“Where am I?”

Milton Cheney asked again, staring intently into Jacob’s eyes as he spoke, his Spiritual Eye also scanning Jacob’s body.

“Lord, this is Collins Mining Area, a territory of Collins Wizard Academy.”

Upon hearing this, Milton sighed and shook his head, “You’re not being truthful. I have no choice but to get rid of you. Get going.”

With that, he seized Jacob’s neck with his right hand, his gaze still as an ancient well.

Under the scan of the Spiritual Eye, the inside of Jacob’s body was vividly imprinted in Milton’s mind.

Most people’s heartbeat speeds up when they lie.

Perhaps some wizards can lie without leaving a trace, but Jacob was clearly incapable of doing so.

Just like an unconventional lie detector, Milton naturally detected Jacob’s lie the moment he tried to deceive him.

Jacob’s pupils dilated, as he frantically shook his head.

“Give… give me one more chance!” Milton feigned contemplation, then nodded. “This is your last chance. I hope you seize it.” Jacob nodded frantically as if he resigned to his fate.

“Where are we exactly, in relation to the entire continent?”

“This is the Violet Wizard Continent, a section of the Corner Sea that’s part of the Level 2 Wizard Continent. This mining area is the Collins Mining Area, belonging to the ‘Nature Church’ wizard organization. It’s located in the southern part of Violet Continent, surrounded by six cities; Curved Corner City, Golden Chalice City, Collins City..

A flicker of surprise crossed Milton’s eyes, but it quickly vanished.

Indeed, this was not the familiar Subcontinent that he knew, but an actual Wizard Continent.

If Milton had previously harbored doubts, now he was certain.

Because under the scan of the Spiritual Eye, he knew Jacob wasn’t lying.

Though he hadn’t heard of the Corner Sea or the Violet Wizard Continent before.

Yet, Milton understood that this was not the Wizard Continent closest to the Subcontinent he used to be.

“Explain what is meant by ‘Level 2 Wizard Continent’, and also elaborate more about the Corner Sea.”

Confusion appeared in Jacob’s eyes. He was surprised that Milton was even asking him these basic questions.

Was he going to kill him just because of these easy questions? How unlucky can he be?

Jacob was on the verge of tears, but replied faithfully, “A ‘Level 2 Wizard

Continent’ means that the ruler of the continent is a Level 2 Wizard. The Corner Sea is made up of four Wizard Continents, with three being Level 2 and one being Level 3.”

“Where is the Corner Sea?”

“Where is the Corner Sea?”

Upon hearing this question, Jacob was baffled.

He truly didn’t know, so all he could do was say, “Lord, I genuinely don’t know. I only know the Corner Sea is just the Corner Sea, it has been called that since ancient times.”

Milton, with his Spiritual Eye activated, knew that Jacob wasn’t lying, so he switched to another question.

“Who is the ruler of the Violet Continent?”

“The ruler of the Violet Continent is the Level 2 Wizard, Lord Lyle Simpson. He is rumored to be the representative sent to the Violet Continent by the ‘Pure Yellow Tower’. As for more specifics, I am not privy to them.”

Jacob spoke quickly, his only hope at this moment was that Milton would spare his life after he answered all these questions. He dared not lie anymore.

“The Pure Yellow Tower?”

Milton was taken aback.

This name wasn’t unknown to him.

It had appeared once in a simulation a long way back. (Refer to ‘Chapter

Thirty-Two’)

“Yes, the Pure Yellow Tower is famous throughout the Wizard Realm. It is said that the tower master is a Level 5 Grand Wizard who has conquered an entire plane! The Violet Continent also has a ‘Pure Yellow Tower’ Academy, though it’s a branch school established by Lord Lyle.”

As he spoke, Jacob’s eyes were filled with fanaticism and desire.

Milton nodded, then continued asking questions.

From ordinary to obscure questions, as long as Jacob knew the answer, he didn’t lie but shared everything with Milton. This included details about himself.

“Any more questions?”

Jacob looked at Milton, a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

Milton shook his head indicating there were no more questions.

Jacob let out a sigh of relief, a hint of resentment flickering in his eyes, but he hid it well.

However, hiding it well was futile, as Milton had never intended to spare him.

“Crack! ”

A crisp sound of shattering bones was heard. Jacob’s neck was strangled and broken by Milton.

Even at the moment of his death, he couldn’t believe that Milton dared to actually kill him here.

So even in death, he died with his eyes wide open in disbelief.

Unfortunately, he didn’t think about it. Anyone who was asked so many questions would suspect something was wrong, how could Milton possibly spare him?

Milton picked up Jacob’s corpse and entered the abandoned tunnel he had originally emerged from.

Then he began to slowly head deeper into the mine.

Of course, he couldn’t just leave the body there. The later the body was discovered, the better advantage it gave him.

Milton didn’t intend to stay in this mine field.

However, getting out of here wasn’t easy either. This mining area was like a large prison. Unless you were one of the ‘workers’, it was very hard to leave.

But of course, Milton had a way.

Milton removed Jacob’s clothes and put them on himself.

No wonder Jacob didn’t suspect Milton’s identity when he first came out of the mine – his clothes were rotten and riddled with holes.

He looked more like a miner than the miners themselves.

Once he had changed, Milton’s body and facial bones began to wriggle, eventually taking on the same appearance as Jacob.

Up close, anyone would notice that his skin looked healthier than Jacob’s.

Both him and Jacob had golden hair, hence Milton was considering ‘changing identities’ since the moment he started questioning Jacob.

If Jacob were alive now, he would undoubtedly regret this. Milton never intended to let him live from the beginning.

Even the questions about him were asked to better impersonate him.

Picking up the Thorny Whip that originally belonged to Jacob, Milton gave it a test swing.

The Lionheart Sword had been lost, and this whip now temporarily served as his weapon.

Fortunately, the most critical Spatial Key was still in his Spiritual Sea.

If the Spatial Key had been lost, Milton would truly have nowhere left to cry.

Milton found a deeper pit in the mine and threw Jacob in, burying his body under a pile of boulders.

After completely covering up the deep pit, Milton dusted himself off and emerged from the tunnel.

No one would typically come to this tunnel, so Jacob’s body would probably never see the light of day again.

After exiting the tunnel, Milton surveyed his surroundings and then settled at the spot where Jacob had previously paused.

He couldn’t leave yet, he needed to wait for his opportunity. The night shift changeover might serve as a good opportunity.

“It’s time to test my acting skills!”
