"You want me to help your Clan by freeing all of them? Are you sure you're worth it?"

Liam's eyes narrowed as he spoke to Claire Orion.

Not only did she want his help but she also wanted him to pay for other Slaves. Basically, she wanted him to purchase more slaves, all of them being from the Orion Clan.

As the direct descendant of the Orion Clan, it was obvious that Claire Orion had some sort of responsibility to her Fallen Clan.

However, Claire Orion was still a slave.

She didn't have any money and merely met Liam just now. It was not as if Liam and Claire were close either.

Until a moment ago she had been skeptical of him. So, what changed?

Liam was not too sure about that, but he could tell that Claire was a little hopeful.

"I am definitely worth it, don't worry about that," Claire Orion said, waving her long hair back in an arrogant manner.

She was still malnourished and weak, yet she started to act pridefully once again. Liam couldn't help but question whether this girl was plain stupid, or just a little foolish.

Maybe she expected a little bit too much from her 'savior' - if one could consider Liam such.

"Is that so? And why should I believe that? I know that I purchased you in order to earn a small fortune from the creation of weapons and armaments, but this purchase was mostly reasoned with you being a direct descendant of the Orion Clan. I have yet to find out what you are actually capable of," Liam pointed out with a small smile on his face.

"Maybe you're not even worth it."

Liam snickered looking at Claire Orion. She stared blankly at him and her ears began to flap wildly. A faint red shade covered her nose, and she began to stare daggers at him.

"I, Claire Orion, am a direct descendant of the Orion Clan, in the possession of the [Transform] Soultrait, and my Ancestral Bloodline Power. How can you even question whether I'm worth a few thousand Arcanium or not?!?" Clair asked, her high-pitched voice slowly rising in volume.

She felt insulted by Liam's remarks and couldn't allow Liam to continue like this.

"Do you even know–...." She started.

"So what?"

"Hmm…?"

"So what if you are in possession of the [Transform] Soultrait? You awoke your Bloodline Power. Congratulations. So what? You were enslaved nonetheless," Liam cut in, his eyes colder than ice.

"You are a slave, MY slave. So, you better get your act together. Don't even think about acting proudly or demanding anything without showing me the result of your actual talent. You look like you have a big mouth, but I doubt that your hands are as dexterous as the nonsense you spout," He added, provoking her intentionally.

A glint formed in his eyes when he watched Claire's response to his provocation. Her face turned dark red, and her cheeks puffed up.

Claire opened her mouth, just to close it a moment later. She opened her mouth three times only to shut it after a few seconds.

"If you provide great results, I might be able to help you a little. But truthfully, I do not really think that you can deliver the results I want," Liam said while shaking his head in disappointment.

"You…"

Claire was fuming in anger. She glared at Liam, ready to pounce at him.

Wasn't Liam overdoing it? Couldn't he be a little nicer?

"...I…I am much stronger than anyone else! My talent will shock you to the core. If you don't believe me, give me a forge to use, Kasld Coal, and Liqla Ore. I will create the best Circleless Weapon you can wish for!!" She screamed, pointing fingers at him.

'Got you!'

Liam tried to hide his smile but that was difficult as he heard Claire's voice traveling off.

"I'll use my Bloodline Power to show him how powerful I am! Material Appraisal will shock this idiot for sure. Maybe he will end up kneeling in front of me…hehehehe"

Liam heard Claire but he couldn't really care less. That idiot lacked some brain cells but that was apparent. However, it was only the result that mattered, not her intelligence.

He was not too sure what the Transformation Soultrait was capable of, but it was what allowed Claire Orion to access her Teraph form more easily. While ordinary members of Were races would rarely be able to access their Teraph form, Claire Orion never had a problem with that.

In fact, she could transform more easily than any member of the were races.

Her Clan, precisely the main family of her clan, was known for being able to transform in their Teraph form easily. However, Claire Orion was fast even then.

Furthermore, she was in a bad condition. That meant, her Soultrait should be weaker than usual, forget about the speed of her Teraph transformation.

Thus, Liam wanted to accept her challenge. He planned to accept her challenge, either way. That was also why he retrieved the Miniature Forge and a bunch of Ores from the Storage Rune.

Channeling Arcane Power inside the Miniature Forge, it expanded in size.

He installed it within a few minutes before he moved some random black coal and Ores procured from the Silverheart Dwarves to Claire Orion.

"Wouldn't it be boring if I were to give you what you want? You should be able to use what your Master gives you rather than demanding something, don't you think so?" Liam snickered.

Claire Orion kept glaring at him but Liam was unfazed by that.

She understood that Liam was right but that didn't mean she liked it.

Nonetheless, there was nothing she could do about it.

Claire accepted her fate and picked up the goods before taking a closer look at the forge. Liam retrieved a bunch of things - basically everything Claire required to start forging - before he focused on observing rather than doing something else.

Claire started to work without too much hesitation. She ignited the fire in the forge and threw both coal and the ores inside. The concentrated ore was heated with the carbon of the black coal to reduce it to its metallic form.

This process also removed the impurities from the ore, such as sulfur, silica, and phosphorus. This process was arduous, but it was nothing compared to the refining process. The metal was cast into bars for further refining and shaping into its final form.

The Forging process of the metal bar involved heating the metal to the perfect temperature to be able to shape the iron without damaging the living veins inside it. This was a difficult process, something even Dwarves usually had problems with. Not all living veins were the same.

In fact, all veins were something unique, just like a fingerprint.

Claire Orion seemed to be a good blacksmith, but her mastery of the reduction process was not exactly something that shocked Liam to the core.

He was slightly surprised that she was so proud of herself even though the reduction process was not exactly something she should be proud of. There was no reason for her to be so arrogant.

'Did I make a mistake? Should I've have gotten a few other slaves instead of her? She was so expensive…'

While Liam complained in his heart, Claire Orion was sweating profusely.

"I am a little rusty…don't look at me like that, you jerk…."

She grit her teeth and increased the effort she put into refining the metal bar.

It was about time for her to show off the true potential of her Bloodline Power [Material Appraisal] and the Soultrait [Transformation].

Her Soultrait did not only accelerate and strengthen her Teraph form. It allowed her to change the shape of objects in her hand with the use of Arcane Power!

This was something Liam didn't know.

He only got to know about it after Claire Orion began to use her Soultrait to shape the metal bar

It felt like the metal bar was slowly turning into liquid. Its shape began to change mythically in Claire's hands. She controlled her Arcane Power precisely and began to sweat profusely two minutes into the shaping process.

Liam watched Claire with slight surprise.

'This girl. Transformation was it? What a powerful Soultrait….'

He stared blankly at the Were Tiger and focused his eyes on the liquid bar, which took on the shape of a small dagger.

At first, Liam was pretty sure that Claire Orion would fail to complete a finished product, but she was actually doing it.

After being enslaved for who knows how long, Claire was still able to use her Soultrait and Bloodline Power with great precision. It took her some effort, a lot of effort to be precise, but she made it work.

Her breathing was rough and her chest heaved up and down heavily.

The dagger was slowly forming in her hands, and a smile blossomed on Liam's face.

He was pretty sure that he made a mistake purchasing Claire Orion after seeing her condition and how prideful she acted.

However, now that he witnessed her Power firsthand, his opinion changed drastically.

'Maybe it was not a mistake…'
