Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1262: The Broken Star Origin Guard

As the 2 of them wanted to avoid major battlefields, they had to take a detour that made their journey hundreds of thousands of miles longer.

As they traveled, Shagn Xia and Hua Yu used all the secret methods they had to look for Kou Chongxue or other True Immortals of the Spirit Thistle World.

It was a shame they failed to get a response.

When they finally completed their detour, they seemed to have reached the other side of the Spirit Tinkle World. Looking at it from afar, Shang Xia couldn’t help but gasp in shock at the scene before him. Hua Yu was no different.

A portion of the heavenly screen of the Spirit Tinkle World was broken, but to be exact, it was completely destroyed with no hope of recovery.

Normally, the heavenly screen would recover with the support of the World’s Will. However, the tear before them wasn’t sealing up at all.

Both of them gasped in shock as they realized that the World’s Will had already been greatly damaged.

The thought flashed through their minds at the exact same time.

It was just… They wondered who had the ability to actually heavily injure the World’s Will before the world was actually defeated. One had to know that a Spirit World at their level would probably possess 20 to 30 True Immortals, and it was extremely difficult to damage the World’s Will before those experts were killed or heavily injured!

As a high-level True Immortal, Shang Xia felt that it was practically impossible for an expert in the Martial Void Realm to do something like that.

There was only 1 more possibility left…

The Star Origin Guards’ grand battle formation!

Without any other idea of how the World’s Will was damaged, his thoughts gravitated to the only way left.

That begged his next question…

Why…?!

What would it take for the Star Origin Guards to unleash their greatest fighting strength on the Spirit Tinkle World?

As for what happened after that… It was clear to Shang Xia who killed Tian Moran. After unleashing the might of a Seventh Order expert, the grand battle formation probably fell apart. The scattered Star Origin Guards naturally became targets of the various worlds.

… The Spirit Tinkle World under the heavenly screen that had been torn apart was revealed, and Shang Xia flew into the crack with Hua Yu despite their many questions. Naturally, their intention was to get as much benefit from the chaotic situation as possible.

Noticing the look of interest that appeared on Hua Yu’s face all of a sudden, Shang Xia muttered a casual reminder, “Anyone who can enter this place are experts of the Martial Extermination Realm or Martial Dipper Realm. True Immortals would usually avoid entering from this obvious tear in the heavenly screen…”

When Hua Yu was taken aback by Shang Xia’s reminder, he carefully looked at the region that was exposed. It wasn’t a place where he could enter to take advantage of the Spirit Tinkle World! It had already been modified into a massive trap! After all, the Spirit Tinkle World was still almost a peak-grade Spirit World. They might be caught off guard or attacked by an alliance of 2 other stronger worlds, but that didn’t mean they were completely helpless.

If a True Immortal were to rush over to the exposed region of land recklessly, they would immediately be focused fired by everyone in the area.

Cultivators in the Marital Extermination Realm and Martial Dipper Realm were ignored when they tried to enter the exposed land in the Spirit Tinkle World as all they would be able to do was plunder some spiritual treasures or herbs. However… If a True Immortal were to enter the Spirit Tinkle World, they would be able to cause widespread damage! They might even possess the power to split up the continents and break the world apart!

Before he could respond, Hua Yu’s eyes suddenly lit up and a look of joy appeared on his face.

Shang Xia noticed the change and asked, “True Immortal Hua, did you manage to locate fellow cultivators of the Spirit Thistle World?”

Hua Yu nodded. “True Immortal Shang, please follow me!”

He turned into a streak of light the next moment and flew in a certain direction.

Shang Xia looked over and discovered Hua Yu wasn’t heading too far away from the tear in the heavenly screen. At the very least, they would be closer to the opening if he followed.

If not for the fact that Kou Chongxue and Yin Jingxu might be with the experts of the Spirit Thistle World, Shang Xia really didn’t wish to take the risk of following Hua Yu.

The arrival of a fourth tier True Immortal and a second tier True Immortal was definitely more than enough to change the situation of any battlefield. They would definitely be noticed by everyone present!

Even though there were many fights taking place, they didn’t mean that there weren’t experts still hiding their strength. They might be dragged into a battle they didn’t wish to take part in on their way over. Under such circumstances, even if they were attacked, they wouldn’t know who the assailants were…

Fortunately for Shang Xia, he had tyrannical strength. He wasn’t afraid of ambushes, and he merely found them annoying. In fact, even if a fifth tier True Immortal were to sneak up on him, they wouldn’t be able to do anything… As he followed Hua Yu, both of them fearlessly approached the tear in the heavenly screen.

As they made their way over, Shang Xia didn’t stop trying to contact Kou Chongxue with the transmission talisman made by the Tongyou Institution.

Even though Hua Yu already received news of his companions, Shang Xia wasn’t one to fully rely on others.

The situation around them became more and more dangerous as battles were happening everywhere. The void around them twisted and churned violently and even experts in the Martial Dipper Realm would be torn to shreds if they weren’t careful. Shang Xia and Hua Yu remained careful so as not to be dragged into any stray spatial currents.

Well… It seemed as though what they were afraid of would come anyway.

Even though they avoided the most obvious battlefields, they ran straight into a hidden spatial vortex that tried dragging them into it.

Shang Xia was able to react instantly to find his footing in space, but Hua Yu was unable to free himself from the pull of the vortex. Shang Xia quickly expanded his domain and severed the effect the vortex had on Hua Yu.

Heaving a sigh of relief, Hua Yu turned to Shang Xia with a grateful expression and gasped, “Many thanks, True Immortal Shang!”

Shang Xia had a solemn expression on his face as he warned, “True Immortal Hua, you shouldn’t be careless… This isn’t over yet.”

Hua Yu’s eyes widened in shock and he turned to look at the spatial vortex. He noticed that it was unable to maintain the pull of energy any longer and was about to explode.

Hua Yu’s expression changed drastically. “Oh no! We need to run!”

The moment a spatial vortex exploded, the entire region would be swallowed in spatial storms. Since they were so close to it, they would definitely suffer the brunt of the blow.

Hua Yu knew that it was impossible for him to withstand the full blast of the spatial vortex, given that he was so close to it. He felt that even if he became fourth tier True Immortal, he wouldn’t be able to leave injury-free if he took the blast head-on.

He retreated dozens of miles instantly, but he discovered Shang Xia standing in place.

“True Immortal Shang…?” Hua Yu called out to Shang Xia in an attempt to warn him.

However, he didn’t finish his warning when he saw a Stone Rod appearing in Shang Xia’s hand.

Holding it firmly, he swung it beneath his feet and a dull blast came from beneath him.

The void around him started to ripple outwards. The spatial vortex that was about to blow was ripped to shreds by the ripples that formed, and the energy it contained dissipated into nothingness.

That was Shang Xia’s fourth move of his Six Harmony Rod Technique, Void Seal!

Hua Yu blinked in disbelief as he watched what happened to the spatial vortex right in front of him.

“True Immortal Shang, this…” Ha wanted to exclaim how amazing it was, but he didn’t manage to say it.

A light flashed through Shang Xia’s eyes that moment as a ray of light flew through the sealed space in his direction. It was the secret transmission talisman made by the Tongyou Institution and he gestured to it, pulling it over. He read the contents in it before looking at Hua Yu who was still at a loss for words. “Let’s go!”

There was only a single sentence in the transmission sent by Kou Chongxue.

“The Spirit Mammoth World, Spirit Abundance World, Azure Star World, Azure Sea World, and Azure Qing World are working together!”

He left behind a trace of his aura that would also guide Shang Xia to him in the transmission.

Shang Xia did the same when sending out his transmission talismans, but from what it seemed, Kou Chongxue didn’t seem to be in a position to be able to meet up with him. He had to make his way over instead.

Hua Yu also noticed that Shang Xia managed to communicate with the True Immortals of his world and from the direction Shang Xia was flying, they were pretty much going the same way. The alliance between the Spirit Luxuriant World and Spirit Thistle World looked intact, and Hua Yu heaved a sigh of relief.

He was flabbergasted by the strength Shang Xia displayed throughout the entire journey. Even though the Spirit Thistle World had 3 high-level True Immortals, of which Hua Yu had met 2, he never felt as much pressure from them as when he was standing in front of Shang Xia.

A terrifying thought flashed through his mind which he didn’t want to believe. He felt that if any fourth tier True Immortal of his world ran into Shang Xia, they wouldn’t be his opponent if they fought a 1 on 1 battle!

With complex emotions running through his mind, he discovered that Shang Xia had stopped moving.

Quickly regaining his senses, Hua Yu prepared to assist Shang Xia in case they ran into any trouble. At the same time, he carefully surveyed the void around them.
