Chapter 421 - Rain's Trial Part 2

As Rain slashed down with her sword, she did so with her eyes closed. But when she opened them, she saw the two headed monster lying on the ground dead. Rain was breathing heavily as she looked at the overly large monster. After the sudden shock of what she had done, Rain's lips curled up into a smile as she raised her hands up into the air and yelled: "I did it!"

She did not see the projection of Creige standing in the shadow, smiling and shaking his head. When Rain rushed towards the monster, Creige did not plan to get involved, but when he saw her clumsy attack, he realized that her fear had clouded her judgment. Not wanting her to get hurt, Creige made it look as if Rain had killed the monster by herself. He did so in hopes that she would have more confidence now. Just this action alone made him sigh. "I guess Kana is not the only one who shelters these girls."

But what Creige did not realize was that because of his small action, Rain's fear of her situation was swept away as she now had newfound strength to overcome all the odds. This was actually what she needed the most at this time. "Mama! Handsome Papa, I will make my way to you soon!"

Seeing Rain acting like this made Creige smile. But to his surprise, what he saw next completely amazed him. Because of the stench of blood, more monsters appeared and charged at Rain, but this time she was no longer scared. Although she was not able to kill any of them in a single strike like before, she was still able to hold her own and was using the terrain very well. Her animal instincts, something that she inherited from Kana, were allowing her to really push herself to the limit and fight these monsters that were much stronger than her.

Creige had originally planned to have the monsters stand as a test for her to learn how to be stealthy, but now she was moving headlong into battle with a big grin on her face as she, with great difficulty, took down monster after monster.

Creige scratched his head as he thought back to all the training his girls got from their mother. It seemed as if that training was finally showing its worth. "I guess I will end this when she reaches the end of the gorge. Although her growth rate right now is high, with how she is so attuned with her animal instincts, it seems she will not be slowing down anytime soon. Which means I will need to end it before she rushes into the next challenge."

Rain killed and killed and killed, leaving behind dead monster after dead monster in her wake. The bottom of the gorge had formed a river of blood from the tens of hundreds of monsters that were slain as Rain pushed forward, trying to reach her goal.

When Rain saw that she had reached the end of the gorge, she turned back and looked at the path behind her. Then she looked down at her clothes that were soaked in blood. Although she felt sticky, she was not disgusted by it. This was actually proof that she had survived a great ordeal all on her own. "I was able to do it! I was able to face my fears!"

"That you were…" Creige appeared in front of her. This caused Rain's eyes to open wide as tears began to well up.

"Handsome Papa!?" Rain yelled out. She was doing her best to fight back the tears in her eyes and not rush forward to hug him.

"This portion of your trial is over. You can now take a rest with your sister Yana." Creige said as he reached his hand out and patted Rain on the head. "You did very well."

"Mmm…" Rain said with a trembling bottom lip.

When she saw the world around her change to that of grassy plains with a cottage standing in front of her, she felt like everything that had just happened was a dream. Yana opened the door to the cottage to see Rain standing there in a daze and called out to her. "Rain!" The violent Yana from before was gone, and the timid and pure Yana had returned. But even if she had two personalities, she still retained her memories no matter which persona she was in. She ran up and hugged Rain before checking her over for any injuries. "Good, you're okay. Come, let's get you in the bath your covered in blood."

"Huh? Ahh Yeah? Yana!? Wait… What's going on? I was in a dark place and killed many monsters. Now I am here… Was it all a dream!? " Rain was completely confused.

"I will explain inside." Yana turned back and saw Creige nod his head and mouth the words: 'Thank you.' to her. She nodded and brought Rain inside. Creige once again disappeared. He now had to go to Angelica's side.

"What!? What happened?" Yuthia finally stopped fooling around and waved her hand, causing a white dress to appear on her body.

"There was an incident with an assassination attempt on the new queen. Tilia is in bad condition. Right now, Keniil is not only guarding the capital but also doing what he can to keep Tilia alive we need to go over and support her." Sei explained as she took Yuthia's hand and began to teleport them to the palace.

Yuthia was not fully ready when Sei began the teleportation. She hurriedly cried out: "Wait, Sei! I don't even have any panties on!"

But it was too late. Yuthia found herself standing in the middle of the throne room with nothing but a long white dress on that went down to the floor. If it was not for the fact that the dress was very long, she would be feeling a little embarrassed.

"You're here! Quickly see what you can do. I can only do so much." Keniil was in a panic, he had promised Kana he would watch over the Rural kingdom for her and keep Tilia safe but he has already failed at one of the two promises.

"Don't worry we will not let her die."
