A spike of cold emotions rolled through the cavern, stemming from Leon and spreading outwards. Even Nedra who was partly mentally connected to Leon was taken aback. She felt the rage, regret, sadness, and hate that had been boiling deep within Leon in the time he had spent in this world.
Although he had taken everything in stride, that did not mean he did not wish things had been different. This world was exotic and fascinating. It was something that captivated his mind whenever he thought of it. But he would have preferred it if he did not experience it from his current position - A skeleton undead.
In truth, if he had the choice, then he would have chosen to be a traveler. He would have explored the world while gaining the strength he needed to protect himself from the dangers that he would need to brave along the way.
But no. Instead, his 'fate' had been thrust into his arms by eager, controlling Gods that did not care about his thoughts. They only cared about their own wishes and needs, and did not mind ruining a person's life to get what they wanted.
Long ago, Leon had made up his mind on what he would do. He would grow stronger. As strong as he could, and then challenge those meddling Gods that saw it fit to dip their fingers in his business.
It was with these emotions that Leon had propelled himself forward, holding himself together where anyone else would have broken down at this point. And now, this spider queen saw it fit to try and take away all his effort? Impossible!
Right there and then, Leon decided that he would kill her and her army, then convert them for his own use! He would show no mercy to anyone who stood in his path!
Fury raged through Leon's Obsidian bones as he stared up at the spider queen. The mana around him raged and turned violent, turning into various shades of greedy, consuming fire that fed on the ambient mana in the atmosphere.
Chills ran through the body of the spider queen as she quickly ordered her army to attack. But Leon did not pay any heed to the other spiders. He thrust the responsibility onto his summons as he bent his legs, poised to jump.
Crack!
Boom!
The ground beneath Leon exploded to smithereens as he turned into a dark blur in the air. Purple mana framed his body, lightening him many times over and making it easier for him to stay afloat. When he started losing momentum, he conjured a platform of wind underneath him and pushed, gaining even more momentum in his forward flight.
In mere seconds, before the spider queen could get over her shock, Leon had appeared before her, a spear with a flaming tip in his grasp.
Whoosh!
The burning spear tore through the air like a hot knife through butter, appearing before the spider queen in the fraction of a second. Her eyes shrunk in fear as she hurriedly threw herself to the side, surprising Leon.
His Curse Eyes skill halved the opponent's stats in half, which meant that she was currently at half of her strength. If this was half of her strength, and she was still able to keep up with him... then did that mean that she was a B rank monster?
Leon's thoughts spun at an unprecedentedly fast pace, but his body did not stop moving for even a second. His spear spun in his grasp as he whirled around to face the spot that the spider queen had dashed to. She had appeared behind him, and two of her front spider legs were poised in a stabbing motion as if to stab him.
Clang!
Sparks showered down below as Leon blocked the attack, forced back in the air. He quickly used wind magic to direct himself toward one of the more sturdy looking stalactite that still hung from the ceiling.
The stone that made up the stalactite jutted out beneath Leon's feet, sending him hurtling back at the spider queen, along with a strong gust of wind. He was like a black and purple shadow as he rapidly exchanged blows with the spider queen.
Down below, Leon's army stood against the army of spiders, constantly fighting. They were heavily outnumbered, but powerful beings like Grokus, Nedra, Kaladin, and Nero managed to keep the line steady. The only point where they had major problems was when confronting the house sized spiders.
As Leon's thoughts ran quickly, he also received updates from Nedra of how the battle was turning out. His mana burned like fuel on fire as he quickly summoned any fallen soldiers, while also summoning the fallen spiders to add to his own army. Slowly, his army grew, but quickly, his mana fell. He was already at fifty percent, and still dropping.
Pop!
A vial of blue mana recovery potion appeared in the air and was quickly gulped down as Leon hung off a stalactite, providing an immediate boost and raising his mana levels back up.
"Time to end this!" He turned to look at the injured spider queen, his eyes glowing with power. Two of her legs had been sheared off, and she had multiple deep gashes all over her abdomen. Two of her eyes were punctured, and blood ran down from the side of her mouth.
"You will pay for this! I will haunt you!" She hissed angrily as he declared.
"You don't need to worry about haunting me. I won't let your soul rest!" Leon grinned and shot forward at her. Purple flames exploded along the length of his spear as he threw it forward. The spear plunged into the spider queen's 'humanoid' abdomen, impaling her to a stalactite and making sure she could not run.
Before she could even think of unlodging herself from the rock, Leon appeared before her, a flaming sword in hand.
Swoosh!
The sword sliced through her neck, instantly burning up her head and ending her life. Her body struggled for a few moments before it stopped struggling, just as Leon quenched the spreading flames.
The spider queen was dead!
