A total of 1100 enemies, of which 100 turned out to be Soul Lord-ranked Berserker Giants.
Facing the enemies on the 8th Floor, Zayn could only sigh deeply.
He knew that a one-star Tower had only 10 floors, but he was couldn't tell how much the difficulty of the challenges would increase from now on.
Maybe, the 9th Floor had 5000 Green Giants and 500 Berserker Giants?
The soul particles they would provide were grand but it was also not without danger. After all, every grand opportunity was riddled with deadly challenges.
Fortunately, Zayn could make use of the wide versatility of his Spirits and their undying spirit to fight until their soul particles were fully used-up while releasing a bunch of arrows accelerated with Aero's gusts, a concentrated Soulblade, and the azure flames of the Bow Artifact.
Combined, every well-targeted arrow was more than enough to severely weaken a Soul Lord-ranked Berserker Giant.
While Zayn's arrows may not be enough to kill a hundred of them, there was no need to be worried. He sends the Aerial Hunters, the Assault Pack, and the Berserk Gigas to kill the 1000 Green Giants within five minutes while stalling time by using Tera's Earth Magic to erupt a huge and thick Earthen wall.
That way, Zayn's 500 Gigas were sacrificed to stall the Berserker Giants and to decimate their numbers by distracting them enough to fall victim to Zayn's arrows.
Once the Army of 500 Gigas and the Earthen Wall had been destroyed, only 70 Berserker Giants were left behind.
Meanwhile, Zayn's Berserk Gigas and the rest of his Spirit Army finished their preparations after they killed the Green Giants.
Zayn stored the Bow Artifact and remaining arrows tightly in the Silvermoon Bracelet's storage. After that, he began to run to the Soul Wisps of the Berserker Giants.
He manifested their Spirits one after another before sending them to attack and kill the colleagues whom they had fought side-by-side less than ten minutes ago.
More Berserk Gigas joined the battle, their wild and reckless combat style slowly but steadily cutting down one Berserker Giant after another.
Zayn was not sure how much time had passed but once everyone was dead, he was very satisfied with the result.
Glutton devoured the dead bodies of the 1000 Green Giants, and Zayn devoured the produced Soul Orbs. He absorbed the ownerless soul particles of the Soul Wisps that didn't leave the proximity yet. On the other hand, the Berserker Giants that had joined the battle only now were welcomed in his Spirit Army.
'Even if I shouldn't increase the number of Spirits in my Army too fast, I cannot leave the Berserker Giants alone. Their combat prowess is simply too exceptional!

[Caution!!! – Sharp Increase in difficulty detected – Champion]
"Champion? Well, what's the worst that can happen? I am already breezing through the Tower like a maniac, a suicidal one at that," Zayn mumbled to himself, clearly understanding that his actions were suicidal.
However, sometimes one had to be suicidal to become stronger.
That was also why he chose to go ahead to the ninth floor.
Just like the floor before, he encountered 1000 Green Giants and a hundred Berserker Giants. But this time, there was also another unit.
A Giant Champion, a Green Giant of eight meters in height.
The Giant Champion wielded a humongous broadsword as well.
While that seemed problematic at first, Zayn didn't really think too much about it.
'Also at the Lord rank. Seems like the Tower AI cannot go higher than the Soul Lord rank since I entered the Tower as a Mid Soul Knight. Seems pretty advantageous to me!'
He sent the Giga Army to the Giant Champion in order to stall time. At the same time, he sent ten Berserker Gigas to take care of the Green Giant Army. Tera helped out a little, but the Earth Magic of Tera was mostly used to support the remaining Berserker Gigas to beat the shit out of the 100 Berserker Giants.
Time passed quickly and Zayn sent the Defense Horde of Boars after the Gigas to stall for a little more time. After all, the Army of 500 Gigas had already been eliminated by the mighty swings of the Giant Champion's humongous broadsword.
Nonetheless, the attacks of the Gigas were not entirely useless. First of all, Zayn's arrows landed clear hits, piercing and burning the vital spots of the Giant Champion before it extinguished the azure flames. Zayn repeated the same attacks over and over again, weakening the Giant Champion.
Afterward, it was only a matter of time before the high number of sheer invincible Spirits ended the Giant Champion, completing the ninth challenge with flying colors.
"Let's resurrect you, my friend!" Zayn shouted before manifesting the Spirit of the Giant Champion.
After that, Zayn felt a bad headache and his entire being seemed to be on the verge of exploding. It was clear that his Spirit Army was getting too powerful and large. Nonetheless, Zayn didn't give up.
He spent the next three weeks absorbing the Soul Orbs and ownerless soul particles of the monsters he killed. He accumulated more than enough soul particles to construct the fourth Soulframe as well.
It was quite shocking but the number of soul particles accumulated in his heart was not a laughing matter.
Zayn was actually not sure how many soul particles he had absorbed. He just knew that it was a massive amount and that it was more than enough to nourish his fourth Soulframe quite a bit.
How crazy was that?!
Spending less than two months inside the Cavern Tower was enough to increase his rank, expand his Spirit Army severalfold, and accumulate enough soul particles to breeze through the Soul Ranks as if they were not worthy of his attention.
It was a bliss, and way too enjoyable to ignore.
He had now 500 Gigas, 236 Berserk Gigas and one Champion Giga. They may be weaker than their physical form because Zayn wasn't able to replicate power with the given soul particles, but they were undying spirits. They didn't have to fear death and could charge at any opponent without fear.
What was there to fear?
