Chapter 137 – She could not possibly share the inside story with the outsiders (2)

She could tell that the mood was down when she walked into the office the next day. The incident of Li WangJin launching the Cherry Blossom Pills had affected her employees to a certain extent.

Unlike their Beautify Pills, where 10% off was the most they were even given, the Cherry Blossom Pills would be launched with steep discounts. If the two truly shared the same formula, the customers would doubtless go for the cheaper option.

If their company failed to handle the situation properly, they worry that any accomplishments they’ve achieved prior to this would only be paving the road for their competitor.

Manager Yao of Marketing came to Fang JunRong. “Boss, do we need to launch some kind of campaign as well?”

Their company could remain stuck up before because they were almost in a monopoly situation. Not everybody could get their hands on Beautify Pills even if they could afford them. The move made by Li WangJin had certainly rattled them.

Customers would leave them for him if they didn’t do similar campaigns.

“If we give discounts, they’d only increase their discounted amount.”

“But…”

Fang JunRong lifted up her hand and said to her, “Don’t worry. Calm down. We don’t need to race to the bottom with them.”

Seeing how confident Fang JunRong was, Manager Yao bit her lip and said, “Okay, I believe in you.”

She had no other options other than believing in Boss Fong at this point. She left with a worried look.

Fang JunRong lowered her head and returned to her documents. She probably wouldn’t get any work done today. Someone else came to resign shortly thereafter.

It was the deputy chief of Technology.

“I apologize, Boss Fang. Something is going on at home and I need to resign.”

Fang JunRong gave him a look and said mildly, “I seem to recall we pay you quite handsomely, but it seems like Li WangJin can offer more. I wish you luck in your future endeavors then.”

Deputy Chief Sun was taken aback a little. A look of discomfort flashed through his face as he said, “That’s not it.”

He thought Fang JunRong would say something else, but she merely accepted his resignation letter and said to him, “Okay, just finish up the transition in the next couple of days.”

Under normal circumstances, resigning required a one-month notice period, but judging from the way Deputy Chief Sun looked, he probably wasn’t in the mood to stay for the entire month nor did Fang JunRong feel comfortable with him. Might as well just let him leave sooner rather than later.

Looking at her reaction, Deputy Chief Sun left his resignation behind and took off.

He wasn’t the only one. A few more put in their resignations with Fang JunRong after him.

Fang JunRong seriously suspected that Li WangJin was the one urging them from behind. Otherwise, they wouldn’t all resign on the exact same day. This was probably Li WangJin’s way to send her a message. He just couldn’t help himself.

Truth was, she was appreciative of Li WangJin’s move. Now he had helped her cleanse out all the spies in her company.

She pursed her lips and approved all of the resignations. They all resigned voluntarily, so she would not need to shell out any severances. That saved quite a bit for the company as well.

After all these employees had transitioned off their work, Fang JunRong, too, had completed collecting the evidence. All these employees who were leaving to go to Li WangJin’s had more or less sold the company’s trade secrets. A few of them were even the key players in helping Li WangJin in obtaining the formula for the Beautify Pills. Although part of the reasons that they were able to obtain the formula so easily was because of Fang JunRong’s behind-the-scene effort, she still frowned upon such behaviors.

She had treated them very nicely. With how popular the Beautify Pills were, the company even gave out bonuses intermittently.

All she could say was, not everybody would have Kong LiLi’s kind of integrity. To each their own.

Looking at all the evidence that she had collected in the last few days. She would be contacting the cops in the next few days. As many trade secrets as they had stolen, none of them would be spared. She’d dish out some popularity for Li WangJin as well. He had always been leeching off of hers, it was time for some repayment. Besides, the higher one stood, the farther one would fall.

What happened to her in her previous life had taught her to be patient.
