Anna was happy to hear that, even looking like she wanted to kiss him.
However, she still held back and simply said, "thank you dear, but you know, my wealth is your wealth too as long as our relationship continues, so there is no need to worry about profit and loss."
Luckily no one heard her words or people would have gone crazy with jealousy of Arthur.
How can a beautiful and wealthy middle-aged woman take a young man as her lover and even share her wealth with him in today's era where even married couples would write an agreement on wealth separation.
Actually, to Arthur, Anna's words were more like a flirtation and he couldn't argue that it enhanced his impression of her.
Right after that, a white luxury car suddenly arrived, attracting everyone's attention directly because it was a recently released car, there were only 5 in the whole world, each of them costing 7 Million Euros.
Even an Anna was mesmerized the moment she saw the car as she herself would not dare to spend that much money on a car.
She seemed to wonder which boss was in the car.
After stopping, the driver's door opened and a woman in a black suit stepped out.
That made Anna say, "not a woman, right?"
The woman in the black suit then went to the back door and opened it while bowing.
Soon after that a pair of charming feet stepped from the car.
From those feet everyone could deduce that the owner was a beautiful woman.
The attention to the car ended up not just being stares, but also discussions. Even journalists pointed their cameras at the car.
They quickly spotted the owner of the foot.
She was a woman who looked to be in her mid-30s, with long, straight auburn hair that fell down like a crystal waterfall. Her skin was white as snow and gave an impression of elegance to her beautiful face.
Her figure really caught the eye because of her tight white dress, which made every curve of her body visible.
She also gave off a very glamorous vibe as she wore a diamond necklace and a pair of long gold earrings.
"Shopia," Anna said in a tone like she couldn't believe it.
Of course, she recognized the woman because they went to the same university, just not in the same genk.
After recovering from the shock, Anna laughed. "As expected of a recently divorced woman, always looking brighter and stunning."
Since she was Amanda's mother, the shareholder of Aura Company, her arrival was not considered strange by those who knew her identity.
They were only surprised that she was dressed so conspicuously because as far as they knew she was a simple, homely woman.
After getting out of the car, she looked around until she stopped at Arthur.
His presence surprised her and she immediately stepped towards him.
"I knew that I would see my future son-in-law here," she said with a gentle smile.
She also looked at Anna and smiled at her. "Hello Mrs. Anna, it's been a long time since we last met, suddenly the years have passed and we are old," she said.
Anna laughed at her words. "If you call yourself old, all the young girls who are not as charming as you will probably cry. Shopia, are you in a very bright mood these days?"
"Bright? Yeah, I guess I'm trying to accept my fate and live a pleasant life," Shopia replied. She understood that Anna was talking about her stunning figure.
"It's just, there's still one thing that pisses me off," she added suddenly.
A curious Anna asked, "what else could upset you if you can even get over your divorce?"
"My two daughters and my future son-in-law are keeping something important a secret from me, keeping me curious," Shopia replied, glancing at Arthur.
When she heard her words, Anna immediately understood.
It was not because she was guessing something, but because she too had a curiosity about one thing from Arthur and the latter kept it a secret.
She thought that what Shopia meant was the same thing. Plus, the woman seemed to see more things so her curiosity was much higher. Otherwise, how she assumed it annoyed her.
Anna looked at Arthur again, smiling strangely at him.
The latter, on the other hand, cleared his throat softly. He said to Shopia, "auntie, I just don't want to disturb your peaceful life if you know more."
"Hmph, but do you realize that it keeps me wondering?" She replied, even snorting softly, something that made her look even more charming as her anger was better described as sweet.
Arthur didn't reply, just stayed silent, pretending not to see Shopia who continued to stare at him with a deep gaze.
"Good, but don't think I'm giving up, I'll keep looking," she said again.
After saying that, she stepped towards the factory.
It seemed that she was curious as to what the inside of the factory looked like so she wanted to take a look.
"Honey!" Anna called out to Arthur while nudging his waist.
"Are you sure you're making your future mother-in-law curious?" she asked.
"You know, when a woman is curious about a man, it means she's not far from falling in love with him. An example is me falling in love with you."
Right after saying that, Anna's eyes suddenly opened wide.
"Or did you do that on purpose to make Shopia fall in love with you too. Honey, it seems I underestimated you all this time, you're not a hungry lion, but a hungry dragon." Anna's breathing quickened as she said that, looking like she was imagining things.
Of course, the original intention was not like that.
At that time, Arthur thought that he would not see Shopia often while the latter would continue to live in her house.
Over time, she would probably forget the things of that day.
Unfortunately, today proved that things did not go according to his plan.
Shopia is determined to find out because her curiosity is high and her style today shows that she is becoming more active as a woman.
'Maybe it's better that I tell her than that things develop in a direction they shouldn't,' Arthur thought.
It's not like he was afraid of doing something like having a special relationship with the mother of his own woman.
The truth was that he wasn't afraid of anything.
However, something like this was better avoided even if fate wanted it to happen.
It's not about being afraid or not, but maintaining the habit of doing things the right way.
Although this is not far from hypocrisy, it does not matter because if everyone showed their true nature, then the world would fall into chaos.
Hypocrisy is sometimes necessary to make things look elegant on the surface.
Of course, at the heart of it all is just the worry of a proverb.
It can be real and it can be not, and unfortunately it comes true more often than not, which is why being cautious is the better option.
Phew!
Arthur let out a soft sigh.
After that, he sent a message to Amanda, telling her to tell her mother because they must have met inside the factory.
He just hoped that Shopia wouldn't make a mess afterward.
He didn't even mind giving her a spell and potions if it could get her to return home to practice magic.
