Volume 57 Chapter 5 - Red Dragon Landony Part 3
“Damn it, sh*t. Curses!”
Hegel blurted foul remarks as he ran.
B-boom! Boom!
Fire rounds bombarded the very road he was running on.
“Just what is Weed-hyung thinking, trying to pick a fight here?!”
The more he thought about it, the more insane it seemed.
But, all players in Morata were already mobilized and the Black Lion Guild too was triggered.
Carlise: All Black Lion Guild members attack the dragon on the left alongside Weed-nim.
It was an abrupt order by the guild master.
As soon as they exited the building to join the battle, they saw three Black Dragons in the midst of a merry path of destruction.
All of the Hermes Guild, the assault squad and the dwarves were pouncing on the humongous dragons.
Roam: Roam Guild too, commence an all-out attack. Do not lose.
Sherwood: We will also fight with our pride.
Gunt: The dragon will die by our hands. Warriors, raise your swords!
Mihel: Today we will slay the dragon and begin a new page in history!
The major lords themselves with weapons sprinted towards the dragons.
The battle waged hazily.
A sense of urgency that could scorch everything in existence grew among them.
The other prestigious guilds were mocked for years because of the Hermes Guild. They bided their time, allowed themselves to be insulted and blamed themselves.
Weed ultimately had stimulated competition.
If the Hermes Guild slays the dragon, they will accomplish the greatest combat achievement.
To be thinking about just Hermes Guild, have you forgotten our contribution to the Arpen Empire?
I sure do, but the players look up to the Hermes Guild even now. Oh how powerful they are. This world is always about competition, isn’t it?
K-ugh. We will advance as well.
The prestigious guilds. It was now impossible to allow their greatest enemy, the Hermes Guild, to go rampant so freely.
“But why?”
The bottom feeders in the guild like Hegel did not know the reason and just had to blend with the crowd.
“I’ll get a head start.”
“Nide!’
In his vision was thief Nide hopping over the fences and debris like in a movie.
“What good is a thief going to do in battle…”
As the ridicule went on, three daggers from Nide’s hand stuck into the dragon’s body.
Nide climbed on the rope attached to the ends of the daggers and traversed to the dragon.
“Damn. I’d say I’m one of the strong ones, but these guys are just monsters.”
Hegel just kept on running with his sword in hand.
The streets of Morata were demolished and scarred, remnants of buildings scattered over the earth.
“Get out of the way. Move!”
The wounded players crawled to make way for others to fight the dragon.
The closer he got, the higher he had to lift his head to see the dark figure of the dragon high up in the sky.
“It’s too big.”
Hegel was intimidated. It looked like the players of each guild were already crowded near the dragon and no room for him to shine.
“Then… Whatever!”
Hegel ran hoping to do at least something.
The dragon’s obsidian leg was unfortunately coming down to stomp him.
You’re in danger. Grab the rope!
Where is the rope…
Whip!
The rope wrapped around his waist and yanked him into the air.
“Ugh. I have acrophobia…”
Hegel complained, oblivious to the fact that he was almost killed a moment ago. Then he met eyes with the dark waving eyes
Kaybern!
Hegel’s floating body had been lifted to the face of the Black Dragon.
“What the heck… Huh?!”
Pat.
Hegel mindlessly landed on the nose of the dragon.
“Nide, you crazy bastard! Why here of all places!”
***
“What’s he doing over there?”
Weed caught a glance of Hegel sitting on the dragon’s nose and swinging his sword.
Hegel lacked the swordsmanship and the equipment to cut through the dragon’s thick scale.
“Sword of Taran!”
It was funny to see him swinging in a flounder but doing his best, and this display boosted incredible courage in the other players.
“Even that coward Hegel is fighting.”
“That punk. To climb up there… Is he a genius or out of his mind?”
“Just wait. We’re climbing too!”
It was the moment where the fear dwelling inside the players was completely erased.
The Black Lion Guild and the other guilds took control of the ground and opened a path for the dwarves to climb.
“The humans are assisting us. Let’s go, Einhand.”
“I’m Brockhand from the Rock Liquor Storage, you damn dragon!”
“The shining axe of Letonya, Pavahand is here!”
- Dwarves, how dare you lowly pests make way to this place!
Kaybern was enraged, but the dwarves with their stubbed legs repressed their fear and scurried over.
[Dwarf Pavahand activated the Earth Trembling Call.
Endurance is enhanced.
Movement speed is increased by 20%.
All elemental resistances are enhanced.
When near other dwarves, defense-enhancing effects multiply.]
Each and every dwarf was hero level!
They began thrusting their spears and hacking with their axes.
Some were kicked while climbing the legs or flung off the tail.
- Provide healing and blessings to the wounded dwarves.
- Understood!
Weed asked Irene who led the priest unit. From then on, light waves of healing and blessings sparked on every dwarf.
“As I predicted.”
He confirmed that the three dragons were completely swept up in the raging tides of battle.
People thought of competition as something exhausting, but then there was nothing like it that drove them to such exhilaration.
‘Now, I can’t just leave the Hermes Guild to sweep this dragon hunt into their pocket.’
It was time for Weed to step in.
It wasn’t enough to leave the dragon hunt to the dwarves and the guilds.
“Sculptural Destruction! All shall become power!”
Weed converted all his Art points into Strength and shouted.
Just for this battle, he destroyed one of his masterpieces.
“I am Weedhand!”
Kaybern’s clone reacted immediately to Weed.
- You rat! So that is where you were hiding!
In such a dire situation, it still wanted revenge for the robbery of its lair.
- Imprisoning Fire!
Boiling heat surged from deep in the earth.
“Aggh!”
“It’s fire. Dodge it!”
The players of the Loam Guild scrambled. Weed tread over the ocean of fire and picked up a spear on the ground. It was a decent spear dropped by someone in the Loam Guild.
“Spear Throw!”
It was a Novice level 9 spear throw.
“K-agh!”
Hegel hurriedly crouched and avoided the projectile.
It targeted Kaybern’s head but bounced off the dragon’s forehead.
- Worthless dwarf!
Though it didn’t inflict any damage, it sure brought on the dragon’s wrath.
- I swear I will butcher you like a swine.
Kaybern began charging at Weed, ignoring all the players on the ground.
Hegel too in that moment held onto Nide’s ropes, hopped off the nose and was rescued.
- Binds of Pain!
[You are suffering from curse magic.
Fighting Spirit endures the pain.
Health points decrease by 5,400 each second.
The Lightning Crown resists the rooted status.]
This time, the rooting spell was used first so he couldn’t escape.
The dark aura grasped his ankles and legs, but the Lightning Crown negated it.
- Arcane Blast!
Dozens of light rays rained down from Kaybern’s body.
It was unidentified, but a magic spell of great altitude!
“Four-legged Sprint.”
Weed kicked off the building and threw his entire body.
C-c-c-c-crash!
As the roads and buildings got destroyed in a wreck, he travelled through the dimensional gate and avoided the spell successfully.
He couldn’t prevent some attacks but they were deflected by the passive barrier of the Lightning Crown.
“Is this it? This is so mild for a dragon. Maybe you’re the weakest dragon of them all!”
Trash talking every chance he got was essential!
- Kraagh! You will never be forgiven.
Kaybern’s chase shook the earth.
‘A dragon does not carry out an efficient battle. It cannot bear the presence of something that angers it.’
The circumstance was different from when he was dangerously luring the dragon alone.
The dragon was under the attack of the dwarves and other players during its frustrated chase.
“Come at me, you smoked mutt!”
- Hell Fire!
The ultimate fire magic spell. The ground fissured, giving way to raging strands of fire.
The thirst for vengeance seemed so great, having to use an ultimate spell that consumes a huge deal of mana.
‘I can deal with that.’
Weed possessed high magic resistance, holy fire and the Goblet of Flames.
The fire type spells that Kaybern liked to use were most comfortable for him. He suffered little to no damage.
‘Still, it isn’t so dumb because it’s a dragon. It does not repeat a fire magic spell. In any case, I have no time to poke around.’
Weed passed through the dimensional gate and pulled out an axe from behind his back.

Weed held the most awesome weapon crafted by the dwarves and their sacrifice.
“I will crush you into pieces.”
Stomp-stomp-stomp!
Kaybern too approached with its jaws stuck out.
- I will swallow you down at once!
Weed saw Kaybern in proximity and leapt into the air.
“Basher!”
It was the most common axe skill.
Devastating strike!
A force that could change the terrains has been inflicted on the enemy.
Strike of vengeance!

The dragon was capable of ignoring just about any attack and could kick or bite an enemy.
Weed’s axe pounded the dragon’s head and forced it back.
- I will kill you! I will make sure of it!
Kaybern cried vengefully right in front of him.
Weed smiled brightly.
“Now we’re talking!”
