While it seemed like Girland was rather disappointed that she didn’t get the chance to see Eisen in full King’s setup again, Eisen hoped that it wouldn’t influence her work too much. Or his own, really.
Either way, they made their way to the Guild Room and were soon brought up by the floating platform, while Eisen continued trying to adjust his crown a little. It felt somewhat weird wearing it like this, but it made sense that he should if it actually had benefits like it had.
"Yo. Took you a while." Brody complained the moment the group entered the room. He was sitting there on his chair with his feet on the table, while Ruth, the Guild Core Guardian, was currently bringing him some tea to drink.
"Welcome back." Ruth said with a light smile on her face, and Eisen simply made his way over toward his seat, "Nice to see you again, Ruth." The old man said and sat down, although he couldn’t help but notice Brody’s expression as the Demon Orc was staring at Eisen’s crown.
"A real King, eh?" Brody asked with a bit of a laugh, and the old man simply laughed, "Yeah, what about it? It increases the effect of my royal blood. It’s a useful thing to have." He pointed out, and Brody smirked as he took a sip of his tea, "Sure it is."
"I think it doesn’t look that bad." Jyuuk pointed out as his body was slowly turning from wood back into flesh on his chair. He just switched capsules with Stahl apparently, since the young man was just sitting on an extra chair in his ’log-out’ mode.
And then, at last, Xenia also entered the room, being the last of the group to do so. Now, all five of them were here, together with Komer, the Town and Country Core Guardians, as well as the Guild Core Guardian. Like this they would definitely be able to have a good, deep conversation about everything that needed to be discussed.
"So, we’ve seen the videos. Or well, we were watching the live report on the World of Magic channel. Literally everyone saw exactly what happened." Xenia pointed out quickly, as it was clear that this was the main topic of this ’meeting’. Eisen slightly sighed and crossed his arms as he leaned back in his chair.
"Is that so? What kinds of comments did they make on the channel?" The old man inquired.
With a light shrug, Brody finally pulled his feet off the table, "It actually wasn’t as bad as we expected. Sure, there were a lot of complaints about the fact that you killed more than a hundred players instantly, but for the most part, they seemed rather glad that you did. In the end they would’ve just seen all those people get obliterated instantly anyway, which they probably realized, meaning that they were glad they got to have such a good shot of everything unfolding when it came to what you did." He explained.
"It was really damn awesome though. We were watching a video about what exactly happened the night before the ’raid’ as well, with Stahl’s performance. He’s really damn talented, actually." Xenia added, and Eisen simply smiled in response.
"Yeah, he is, isn’t he? I’m glad that everything worked out for him as well. He’s got a proper Demon title now, so that’s something he’s going to be working toward for now." The old man figured, and then turned over toward Komer, who was still feeling a little unsure about whether or not this whole thing was the best way to deal with everything, "But the whole ’show’ still caused a fair few issues, although they were seemingly caused by the rather positive effects I was going for. Komer, go ahead."
And then, the young merchant took the lead. He explained to the others exactly what he had already explained to Eisen before then. About how many people want to get to Prototype, how they need far more ships to actually transport everyone anytime soon, and about how Komer was now taking a break while trying to see if he could help Eisen figure all of this stuff out.
"Hmm..." Jyuuk muttered quietly, "Then that means that Eisen already has an idea about what we should do?" The Monkey-Beastperson asked, before the old man simply nodded his head without a moment’s hesitation.
"Yes, I do. For that, I need to ask Girland something. Am I right to assume that we had a mass amount of warships on the Island belonging to the God of War?" Eisen inquired as he looked at the Country Core Guardian, who didn’t need to think long about this, "Yes, indeed we did. We had enough for multiple fleets of a dozen Warships each, my King." She explained, before Eisen slowly nodded his head.
"Good. Then we can really do it like this. Right now, we’re not faring war against anyone, but even if we do, we’ll have the upper hand either way. I think we can afford taking some of, or even most of, the warships and turning them into passenger ships to transport the people that want to come here to the islands. That’s the biggest issue we have right now, we don’t have all that much manpower."
With a light frown, Brody leaned forward and looked at Eisen, "And how exactly do you want to turn all those warships into passenger ships without having manpower in the first place? Want to do all the work yourself?" The Demon-Orc asked, but Eisen simply shook his head, "Of course I will do some work, but no, I’m not planning on doing it all myself. On top of the island of war to actually get the base warships, we’re also going to head to the Island of the God of Craftsmanship. I’m sure that we’re going to find a fair amount of help there." Eisen pointed out, before Girland quickly explained.
"That is a correct assumption to make. The town on the God of Craftsmanship’s island was one of the largest we had, since it is right next to the island of the God of Trade where our second largest town in general could be found. As on the island of the god of craftsmanship numerous races and beings could be found, whether they were elves, dwarves, titans, golems, special guardian types, or even monsters, there should still be a fair few left over that are capable of helping us with this task. The monsters on that island are rather troublesome, however." Girland explained. Rather curiously, Jyuuk raised his brows and sat up a little more, "Troublesome? How exactly?" He asked.
Without even thinking too long, Girland quickly explained, "Out of control Ego-Items. We were never sure about the creator of them, but somehow there was always a near-to-infinite source of those ego-items rampaging on the town. We managed to narrow the area where they were spreading down a lot using special items, but I assume that work has now been undone."
"Out of control ego-items? Like, ego-items that can move without someone wielding them?" Brody asked with a light frown. And while Brody maybe didn’t, Eisen immediately understood what Girland was speaking about.
He already noticed that his Ego-Rank 5 Sword and especially his Ego-Rank 6 Multitool had an actual mind, preferences, and could even experience things like jealousy, anger or joy. It made sense that there would be some items at maybe Rank 7 or 8 that ended up being raised in a negative manner, or were simply created for this purpose in the first place, to go absolutely mad like that after possibly even changing their bodies into another form. Eisen was actually more than just interested in seeing this all, so he made a suggestion.
"Alright, I think we should go for it and fight together again. It seems like either of those islands could be a bit troublesome if we split up." Eisen pointed out, "Especially for the Island of the god of war. There should be a lot of monsters that are all relatively well organized there. Probably a lot of open fields and terrain that can be used for complex tactics of war. So we should all work together for that, since we’re most likely at a complete disadvantage compared to whoever we can find on that island."
"So, where are we going first?" Kiron asked with a bright smile as he was slowly pushed into the Guild room through the platform in the center of the room. With a light smile on his face, the old man greeted the Crystal Half-Dragon as well as his four squires.
"I suggest heading to the island of craftsmanship first." Girland replied quickly, and Eisen lightly raised his brows, "Really? And why exactly?" He asked. Quickly, the Country Core Guardian explained.
"It’s simple. The main reason you want to take over the island of the god of war at the moment is to get your hands on the warships. But without making sure that you have the means to repair and remodel them, it would be rather risky to go for that island first. It may be a waste of time depending on the state of the god of craftsmanship’s island." Girland pointed out. With a slow nod, Eisen couldn’t really help but agree. He was thinking the same thing in the first place, he just wanted to see if Girland’s reasoning was the same as his own.
"Then it’s settled. We’re heading to the island of the god of Craftsmanship. How far is it away from here right now?" Eisen inquired, and Girland quickly explained, "It should only be a trip of roughly three to four hours depending on your vessel." The Core Guardian said.
Eisen was satisfied with that. He was more than just excited about finding out what those monsters looked like, really.
Either way, this wasn’t all just yet. Eisen still had something else that he wanted to know about right now, "Then for the last thing I wanted to speak about... Girland, do you remember where the gates leading to heaven and hell were?" The old man inquired. And it seemed like Girland didn’t have to think that long about it either, since she quickly nodded her head.
"Yes, of course I do. They are rather close to this island, actually. If you were to fly there, you would reach it in a mere few minutes."
With a deep groan at the fact that Eisen didn’t think of asking the Core Guardians about this yet, Eisen sighed loudly and looked back at Girland.
"Do you remember how to enter them? I doubt just anyone can get through."
"Of course. There are Guards in front of each gate that need to be beaten first. However, it is something that has to be achieved in one against one fight, as only one person may pass the gates at a time. And as it’s not your occupation, you may not even be allowed to have your three monsters help you, or even follow you to either heaven or hell."
