Bang!
When the robbers pulled their triggers, the muzzles of their guns suddenly exploded.
"Ah!" The rubbers screamed and dropped their weapons.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Leon flashed four times and knocked out the remaining robbers, except for the leader with the eyepatch.
"Wh-what?! How? Who are you?!" The one eyed robber stuttered as he stumbled back. He warily eyed Leon who stood over the unconscious form of his gang member.
"Who I am isn't important. What's important is that you messed with the wrong diner." Leon growled and cracked his knuckles.
"FUCK YOU!" The one eyed man raised up his eye patch and revealed a glowing blue gem embedded in his eye socket. A bright light flashed and Leon felt the air around him suddenly turn void, leaving him with nothing to breathe.
'Magic? That looks like a mana crystal... A low grade one...' Leon thought to himself. Unfortunately for the robber, such a measly attack would not shake him. He did not need to breathe, unlike humans.
Tap tap tap...
Leon calmly walked forward under the shaken gaze of the one eyed robber. The man staggered back, his eyepatch falling back over the glowing crystal. With that, the air around Leon returned to normal, but Leon didn't care.
Crack!
A crack resounded through the silent diner as Leon's leg came up and slammed into the side of the man's face, knocking him down to the ground.
"UUUNNNN!" The one eyed man groaned in pain as he held his jaw. It was broken by Leon's kick, but for some reason, he was still conscious even after that.
'He should have been knocked out...' Leon tilted his head. The resistance he had expected to feel was also much higher. 'Did the mana reinforce his bones? That's possible.' Leon shrugged and kicked the man's face again, sending him flying into the wall and finally knocking him out.
"Ah..." It was then that Leon's mind returned to the present. He had been so immersed that he had forgotten that there were others in the diner. But when he turned around, he was surprised to find them all dazed and starry eyed.
"Don't look too shocked." Michael shook his head. "I manipulated their memories. This never happened." He told Leon as he waved his hands around and rearranged the diner. He also placed everyone on their original seats. In mere moments, everything was how it was before.
Michael used his hand to draw a vertical line in the air and a silver portal appeared. "Toss them in here. We can interrogate them later."
Leon did as he said, and when everything was done, they returned to their seats and Michael snapped his fingers, undoing the daze that had captured the people's minds.
"..."
The entire diner was silent until someone spoke.
"Weird... Everyone stopped talking at the same time?" A young lady said and looked around, making eye contact with a few people before turning back to her meal with her boyfriend and continuing their conversation. After her, others also continued.
"Hmm, that was pretty strange." Rowan said, sighing. Leon and Michael didn't speak and only nodded. An hour later, the four of them left the diner after Rowan and Andrew spoke to Megan.
"Alright, let's go." Andrew said as he unlocked his car which was parked in an underground parking lot not far from the diner. Michael and Leon slid into the back while Rowan took the front passenger seat.
"The venue for the show isn't too far from here. Just a twenty minute drive." Andrew smiled back at them from the rear view mirror.
Vroom!
The car drove off into the busy traffic, through a curtain of falling snow.
.
.
"Whoa! Are they models?"
"Handsome!"
"Mister Andrew found two hotties!"
Leon did another pose for the camera with a mental eyeroll. It had already been a few hours and he had already shuffled through a few clothes, taking multiple pictures with each set. In a separate room, Michael was also doing the same thing.
'Are they sure this isn't the real show? I thought we were only supposed to get a couple of pics?!' Leon was irritated. If not for his strong body, he was sure that he would also be exhausted in body and not just in mind.
"Alright, let's wrap it up!" Andrew suddenly appeared with Michael behind him. Michael eyed the cameras around warily and turned his eyes away.
"Let's go out for some lunch, and when we return, we can start prepping for the show." Andrew grinned.
And that was how Leon found himself sitting in front of a nearby food stall and chowing down a hotdog.
It was then...
"Leon, look." Michael tapped Leon on the shoulder and used his head to gesture. Leon turned around and looked at a couple of men who were walking through the area. After searching his memory once, he realized that he had seen them multiple times already, and they had just been circling the area.
"They aren't security. And... there is mana around them." Leon hummed.
"Indeed. I think the move on Andrew and Rowan today was something planned by a big organization around here. The fact that they were using mana means that they aren't playing house, and mean business." Michael shared his opinion.
"You must be right. Meaning that they must be looking for their guys from this morning!" Leon suddenly sprung up and turned to face Michael fully. "We need to wipe out that organization or Megan's Diner, and all the people there will be in danger!"
"We can do something about it, but after we are done with this fashion show." Michael said, sipping on a soda through a straw.
"...You're invested in this, huh?" Leon asked and took his seat, also turning back to his drink.
"Hmm, I find it interesting. Datar has nothing like this." Michael shrugged and turned away.
Ten minutes later, they reentered the building where the show was holding through the back. By now, a lot of people had filled the building, both staff, the crew for the show, the models, and a few fans that had backstage access. Also, a lot of other fans had begun to gather.
Already, those that had seen the two had spread the news with their friends and even more people were ogling them.
"Ah, there you two are! Come, we need to get you ready!" Rowan appeared out of the blue and grabbed hold of the two of them. The man's sudden appearance shocked even Michael for a moment.
Rowan pulled the two of them through a series of winding corridors before they arrived in a large room with mirrors and people.
"Sister, help me get these two ready!" Rowan approached a young girl with blonde hair and handed Michael and Leon over to her.
"Big brother! You just love dumping people on me and vanishing!" The blonde girl huffed angrily.
"Oh, pssh! You love it, don't you?" Rowan winked, laughed, and vanished again.
The blonde girl spun around with her hands on her hips and a mischievous smile on her face. "My name is Bethany, and I will be handling your makeup and hair."
"Nice to meet you?" Leon was confused. Rowan had a sister, and they looked so different. The man had jet black hair, while his sister's blond hair was so light that it was bordering yellow.
'Maybe she dyed it?' Leon thought to himself.
"Alright! Let's get down to work. I need to give you a nice look for the show. You two are the most handsome men I've seen in my life! I'm gonna enjoy this!" Bethany took Leon's and Michael's hands and dragged them to chairs in front of mirrors, then sat them down.
She went to work immediately, although neither of them needed any help with looking good. The only thing she did was spray something on their hair to make it shine more, and then style their hair differently before handing them some clothes for the show.
"So, you'll change clothes throughout the show, multiple times. Hehe, my brother and his friend are really making the most out of this opportunity." Bethany rubbed her hands as she explained a few more things to the two men.
"Okay, I'll leave you two to change now." Bethany finally left while waving her hands cheerily. Meanwhile, the many men in the room were staring at the two new people with envious looks.
'I can't believe they got Miss Bethany's attention!'
This was the thought that ran through all their minds.
