Lightning flashed through the sky and thunder rumbled underneath the flashes. Kaladin's robes flayed about in the strong wind that had been brought about with the storm that he and Grokus had cooked up.
"FOUL DEMON THAT SEEKS MY MASTER! YOUR END HAD COME!!!" Kaladin made a strong declaration that resounded through the battlefield with power. His voice along made the bodies of the combatants below tremble with awe. Even the Demons who were on the opposite side paused as they took in this spectacle that displayed what true power was like.
The battle on the ground paused as bright lights flashed through the sky. The lights pulsed like the beat of a heart, getting faster and faster, before an incredibly loud clap of thunder boomed, deafening even B ranks!
Then the lightning came next.
Like a curtain of water that was being poured down from the heavens, thousands of thick lightning bolts fell from the sky, accurately striking the heads of the Demons within a certain range. Every one of them turned into ashes in the next moment. Whether they were Low B ranks of Peak B ranks did not matter.
What was important, though, was that all this was not even the reason for the spell. In fact, the thousands of lightning bolts were just the residual effects that were generated by the actual spell that Kaladin had cooked up.
BANG!
A powerful clap of lightning rang out just before a lightning bolt that was as thick as five meters struck Garr right on the head.
"ARRGHHH!" The Demonic Undead's scream of pain tore through the claps of thunder to resound through the entire battlefield.
Before the initial giant lightning bolt could vanish, another one struck down, sending Garr spiraling down to the ground. It was followed by another. Then another. And another.
As the rain of lightning bolts continued to fall, the other summons began to prepare their strongest skills. Their goal was simple - Kill Garr before their master was done with his summoning.
Of course, this was not going to be easy. The other Demon powerhouses, seeing as Garr was being suppressed, were shocked. They knew how powerful this being was. He was one of the Undead Kings! The most powerful of them all! He did not get this title from being a vegetable and sitting around all day. He had even undergone a powerup as recent, so his power was at an all time high!
However, even with all this, he was still unable to beat these summons! This was nothing short of ridiculous!
The six other Undead Kings saw that Garr was being beaten down by these powerful beings. They hesitated, their selfishness rearing its head. If they let Garr fall here, then he would no longer hold the position of the most powerful Undead King, which would make it so that they could compete for this position.
The necessity to win this battle eventually won over their greed, though. They all quickly ditched the people they were fighting and rushed to interrupt Leon's summons. Before they got there, though, someone appeared before them.
"Where do you think you are going? Let us play." Grokus opened his arms wide and his teeth were on display, creating a scary image.
He no longer had any role in the upcoming part. His strongest attack had been that spell, which had immobilized Garr. The curse was a multi-pronged one. It weakened his defenses, almost entirely nullified his regeneration, while draining his lifeforce simultaneously. A more powerful attack would require Grokus to move closer, which was quite dangerous at this time. He could be cause in the crossfire of the attacks. His long range attacks were rather middling, and could only compare to the attacks of a High A rank, which was almost completely irrelevant at this time.
However, those attacks would be quite useful if he had to fight against the Undead Kings.
"Do you think you can take us on?" A four meter tall Undead King said as he hovered opposite Grokus. He had two bony horns that curled above his head and red flames burning within his skull. His skull was a bit longer than the average and was also extra large. It fit his body, however. His name was Hanzo.
"What do you think?" Grokus grinned and opened his hands. Two skulls instantly floated up into his hands from his waist.
I suppose it is inevitable, then." Hanzo sighed. He took a step back. "Forgive me, comrades. I must sit this one out. I was never in favor of standing against Leon." He shook his head.
Grokus' eyes widened slightly as he heard this. The other Undead Kings, however, were frozen in shock.
"YOU! I knew you were a coward! You do not deserve your title!" Another Undead King burst out in anger. The flames that brew around him were a silver color. They burned over his pale and dry skin unceasingly.
"Shut up." Hanzo swing his heavy war axe, beheading the Undead King. "I am not a coward. I am the wise one here. I pick my battles wisely. If you think you can withstand the backlash of going against such a being, then be my guest." Hanzo said as the flames around him began to burn hotter. His body was burning up as he casted a sort of delayed teleportation spell. He then turned back to Grokus.
"Please tell your master that I want to hold an audience with him when all this is over." He nodded and vanished with the last flickers of fire.
"Humph! That sly bastard!" The beheaded Undead King's head snorted as it reattached its head to its neck. "I will also retreat. It is not worth it." He turned his face away, as if trying to look righteous.
Now that one person had taken that step, the others were following suit.
"I will do the same."
"It just is not worth it."
"I will be returning with my troops."
One by one, the Undead Kings began to chicken out in front of Grokus. The Undead Orc Shaman could not believe his eyes. He had been expecting to collect a beating from these powerful beings after challenging them. Even with all his power, it was still a stretch to fight these guys that had been around much longer than he could even guess.
Yet, under his excessive posturing, they had all retreated!
