Zayn had heard the word Adel in the world he came from. It was part of an ancient language that had belonged to a long-forgotten nation. He wasn't sure of the exact translation for the word but it was certainly interesting to hear more words from his world in this parallel world.
The word hinted that the ancient languages had been the same in their worlds, or that more people from his old world were being transported to this world, for quite a while at that!
"Reaching the Soul Adel rank means that you are part of mankind's nobility. You will acquire the status of a noble, whether you're a Normie or a Blessed.
The following ranks, they're the Soul Saint rank, the Soul Prince rank, the Soul King rank, and the Soul Emperor rank. A total of ten ranks for nine Soulrings."
Merlin's explanation provided Zayn with a lot of information he had never known before. He was not sure how he had never heard about the Soulring Ranking before but it was certainly interesting. It made things a lot easier for him as well.
Differentiating Adventurers, Normies and Blessed were always a little bothersome. Calling them Soul Squire or Soul Knight according to their Soulring ranking was comparatively much easier.
"Does that mean no one stronger than the Soul Emperor exists, or did mankind just never figure that out?" Zayn asked out of curiosity. He was pretty sure that his question made sense to ask this.
"We've only had one Soul Emperor in the past, though nobody knows where exactly he is. He might be dead or traveling through the wilderness doing something," Merlin answered, not expecting Zayn to be well-versed with the history of mankind's struggle when the Realms Fused, not after Zayn seemed oblivious to the Soulring Ranking.
Merlin started to doubt Zayn's capabilities all of a sudden, but there was not much he could do about it anymore. Now was not the time to doubt Zayn, no matter how stupid some of his questions were.
"I will gather some more information in the next two days before I will depart. It would be best if you were to start the Colosseum's Challenge in three weeks. Try to provoke the managers, but don't overdo it, otherwise, it could get a little bit ugly," He advised and Zayn agreed.
Merlin's reason to not accompanying Zayn to the Colosseum was pretty obvious. Once the Chimera was killed, the merchant family would know that Merlin only had to kill them to complete his mission and regrow his arm.
The merchant family would know that danger was approaching and they would flee. Because the duo wanted to make sure that Merlin could take revenge on the merchant family, he would leave first and start working on his part of the mission.
As for Zayn, he would stay inside the dojo for a while before going out to challenge the Colosseum, killing the Chimera before continuing on his path to becoming the strongest.
Precisely, Zayn was getting more interested in the connection between his old world, this world, and the people who had been transported to this world before him.
He was not sure if the memories of his past were helpful in that regard but he was more than willing to start investigating his past and the connection of the worlds. There was not exactly much else for him to do, either way.
Mindlessly becoming stronger just because he wanted to be respected by the Blessed was not exactly the way forward either.
For now, it was important to become stronger, but he also knew that he had to find a better reason to become stronger and that he was in need of a better goal in life.
Finding out more about the God-like Zayn who brought him to this world, rejuvenated and with fragmented memories, was also quite important. There had to be a credible reason why the God-like Zayn from this world asked for his help, and why he did all of that.
At least that was what he would expect from himself. The news of other people from his old world ending up in this world was new, interesting, and quite exciting. However, it also led to more confusion. Questions popped up in his mind and he began to wonder about various things.
There was also the trouble stirred by all those Gods, the question of whether they were actually Gods like the Blessed worshipped them to be, or if these Gods were just higher beings with more strength and some sort of plan in their mind.
All in all, Zayn had many things to do but he was not yet sure where to begin, and what things were too troublesome. Fighting and becoming stronger was his passion, and it was also quite interesting to collect an army of spirits.
It was important for him to find his passion and the path he wanted to take. After all, he didn't feel like protecting anyone simply because he was all by himself. He was alone with no strings attached so he wanted to exploit this to his benefit!
What made him ponder was how the merchant family got to know the conditions of Merlin's mission. Did their Gods tell them the conditions Merlin had to meet to regrow his arm, or did someone else betray Merlin? Zayn didn't know, and if he was to be honest with himself, there were too many things he didn't understand.
That was also why he let most of these things be. He accepted the information he was provided without any qualms as well.
Zayn didn't know how they knew the content of Merlin's mission in the first place but he was too bogged down by the thoughts so decided to just accept everything regardless.
Merlin went his way after he procured all the necessary information.

"You guys have to get stronger as well!"
