation.
"Hmmm? It's true. I made my lover look like a goddess for half a gold after a trip to Burlow Street." He chuckled.
"Then a dozen of my peers spent a fortune in the noble district only to show up with embarrassed servants the next day."
The thirty-eight super-otakus burst into laughter.
Helix gave the power-weebs a slight smile and motioned to Marie's laughing face.
Then he panned his hand everywhere else, cracking up.
"As you can see, it's very true.
That night, she was so stylish that jealous people left me with three broken ribs."
People quieted down.
"Zero regrets. Anyone that saw Emelia's face that night has that bright smile carved into their memory." Helix announced with a warm smile.
The weebs panned the crowd and saw warm smiles everywhere.
"Emelia told me one night that our trip to Burlow street that day was the happiest day of her life." Helix recounted with a warm smile.
"And it only cost a few silvers."
Inspired faces looked at him, and he met them with a gentle smile.
"Ummm… Helix…." Millie called out.
Helix chuckled and smiled at her.
"Yes, Millie?"
"Ummm… can I… ummm… hang out with you today then?"
Helix's eyes widened, and he gave her a regretful expression.
Everyone watching had a confused expression.
"I have meetings today, and can't come." He answered with a remorseful tone.
Millie looked crushed, and others looked sad too.
"However, I'll be at dinner tonight at 5pm."
The downcast faces brightened.
"How about you sit next to me tonight?
Would that be okay with you?"
Millie's eyes widened in surprise.
She nervously turned to Marie, Charlotte, and Riley, who gave her nods.
The little woman gave Helix a bright smile that charmed everyone present.
Helix met hers with a gentle smile of his own.
"See you tonight, Millie." He said softly.
"I'll see everyone else there as well. Enjoy your day!"
