The fire ball flew towards Lucas at a terrifying pace. He chuckled and bent back immediately. The fire ball whizzed past him and flew up the ceiling and blasted exactly above the both of them. Small pieces of concrete crumbled as they came hailing down. They fell on the both of them, but Lucas did not even react.
"Looks like your time is up. Any last words?", Lucas said coldly.
"Wait! If you let me live, I can tell you about The Marquess. She is much more powerful than you think she is. She is an actual aposlte of Apophis! She is the most powerful person, no the most powerful mortal in the world right now. Her power can even rival a god. I will tell you about her. Please let me live..", Meredith begged him.
"Looks like the tides change so quickly when you don't understand who you are going up against. Do you know the difference between the council members over there and me? It is that I don't have that little remorse of killing someone."
Splatter.
Lucas' foot hit the ground. Meredith did not even have a chance to scream. Her arms rested on the ground and her body immobile. The only problem was that it was missing a head, which became a meat paste with Lucas' final blow.
"No! Why did you kill her?". Eva shrieked.
Lucas looked at her coldly. The red gleam intimidated anyone that looked at them, as they shrunk back.
"Now then, with the head gone, the rest of this charade should fall down. Let us get going. I have given all of you way too much time, and you started mistaking my intentions. I have come here to kill a few people. Do not forget that.", Lucas said as he started walking to the nearest wall. He punched hard on the wall as it crumbled.
"Come on.", Lucas said, His fur started fading away as he regained his human form. His shirt and jacket however, were all but forfeit. Lucas took them off and threw them on the ground with frustration.
"Prince gave it to me as a friend. How dare she... forget it.", he mumbled. He started walking through the huge hole that he made. The wall was no longer healing itself.
"Come.", Lucas growled.
"Do you think that-", Praneeth stopped Arthur. "Let us go. We knew what we were getting ourselves into.", he sighed as he walked towards Lucas. Behind him, everyone else quickly followed.
"Who would have thought that the cold hearted Lucas would return again.", Michael said with a low tone.
"What do you mean? I did not for a second even think that he disappeared. He just hid from plain sight.", Arthur, who was next to Michael, commented.
"Are you okay Eva?", Angela went to Eva to comfort her as they were walking.
"Okay? There was so much that I needed to know, and that bastard Lucas took that from me. Now I will never know where my mother's keepsakes are. They are the only memories probably left of her.", Eva said with a dejected tone.
"You didn't care about this for hundreds of years. You see your sister once, and all of a sudden this is your life. Laughable.", Lucas' voice came from the hole.
Eva looked away in response.
"Come on.", Angela held Eva's hand and dragged her. "We still have to go."
They all crossed the crumbling wall as they reneterd the labrynth, But apparently, Lucas was not feeling very patient. They could see one straight path and a hole in every wall for the next twenty meters. Lucas had already broken through all the walls and made a makeshift path for them all.
"That idiot.", Arthur murmured as all the council members slowly walked through this path and reached the outer layer of the labrynth. Lucas was sitting on a broken piece of rock, and was just biting his nails, waiting for them to come.
"What are you doing here? With your impatience, I thought you would be in the third floor already.", Eva sneered.
"Waiting for you. Where is the exit to this place? We are at the entrance. How do I find the staircase to the next floor. I felt like blasting through the ceiling, but why would I do something like that and possibly put myself in the middle of enemy troops.", Lucas said frankly.
"Ah! So even the great Lucas cannot do something without me.", Eva said.
"I didn't say that I couldn't do it without you. The most logical thing was to wait for you. Or I can just do what I just said, and face the consequences. What do you want me to do?", Lucas said.
"Fine. I will need some time. If you let me stay in the central room for a little more time, I would have been able to take control of the entire labrynth, but you were in a hurry."
"Just shut up and do it.", Lucas barked as he turned around and paced.
"What the hell are you tensed about?", Michael asked Lucas.
"The fact that I can barely keep my urge for killing the people who are irritating me so much.", Lucas growled.
"Okay.", Michael gulped as he backed down.
