Chapter 2233 Mistake

Krejin came back along with the guardians.

He walked toward Sam and gave him a spatial storage ring. Sam checked the contents and nodded. It is what he was promised. Sam looked at Siola.

"I am gonna kill her right now. Any last words that you want to speak to her?"

"I do have something to say to her and I would like to do that with some privacy."

"I will close my ears and you can whisper it to her. I promise that I won't eavesdrop. But letting her go…? That's not happening."

"Do you really think you can do whatever you want, just because I am asking nicely? I said I wanted to talk to her alone." Krejin said in a cold tone.

"I would turn down that glare a bit if I were in your position. The position of the loser. What the hell are you going to do besides order your lackeys around? Beat me with your own hands?"

Krejin's whole body twitched.

He then leaned in towards Siola and whispered. "you are not going to die." In a very low tone. Sam as he promised didn't eavesdrop. He just read the lips and a smirk appeared on his face.

The next moment, a giant wave of darkness enveloped the surroundings. Sam is cornered by a few familiar faces from all sides.

"Seems like, young master Krejin has invited a few more friends."

Sam said as he focused on the shadows. He has sensed them ever since the guardians and Krejin came. A familiar group, all are hiding in the shadows of the guardians. The shadow cavalry.

"I don't know what you are talking about. It seems like they followed me here, when I went to tell them that the trap has to be withdrawn. It is a honest mistake. And technically I didn't break the promise."

With the massive flash, both Sam and Siola disappeared.

It is a device created using some necromancy. Even though for soul absorption, necromancer is mandatory, with some tweaks and tricks they managed to create the device that will help in direct capture of the soul without the involvement of the necromancers.

Everyone within the area of the net that died, will have their soul captured in that net.

Sam was about to say something, but no voice came out and before he could even react, the shadow cavalry stabbed a sword straight through his back.

"Contact Siola, she must be around here, trying to escape. Tell her that everything is fine."

Krejin leisurely ordered as he watched the Shadow Cavalry butcher Sam into minced meat right in front of his eyes.

Now, the secret is safe, Siola is safe and his reputation is safe. Sam's soul is also captured in the Soul net. Krejin for some reason had a bad feeling at that moment. His gut told him something severely went wrong.

The shadow cavalry didn't stop even after destroying Sam's body. There is not a single sign to show that the bloody splatter was once a cultivator, a living breathing creature.

He screamed at the top of his lungs turned around and lunged at the shadow cavalry.

"STOP IT. STOP IT. STOP IT YOUR BASTARDS"

The guardians reacted quickly and tried to stop their master, but they were a tad bit too late. Krejin fell to his knees in the middle of the shadow cavalry and looked at the bloody mess in front of him. The memories he absorbed from the soul, clearly showed what he missed and what actually went wrong.
