Chapter 90:
“If it isn’t the lady of the hour,” Zagan said sarcastically from the mansion entrance seeing me walking through the door.
“Oh, seeing me off with Amari,” I said, walking up to them.
“We aren’t here only for that. We wanted to see what you are going to do about this.” Amari said with a mocking smirk turning around looking at the front yard where Mother and I had our fight.
“Hehe, yeah, I actually don’t know what to do,” I said, looking at the yard with a stiff expression. The main gate was destroyed and bents at multiple places where I was sent flying into it. The garden we had at the front is frozen over with craters here and there, probably where I landed every time I was sent flying. Sadly, I didn’t even send my mom flying once while she did it like 30 times to me.
The driveway into the mansion had the worst because it was the flattest surface. This is where most of the fight took place. There were multiple places where I saw marks on the ground made by the odachi’s I made. There were even some swords still stuck in the ground.
“Wait, how did I make so many swords and used Flash step the entire time. I don’t have enough mana for something like that.” I said, walking down the stairs to the close’s sword stuck in the ground.
“What do you mean. before you could make hundreds before running out.” Zagan said.
“Yeah, but they weren’t made like these. you remember, the more mana I put in, the harder they become,” I said, getting a nod from him. “Well, these aren’t like that. They are made of layers of ice onto each other.”
.....
“Oh, something like the weapon folding I told you about in the past.”
Yes, but it’s not as good, of course. I might need to ask Steve about it when I meet him, back to the main topic. I used a lot of mana to make one layer, so I should only be able to create 10 or 20 maxes if I was busy fighting. that should have been the max, but I see and feel about 30 weapons laying around.”
“Oh, so you used less mana than you thought you did.”
“I don’t know. I didn’t try making one yet,” I said, reaching out my hand, I made a scythe with the blade being 1,4 meters long, and the handle was 1.8 meters before checking my stats.
Name: Kitsuna Draig (Shiro Adachi)

“51 mana missing. It seems I became broken somehow. make one close to the strength used to cost me about 150.” I said, spinning the scythe around.
“That’s a good improvement, but can you fix the front yard. We need to leave. You already delayed our departure by 2 days. we need to leave if we are going to visit all the places you might want to.” Kayda suddenly said from behind.
“Yes, ma’am,” I said, putting the scythe into my storage. Using flash step, I picked up all the weapons before ending up next to Kayda again.
“Do you have a plan to fix it?” Kayda said, looking up at me.
“Not really. I thought about redesigning the front. Oh, I got it.” I said with a bright smile before crouching down putting my hands on the ground. “Enjoy the show.”
South district 3rd circle.
“So, what did you do this morning?” Kayda asked while we were walking towards the exit.
“Uhm had someone to interrogate and someone to kill,” I said, smiling happily to myself.
“I see the Furry dead then,” Kayda said, a bit disappointed.
“Yeah, and starving for the last 2 days kind of broke both of them anyway. Sorry, I should have told you I was going to kill the Furry,” I said, chuckling.
“Nah, it’s fine. I have seen my fair share of people who I dislike die,” Kayda said, waving her hand.
“How did you feel after they died?” I asked, tilting my head.
“Hmm, happy and empty at the same time. I was glad they died, but in the end, it meant nothing.”
“Oh, so it’s nothing weird, sigh,” I said, sighing in relief.
“Why?” Kayda said, looking at me confused.
“Well, that’s how I felt when I killed him. I was happy he was gone, but in the end, nothing changed.” I explain, shrugging.
“Oh, is that so.”
“Ladies, not to pry too deep, but please don’t talk about killing people so openly.” A man suddenly said from the side.
“Why not? That might be our work,” I said, looking at the man that was wearing a Duke Boei Knight uniform, who stiffen at my reply.
“Nova, you’re making it worse,” Kayda said, facepalming.
“What is he going to do? It’s not like he has any right to arrest us at this point.” I said, looking back at Kayda, shrugging.
“Grr.” All I could hear from the knight was him gashing his teeth together.
“Just shut up. You, mister knight, just ignore this idiot fox. we are leaving the capital anyways.” Kayda said, grabbing my hand before walking towards the south gate faster.
“Bye-bye,” I said, smiling at the knight.
“Bitch.” The knight yelled, flipping me off making me laugh.
(South District Exit)
“Ooh yeah, why are we going to the south?” I asked just when we walked out of the gate.
“I wanted to do an inspection of the Anabald territory. They have been quiet for a while, and the head of the house is missing.” Kayda explains, letting go of my hand.
“Missing, I thought she was out on see,” I said, remembering what mother told me.
“Yeah, that’s just a cover-up. Something is going on there, and I think you will be a great help with their problem.” Kayda said with a smirk.
“Oooh, is that so. Is it because I am a demon?” I said, looking back at her, confused.
“No, the church hates demons, and that includes the Anabald. if they see you making a mess of them, then they will be more open to going after you in the tournament.” Kayda explains, making me nod in understanding.
“that’s good and all, but will we make it to their territory and to ours in 6 months.”
“that is only if you use the normal traveling methods,” Kayda said, gesturing towards the forest close by.
“Oh, you want us to use those forms,” I said, hitting my fist in each other.
“Us? No, you,” Kayda said, pointing at me.
“What about you then,” I said, tilting my head confuse before it dawns on me. “No, you’re not riding me.”
“Oh, come on. It’s way easier and has way less hassle involved. If I use mine, I will need to be in the air not to scare people. If we use yours in your smallest fox form, you will look like my contract beast.” Kayda explains with an innocent face.
“You want me to act as your contract beast! Hell no! Not happening!” I said, shaking my head vigorously.
“Oh, come on, I even got you a collar,” Kayda said, taking white chains out of the backpacking pack.
“No, not happening,” I said, crossing my arms.
“I even bought one that will fit with your fur collors,” Kayda said, pouting.
‘Shit.’
(Draig mansion, Dan POV)
When I heard that Stacy Draig has some crucial information, I didn’t waste time coming to their mansion. That is where I just arrived, and damn was I surprised to see their new entrance. I have heard about them making some reservations, but this is on another level. They even themed it for their daughter.
The gate didn’t change much it only changed from black to white. The path from the gate up to the main entrance was also white. One of the many things that changed was at the side of the path was a small wall about 50 cm high and was 60 cm wide that had 1-meter-tall foxes every 3 meters on it in various positions. Some were sitting. Some seem to be running, and so on. Each and everyone looked different as well. They also defer in the number of tails.
Next to the walls were white bushes, or I thought, but it seems to be artificial plants seeing that they weren’t moving at all. This was all leading up to the main entrance where a new fountain was put up with 2 dragons in it putting their heads together.
“That is so cute. we should ask who did their pathway before we start with the business.” My mother said from next to me.
“Will do, mother,” I said, nodding. Driving up to the main entrance, I saw Dean Draig and Stacy Draig come out looking at us before their face drain of blood seeing the pathway.
“She didn’t do what I think she did, she,” Dean said, looking at his wife, who had a complicated expression on it.
“Good afternoon. I came as fast as I could to hear this news you have for me, Lady Stacy.” I said, climbing out of our car after helping my mother out as well.
“Yeah, just give me a second,” Stacy said, looking through their new entrance.
“To think she would make all of them just foxes and dragons. Where are the cats!” Stacy said with annoyance.
.....
“Oh, are you talking about the person who made your new entrance? It looks beautiful. Might I know who made it?” Mother asked, walking close to Stacy.
“Yeah, sure, it was our daughter. she made it out of her ice, and Kayda probably helped with the mana consumption,” Stacy said, shaking her head.
“Oh, that...” Mother could only trail of hearing this.
“No, why would she do that without our permission. I better ground her when she comes back.” Dean said, getting angry.
“We told her to fix it not. How to fix it. Damn cunning fox.” Stacy said, gritting her teeth.
“Bwahahahaha” Hearing their conversation, I could only laugh of my ass, hearing it’s not only me who suffers from their daughters’ actions.
