Chapter 64: Last Day Off
When Mom said, I had an arrangement with someone. I thought it was with Dean or Amari, not Kayda. I mean, I see her every few hours each day. Why was there an arrangement made for us?
“I heard what is going to happen to you for the next 8 months, so I decided to use my request on your last day,” Kayda said, bringing me out my thoughts.
“Okay?” I said, confused.
When I said, she could have a request. I thought she would ask me to help her in the future with something. This was the last thing I thought she would use it for. Hell, even telling me to get revenge on her clan was above this.
Shopping.
Fucken shopping. That is her request. What a waste, in my opinion, but on the other hand, if she didn’t use it, I would have declined her without a second thought.
Well, anyway, it’s been some time since Kayda made her request, and now we are sitting in some restaurant in the Middle South district.
“Tell me again, why did we come to the south district while we live in the north.”
.....
“I wanted to explore the capital a bit.”
“Explore? I don’t even know which way is back home, and you want to make me explore?” I said, frustrated.
“Yes, it will train your sense of directing,” Kayda said, winking at me.
“Tsk, what sense of direction,” I said, looking away.
“Ha-ha, precisely,” Kayda said, laughing.
“Whatever, where are we going after this?” I ask, putting my plate on the pile making space for another plate.
“I would like to say explore, but I need new clothes and a dress for the banquet at the end of the month.”
“You’re also going to the banquet?” I ask, a bit surprised.
“Yes, I was invited as well. I might not be a noble of this kingdom, but I am a pure dragon.” Kayda explains while making space for her own food.
“So, you’re like an asset they want to please so you could help them out when needed.”
“Pretty much. Politics are such a drag.”
“Speaking of politics, how much do you know about the current king?”
“Hmm, well, if he is anything like his parents, I don’t think you need to worry about him being two-faced. his parents were quite straightforward.”
“I see, oh and another thing, where does he get his naming sense,” I said.
“Oh, that is from his mother.”
“Ha-ha, it really runs in the family, huh.”
“Do you want more?” Kayda asks, seeing me finish my last plate.
“No, I am done,” I said, shaking my head.
“Hehe, I kind of forgot you’re a big eater just like me,” Kayda said awkwardly, looking at the mountain of plates on our table.
“I am a fox eating is a hobby,” I said sarcastically.
“Is that your only hobby?” Kayda asks, tilting her head at me.
“No, I have more,” I said, smiling at her.
“Oh, and what may they be.”
“I am not telling a blabbermouth.”
“I am not a blabbermouth!” Kayda said, pouting.
“You are, and you know it.”
“... anyways, I guess we need to go pay for the food,” Kayda said, changing the subject.
“I guess we are splitting,” I said, making Kayda look down, embarrassed. “Don’t worry about it. I understand you save most of your money for your research.”
“Thank you and sorry.”
“As I said, don’t worry about it,” I said, giving her a stack of coins.
“I will go give them the money. You can wait outside,” Kayda said, standing up and walking away.
“Will do,” I said, going outside.
It wasn’t long before Kayda came out as well. Looking at her, I ask. “We got breakfast. Clothes or exploring?”
“Exploring, I guess.” She said while walking in a random direction.
“You really did this on a whim, didn’t you?” I said, walking next to her.
“Yeah, we can explore for a while learning the involvement get my clothes. Then we can play one of my favourite games from my childhood.”
“What childhood? Aren’t you still a dragon child?” I said, smirking at her.
“No, I am not anymore.” She said, grinning back while pointing at her wings.
“What? You only have those wings for like 5 days. That doesn’t mean you passed your childhood and is an adult now.”
“Yes, it does, and don’t talk back to your elders, young missy,” Kayda said, narrowing her eyes at me.
“ha-ha, elder my ass. We are almost the same age, miss sage.” I said, laughing at her.
“How are we almost the same age? You are only 13 years old?” Kayda asks, confused.
“Remember reincarnated. I was 17 in my previous life. So, add that to 8, seeing as I only woke up when I was 5 years old. Makes me 25. see only 10 years apart. that’s not enough to make you my elder.” I explain, smirking at her.
“25, huh? But you are still younger than me.” Kayda said, grinning.
“Yeah, of course... Oh, that smells so good.” I said, smelling something juicy suddenly. Looking around, I saw a stand not so far away from us that was selling kababs.
“What, we just ate.”
“So that kababs smells so juicy,” I said, walking towards the stand.
“Sigh, whatever,” Kayda said while following behind me.
“Mm, these things are as good as it smells,” I said, smiling happily while holding 5 kababs in my hand.
“I can’t believe you can still eat after our breakfast.”
“Ha-ha, Kayda, let me tell you something. I am always hungry.” I said, grinning.
“Like really you never get full?”
“In a way, I do, but it doesn’t last very long. I think it has something to do with my race,” I said, shrugging while taking another bite of meat.
“Probably because of your immortality.”
“I might be immortal, but that doesn’t mean I am unkillable. But then again, my race literally screams power. So, it shouldn’t be a problem for me to get strong enough to protect myself. Then again, I don’t know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.”
“Hmm, that’s true. If you have enough power and become a god, you will literally be immortal in body and soul.”
“And get bored over time.”
“That is true.”
“I guess I would need to find a wife that can live long with me.” I joked, taking the last bite of my kabab.
“Hehe, that’s true, isn’t it,” Kayda said, laughing awkwardly.
“Seeing as you’re a dragon, you should also get someone with a long-life span. Hmm, I have an idea why don’t we be each other wing woman. I can help you get a good guy to marry while you can help me get a good girl and a cute one. I think we will be great friends into the future, Kayda.” I said, smiling.
“Is that so,” Kayda said, releasing a black area.
“You okay there?” I ask, making some distance between us.
“You know what, let’s go get me some clothes,” Kayda said, taking me by the cooler and walking away, dragging me behind her.
“What, no wait, wait. Let’s explore some more. I want to explore,” I said, pleading while being dragged away.
Clothing store one.
‘That wasn’t bad. The clothes Kayda was wearing looked so good on her.’
Clothing store two.
‘Man, that one outfit looked so sexy. Then again, most clothes do when she wears it.’
Clothing store three.
‘I wonder how many sets of clothes she wants. Isn’t she spending a bit too much money at the moment? What about her research.’
Clothing store four.
.....
‘Is she even think about the future at this point.’
Clothing store five.
“What do you think?” Kayda asks, walking out of the changing room wearing a long white dress.
The dress she was wearing at the moment was sleeveless but had an x pattern strap going over the shoulder. Going down the dress from under her right hip, one part of the dress exposing her long slender leg. The rest of the dress showed how well-figured Kayda really was and her B cups.
“Uhm, I actually don’t have any words to describe you right now,” I said, holding my nose.
“You think I can wear this to the banquet.”
“probably, but do you even have enough money to pay for this?” I ask, remembering that 30% of my dimension storage clothes already and that not mine included.
“I think I do,” Kayda said, walking to her bag next to me. Rambling inside it for a while, Kayda froze and dropped to her knees.
“Kayda, you okay?’ I ask the down Kayda next to me.
“I... I spent all my money,” Kayda said, depressed.
“I thought so. Get out of that dress. I will pay for this one so you can wear it to the banquet.” I said, standing up.
“Huh? You’re going to buy me this dress?” Kayda ask me.
“Yeah, you look good in that dress, and I would like you to have it on that night,” I said, a bit embarrassed.
“...” Not saying anything, Kayda stood up and walked to the changing room.
‘What a weird dragon.’ I thought, looking at Kayda closing the door behind her.
“KYAAA!?” Kayda yelled just when I was about to walk away.
“Kayda, are you okay,” I said, walking to the changing room opening the door.
“Eh?” Kayda exclaims, looking at me confused.
“Why did you scream... like... that?” I said, looking down at her naked body. Holding my nose for the 100th time today, I said. “Man, I thought you only had B cups like me, but those are definitely C-cups.”
“Get out, you pervert!?’ Kayda said, kicking me in the stomach sending me flying.
“Ugh, that kind of hurt,” I said, standing up from the pile of mannequins.
“Are you okay?” The store clerk asks me.
“Yeah, I am fine, sorry for destroying the mannequins,” I said, smiling at her.
“It’s fine, don’t worry about it.” She said, blushing a bit.
Seeing her blush, I realized something making me frown and looked back at the changing room where Kayda was in.
“Wait, didn’t? Don’t tell me my far fetch idea was right about her. No, no, there is no way Mom said the truth back then,” I said, frowning even deeper. sighing, I shook my head, mumbling. “There is only one way to know if it’s true.”
Not long after, Kayda and I walked out of the clothing store.
Looking at Kayda, I saw that her face was a bit flushed.
‘I wonder how she will react.’ I thought.
“Hey, Kayda...”
