Sitting comfortably in the base that Kana created for him, Creige took in his day training. "Kana really did not hold back on choosing this place."
Creige looked at the sword in his hand that had broken right in half and sighed. He had used some of the best ore he could find in Aurora to create this sword. "The monsters here are not easy to fight, and just this area alone is on par with my own peak abilities."
He knew if he was not quick enough, his arm would have been lost instead of his sword. But he also felt that this was very good. Being able to push himself to his limits would be the only way he would be able to match up to his wife. "If I can just figure a way to reach her level in a quicker manner…."
Creige could only sigh as he contemplated his own weakness. After he took out another sword he had prepared as a backup, he stood up and walked back out of his base.
The sky was dark with grey clouds, and rain fell from the sky, but the mountains he was in were filled with monsters of all types and sizes. It was a very dangerous world for him. Creige made his way through the forest, keeping an eye out for any monsters that might spring up. He did not want to fight more than one at a time, so he was looking for a monster who was roaming around solo.
He came to a clearing where a large monster about twice as tall as him was feasting on another monster it had just killed. Creige closed his eyes and calmed his breath as he readied himself for another round of fighting.
He had only stepped out of the tree line when he suddenly jumped back, landing a few hundred feet from where he once stood. The ground exploded in front of him, causing him to have to cover his face with his arms. Rocks and debris flew by him, slicing into his skin, but they were nothing more than a few flesh wounds.
Creige's brow furrowed as he looked up towards the dark clouds overhead and yelled out: "Who are you? Why did you attack me just now?"
"Tch… You are quite the quick one. A weak man such as yourself is no match for Nalia." A handsome man wearing black robes floated down from the sky. His hand arched with black lightning. "A mere mortal has even defiled Nalia's new body…."
Creige did not understand. "I do not know who this Nalia is. So I think you are mistaken."
"Mistaken? I am far from mistaking. You dared to touch something that did not belong to you. So you can die here." The man in black robes did not want to listen to Creige's words. He only knew one thing, and that was that this man had to die.
Creige could tell that no matter what he said, the man in front of him was not going to listen. He had no idea who Nalia was, nor did he care. He only knew one thing. This man wanted to kill him and probably would not stop until he was dead. But what confused him was that he was being called a mortal.
Creige also knew one more thing. The man in front of him was very powerful. Even more powerful than himself. He knew he had no choice if he were to fight head on. Thinking of his family and Kana, Creige could only take a step back and hope he could get away and hide back in his base that was covered in his wife's barriers. While the thought of being protected by his wife irked him, he had no choice.
"Where do you think you are going? As of today, you will no longer be allowed to live. I did not come all the way to the mortal realm just to let you escape!" The man in black robes waved his hand creating a ball of black lightning to appear in front of him.
"Papa!" Another voice appeared out of nowhere. A void opened next to the man in black robes, and from it, a young woman around twenty years of age stepped out. "You can not kill him!"
"Nia, are you protecting him!?" The man in black robes yelled back. His face contorted in anger.
"Mama will never come back if you harm him!" The girl answered back. She tugged on the man in black robes' sleeve and put on a pleading expression.
"No! No matter what, he can not live!" The man in black robes yanked his arm away from the young woman before waving his hand.
Creige, who was trying to figure out what to do, felt his hair stand on end when he felt the strength of that attack that was coming at him. It was strong enough to destroy this planet! This man wanted to take the planet out with him!
"No!" The young woman wanted to step forward and save Creige, but the man in black robes grabbed her arm and pulled her back.
"It's already over. What is the point of going forward now? All that is left is to clean up…." The man in black robes' brow furrowed. He looked down to see his black lightning disappear as if it had never been there in the first place.
"Who dares to touch my husband!?" Kana appeared in front of Creige, her eyes filled with murderous intent. She looked at the man in black robes who was staring back at her in shock and raised her hand. "Those who dare to harm my loved ones will live a life worst than death!"
"Mama, no!" The young woman panicked and stood in front of the man in black robes with her arms stretched out in front of her. She looked down at Kana with tear filled eyes and bit her bottom lip as she pleaded: "Mama, you can't kill, Papa!"
